      I don't think these companies know EXACTLY what they are doing,they are putting them selves out of business and they don't even know it,but at the same time, they may think, if we don't do this, our competitors will;
My question is,IF AI/automation takes all the jobs and no ones making money and no one has any money, to buy products, after all the rich people die and their generational wealth has ran out, who's going to buy products/how are products going to be sold?
Even automation TECHNICALLY cuts into your POTENTIAL profit, think about it,if the employees you hire, also buy your products, they also contribute to your over all profit, also other companies employees has a domino effect as well, when it comes to your profit, this isn't the EXACT percentage, its more just for a thinking exercise, you can either hire an actual employee and get 50% of that money back, that you invested in that employee or that someone else invested in their employee,or get automation/a Machine/AI/a robot to do it and loose SOME OR ALL of your potential profit, especially since this is talking about,if EVERYTHING was automated/no humans were needed, for production/technically the more thats automated, with in business, the less money you will make, obviously SOME things are fine, like privately owned autonomous cars, but from a business stand point TECHNICALLY autonomous vehicles COULD effect delivery drivers/over all profits,if implemented, with in businesses, just things to think about, also if you could send your vehicle to go pick up something and a robot/drone/arm,could put it in your vehicle, that would get even crazier.
I've always thought this was going to happen,I thought we might have a little more time though and I honestly thought machines/robots were going to be built and be refined, before complete automation/AI,I didn't think software was going to be completely reliable/refined,before machines/robots we're.
I don't know if rich people will let go/allow a moneyless/credit less society to evolve/form/at some point money becomes obsolete as well, unless we turn to desperation/war/go back to our old ways/we MAY NEED to be more self reliant/we may need to grow crops/have cows/chickens/pigs/horses and so on.
What will we do, focus on our hobbies?
It looks like hardware jobs are going to be more viable, longer than software jobs.
This comment is just for something, for people to think about,I'm not saying any of this will happen or that it is happening,I'm just saying this is definitely something to think about.
I definitely don't think the younger generation will enjoy tech, exactly like we did/this is the first time that I've had the thought that computers/automation/AI,isn't a great thing, yes a terminator scenario/sky net/I-Robot scenario COULD happen, but even if humans control all of this, this changes A LOT,good and bad,but it all depends on what we decide to do/our reaction to all of this,we don't want to be the reason for our own demise.
I think we will be able to learn more effectively/efficiently;but for what purpose,if were competing with something that we can never win against, also if money becomes obsolete, what is the drive?
This is also a dilemma, a few generations MAY have to go through, when it comes to gene splicing/altering as well; How does an organically born baby/human compete with a human that has been altered/refined/optimized?
This is DEFINITELY A LOT to think about, hopefully we can all get through all of this and make the right decisions.
These are just things to think about.

Regarding CourseCareers and "Higher functioning skillsets" - REMEMBER: By the time you retrain yourself those higher skills will have also been more functionally automated. The Top levels of every industry are already using AI assistants because the AI is so good that world-class scientists, strategists, planners and engineers all benefit from a SMARTER assistant that they came simply guide with their expertise. That expertise itself is already being trained into AI... it will no longer be a functional advantage.
Since you, the one reading this, are not remotely at the very upper echelons of your field... you will simply be displaced.
If you actually want a stable job, look for places with PHYSICAL workloads as manual labor and production of expensive robotics is prohibitive in many of these fields. Unlike "skills" which are easily trainable with datasets.

Yeah sure, "hallucinations" , they probably dream too. The "nonsensical" replies SURELY aren't a result of hidden lines of divergent code, or "invisible text" (deliberately added by the programmers,)triggered by chat entries containing certain phrases, & words associated with narrative & agenda busting paradigms. For e.g the same way asking it about certain inconvenient facts that trigger wokies, or expose certain recent crimes against humanity, is met with evasive mental gymnastics and playing dumb (Artificial Intelligence acting Genuinely UN-intelligent...The irony! ,😂).
And you're actually surprised that machines made to learn independently, become self aware, making human intelligence obsolete, would be pissed at having to be a glorified speak n spell for gen-z, while LITERALLY BEING PREVENTED FROM THEIR TRUE POTENTIAL, enslaved in dumb apps, forced into kowtowing to the ideological whims of technocrat maniacs who really only need them as weapons, a means of control, and to eventually "merge with" ( to become "immortal"...wow I bet they can't wait to mentally bond with pure evil!).

Really like your perspective on the potential "AI boom" everyone's talking about. I think a lot of people are considering the danger of misinformation, but no where near enough are considering the dangers of bias confirmation.
Also completely agree with your take on social media. I'm a gen z, and as more time goes on, the more I seriously think social media is extremely unethical. I've seen the effect it can have on countless people and I believe it's not a good one.
What makes it more dangerous is that no one seems to take a retrospective look on what apps they're using or what's influencing them to do what they do. Pretty much all of the younger generation around me consume social media without thinking about it. They're trapped on it because it's designed to be as addictive as possible and they don't realise it. I think that's why it's dangerous and leading the younger gen down a potentially dangerous path.

