Great review! My aunty was reading this book and convinced me to pick it up too. I'm really into historical fiction and from the sounds of it, this is definitely something I would enjoy. Hopefully I get around to reading it soon!
This is one of those books that I bought ages ago and it's still sitting in my parents house, unread. Definitely going to get to it when I'm home in the summer :) x
I read that book and the chapter that I enjoyed reading was "an insects wing" and "wine stains", those chapters i found interesting. My favorite characters are Lola, Priest, and Rabbi, and now i have an essay to do and i am having trouble hahahahaha -_______- but i am working on it slowly but getting there :D
Rebecca, I am just starting to read this book. I liked your review. By the way, for anyone out there who is done reading this or wants some background there is a video from the BBC about the Sarajevo Haggadah you may want to check out: : ruclips.net/video/9EC6j2dDSJs/видео.html Your description of the plot of this book reminds me of the movie "The Red Violin" which has a similar set up, and Samuel Jackson (Nick Fury - Marvel's Avengers) stars in it. Enjoy.
A fantastic book. I enjoyed reading it every minute.
