I have a midnight MacBook Air m2. I was apprehensive at first about the color but I couldn’t get myself to get the boring silver and I’m glad I didn’t. The midnight does get fingerprints like mad, but I think it creates a sort of petina on the computer that makes it unique. As for scratches, I have had zero problems.

This guy knows nothing 1. If you keep it charging forever the battery charge icon changes to a plug icon indicating that it is only using wall power and the battery isn’t being charged 2. Use any usb hub it honestly doesn’t matter unless it has spyware on it or something. You don’t have to be too careful using a MacBook and use like every other laptop 👍

Ive been using silicone keyboard cover since 2019 macbook pro and haven't got a single problem, the screen does get a little dust mark but just wipe it off with microfiber, so yeah no permanent screen damage at all.
the certified chargers are a must because the after market ones can actually catch fire, it nearly happened to my sister's one, she bought a used macbook and the seller gave an after market charger and it got so hot when charging that there was a smell of burning plastic, the hard case & silicone keyboard placements are also legitimate because the hard cases put pressure on the screen and unless you remove the silicone keyboard placement before you close the screen it could leave imprints in the screen or cause the screen to damage with lines down the screen eventually which also happens if you use a webcam cover and keep it attached when you close the macbook

I'm having a Space Gray MBP. I'm using it gentle and carry it in my backpack in laptop compartment. It's always clean and has no scratches! So I can disagree with the author.
My M1 Air has 128 charge cycles and it's at 95% charge. I often use an Anker 12W brick to charge it and basically keep it between 40-75% charge while working on it

It’s even better to use your MacBook (M Chips) while it’s on charging, because what mac basically does is, it is using the power adapter as and power source and the cycle of the battery won’t be effected, and the battery are build the way that they can not overcharge, and if it is on 100% its basically stop charging, you can check that under System Information>Power
SPG i've found is quite resistant. Only had my mac for 2 months but not a single mark despite being in and out my bag every day, slid across tables, hit by keys etc

Wear and tear is always going to happen with any device. It doesn't matter what accessories you use or what color your computer is, it will wear down over time. Don't get me wrong, it's always a good idea to take care of your devices, but you're making laptops look like they are way more fragile than they are. As long as the user is at least somewhat careful with their laptop, it's ok. It doesn't need to be coddled like it costs as much as a house!