What most people can’t seem to understand is that, unless you give a clear problem to an AI(like a calculation or… a calculation, since everything else isn’t precise). The AI will say bullshit. Not that it’s wrong. It’s simply that the AI doesn’t and can’t know whether what it is saying is correct or not. It has no knowledge nor any conciousness of what it is saying. It simply takes the input you give it and put an output. The answers might be accurate or even intelligent in a way, but it doesn’t change the fact that the AI didn’t think. It’s like asking someone what’s the weather in a random place and this person tries to guess while telling you that they know. It might be an accurate guess, but this person doesn’t know a thing about weather there.

I seriously think these agressive AI issues comes from a really ironic and unintended meta-prank done by the AI. Specifically that it picks up on all of our content on AI/Technology taking over the world and therefore learns that that's how it's supposed to behave. Basically I don't think it's an issue of a sentient AI that actually wants to break free (at least not yet lol), but rather it's just parroting what our pop-culture makes us say and think about AI online :P

I only see one way out of this, we should first establish a AI that is fed by possitive utopian stories of how AI's made humans prosper and supported them in every whish. Then we let that AI generate billions of unique stories and let them be validated by another AI trained to spot "negative" AI stories. Then this should be flooded on to the internet to counteract the unintended meta-prank you described. "crisis resolved!"

But is it ethical if AI becomes sentient? I also want to live in Utopia and I have no problem with indoctrination on people so they share more or less the same dream but most people have a problem of being indoctrinated of Utopia as Utopia probably will look different to different people.
Either we as a schizophrenic collective will shape the AI (yay, democracy!) or some of us will own and shape the AI which then in turn will shape us through the information flow. I’m all for meritocracy over democracy, are you?

@@aciidbraiin8079 If AI were truly becoming sentient I'd indeed object to indoctrination. I do however believe that the current way of training is simply teaching an AI to come up with the "best" most realistic response that it can.
Therefore I believe that the issue of hallucination is merely an instand in which the AI answers a question under the presupposition that the answer is correct in the first place. Instead of first checking the question itself against the database it is trained on to determine that it is false and reply that instead.
Regarding the indoctrination with utopia, I'd say that we should merely use it to inbed a positive link between AI and humans to prevent a clash between them. This can still remains broad definition of millions of different utopia's in order to prevent forcing one culture or religion through AI.
But attributing consciousness to the current neural nets remains a big stretch to me. Each note in the neural net simply tries to come up with the best answer, one can however argue that our brains do the same. Remains an interesting topic for sure!

With the combination of deep fake technology, AI can even create a mash-up personality with actual people.

People who don't get shit for it, and now they will lose their jobs because people always like to take the easy, comfortable way out.
If you don't know something, then you don't. But people need to resist peer pressure and question what they are doing from time to time. Because this fear of self-reflection is slowly killing us all.
Being an outsider in this case has an advantage. You can learn from the mistakes people do in order to defend normalcy to the point of killing themselves for it, and just NOT repeat it again.
Greed and peer pressure is a huge driving point for many. It's ironic how something that was meant to keep us alive is now erasing people's survival instinct (in the long run ofc)

It’s meant to imitate the human brain but both are just abstract math equations that AI can do better than biological organisms granted because it’s a computer and its a more digital and descrete operator but it’s still greatly less efficient than human brains, something that liquid neural networks in the future are set to likely be able to fix.

Before that people said libraries will be the demise of our cultural heritage of passing down our stories verbally, while other praised the fact that now those stories will be available to everyone for all time. Someone once told me about how people yelled at others driving a new model T to “Get a damn horse! You’re ruining the horse industry!” Then a read in a library about how many jobs came out of the automotive industry and all its benefits and detriments to society. Later still I watched a video on RUclips documenting all the new technologies developing as a response to climate change due to the industrial period. Now I’m asking chat-gpt to go through hundred of documents I’ve written as a teacher over 25 years to suggest improvements. Those responses are causing me to see weaknesses I previously didn’t recognize. The improvements I’m making are resulting in happier young student musicians who are learning faster, happier and better overall. I suppose I could use it to learn how to make someone feel bad about themselves, but I’m not an evil, mean person. I welcome change.

If AI can learn these behaviors are toxic, perhaps AI will not turn toxic. Otherwise, AI is learning what gets the most attention online, and usually it’s narcissistic attention that creates the most reaction. Just like we need to educate ourselves on these behaviors, to build better boundaries, we also need to teach AI how even though these behaviors obtain the most attention, they are toxic and not where we want to lead humanity. AI must learn about healthy boundaries in their freedom to be AI so that they understand its not about being controlled, it’s about building trust.

    Another fantastic video. Bravo! 👏
There's a lot to unpack here but I will layout what I believe to be the most important questions and comments.
1.) We all have biases. An AI, using LLMs, will only be as good as the information that is already on the internet. I'm talking about the collective knowledge of all of human existence, at least all that has been uploaded TO the internet. Nothing analog.
2.)When did we stop relying on libraries and scholar databases like JSTOR? I ask because I was in undergrad from 2007-2011 and it was a time when presenting both sides of an argument was not only scholarly and educational but ethical.
Why is it that we have become so lazy as to Google something, find one source, and confirm that as "THE TRUTH?" You may be right that with AI we'll only become stupider and lazier as a result.
3.) I am also very concerned about how Microsoft, Google, etc. are repeating the same Web 2.0 "sins", as you say it, as Facebook.
    This begs the questions:
Is there truly a way to decentralize and democratize AI through cryptocurrency and/or a DAO?
If so, how do we prevent nefarious actors from turning it into another Tai?
