And So It Goes was written about Elle, who is 10 years younger than Christie. Billy, who was only 4 or 5 years older than Brinkley knew it wouldn't work out and didn't know how to go about ending the relationship. He knew it would end in time and didn't mean for Christie to take her place. It just happened. the two of them were in the Carribean one night Billy was there playing the piano. Whitney Houston happened to be there as well.

Billy must’ve been a smooth talker to get two of the most beautiful women in the world to date/marry him. To me he looks like a regular dude nothing special I’m kind of surprised they went for him.

I read that Ellen was too expensive. The mannagers of her didn't want it. But, we don't know the real facts because Billie is a smart musician. He hates the gossip programs.😅

I saw that and thought it was probably written about Elle, but by the time they were ready to shoot the video he was with Christie. There was definitely overlap there.
