I'm just coming from the end of this amazing series to leave this comment. If you're thinking of dropping this masterpiece please don't. The series is so good that you'd forget to sleep. It'd keep you at the edge of your seat. The script is so well written and the cast did an amazing job bringing each character to life. Well-done guys❤
Alliance is a wonderful drama! There are multiple stories that are excitedly intriguing and the Actors play their parts so well! You won’t feel like fast forwarding because the drama keeps you on edge! 💜💜
This is one of the best chinese drama, I have ever come across. It is very educating for me. I never thought that a mistress is right or wrong, but this drama has opened my eyes. Jiang Xi, is an excellent actress, every move gesture, tone is superb. Watch this, I highly recommend. (another like are the M/L is not 7ft and the F/L is 4ft. I find disturbing when the F/L reaches to the M/L armpit)
It’s important for women to be independent, and build their careers. Often times, educated women who stay home don’t take the trouble to dress up. Their husbands are successful, good looking and usually have an affair. It’s sad and disappointing. She’s pretty and such a supportive wife.
Even if women dress up a cheater will be a cheater, you are not in charge of your spouses sins. Seek therapy and you may need to divorce if needed. In 1st world countries we sadly have the luxury to divorce, when the contract/trust is broken and respect is gone will you be proud to stand next to your husband? Or God forbidden teach this to your children that women can handle this level of abuse for the sake of "holy" marriage, nothing is sacred if it's one sided
Exactly there's millions of men and women who take care of their looks and still get cheated on. It's the cheaters fault, besides it should be ok to not wear makeup 24/7 just to keep your spouse faithful.

This drama is very good! It’s reflecting a lot of things happening in real life…We can learn a lot of things, tricks from it! The saddest part is when a woman who loves and trusts her husband finds out he has an affair… It can say, the feelings are so unbelievably painful, biting deeply into the heart…As women, we have to face the fact, to solve it, to pull through difficult times, but once things settled, we feel like to be reborn to start a new life chapter. Life isn’t short, so don’t stuck in mud. The most important is women must learn to be independent, have her own career & earnings, save money for rainy days…
This is the second time i see the second ML playing as cheating husband from capable n loving wife 😅 hope i didnt see on his next drama with same role again
I'm up to episode 10 on this and really enjoying it more than I thought I would. A cautionary tale for women- always be in charge of your own destiny, because you really can't rely on others.
okay okay okay, i majorly suck at names....even the american actors!!! but want to pop a shout out for the lady in white at the begining of this series. If, and I have this right (please be right), she had a part in Ruyi's royal love in the palace. Loved her part she played. She has a really great range of type of person she wants to play, but I love that she plays the bad girl, mischief, she is someone who could be a "good" girl part, but with a sneaky revenge beneath if you cross her line.... I had to get that out of my system.
If you mean the 'mistress' I agree, is superb, I love her so much, this is my first time I have seen her acting. So beautiful too. Her struggle with her mother and brother is so upsetting to watch.
Not sure about Ruyi’s Royal Love in the Palace but she was in Yanxi Palace. She was the concubine that appeared at the later part of the drama. Also, Yanxi Palace is a must watch for Chinese drama fans!

I thought that all mothers are wonderful (mine was, she passed two months ago) not Jiang xi mother. The cheating husband never told her he was married, at the beginning, they never do. I never thought that been a mistress was right or wrong. Poor girl, selling the gifts she received toget money to pay for rent, brother, etc, so sad. Bur what an amazing actress. I found it hard to watch the downtrodden wife.

From what I read about this drama, seems like a version of "the good wife". But 30 eps at 40 mins each is just too much. It's just another lying cheating scumbag, a biatch and a wife starting her life over. Seen many versions of these types of drama. Will watch some of it to see if it's worth watching.

Of all the Chinese series I watched, this one was the best with its story filled with lots of lessons, the reality that many women live.

I think a man playing with his wedding ring is a good "tell" for cheating. I hope the wife takes him for everything he has.
