Brian is one of the few people I love and hate. I have nothing but respect for him, his family and compassion for his loss. I even had my picture taken with him when he was in Calgary and I'm Oilers fan. I miss people like him that don't pander. He doesn't care if you like him or not. He doesn't try to coddle the media or anyone else. Long live a shinning example of a great man and person.
Kevin Lowe shouldn’t be throwing stones about what kind of hockey market Anaheim is in (I’m not a Ducks fan). Players aren’t exactly tripping over each other to go to Edmonton. When you haven’t won a damn thing in over 30 years, you should keep the yapping to a minimum. Besides, when Lowe was playing for the Oilers it was players like Gretzky, Messier, Kurri, Coffey, and Fuhr that made them winners. I don’t think people associated Lowe that much during the dynasty, or more likely, nothing at all. Some people have no idea who the hell they are. Talk about living in the past. He (Lowe) talks as if the Oilers are still relevant, perennial Cup contenders. Give me a break.
Sather and his ex-wife saved him from a beat down. Kevin Lowe may not have been the best GM, but he could have easily kicked Burke's bee-hind. That said, I wish they went ahead with it anyways.

I’ve never heard the actual audio from Lowe and I fully understand why Burke wanted to fight him now especially since they were actual friends before.
