This is one of my favorites!! Loved that she just wanted custody of her daughter and moved to make that happen. I also loved that his second wife was richer than he was and he couldn't use the same tricks when dealing with people with more money than he had.

The husbands are absolutely scumbags. We see movies with housewives being cheated on all the time so this breakdown is crap. If I'm correct, the FL didn't work, and her husband had numerous affairs, got another woman pregnant and planned to leave his wife destitute after divorce. The wife teamed up with his mistress to make sure she got custody of their child. He ended up with nothing and in jail. Cheating is a common theme in movies. These women made their choice to survive, whatever that meant for them.

Sister Wei justify herself in her dialog to Lin Shuang, she blames herself for her husband's behaviour. She beng too strong minded career woman! Had Lin Shuang married GuXi 15 years ago, could GuXi withstand Lin Shung's successful career more than himself...? After all he moved to America because he cannot compete with Lin Shuang at thenlical university.
