@@ryanb8736 Khabib was very mindful of not getting hit too much, his body language actually always showed that he doesn't like having shots thrown at him at all. Once he got his opponents where he needed them, the striking was nullified. You can tell the difference when you watch some other grapplers in the UFC - some of them get lit up while trying to grapple and they kind of fall apart. I fought an aikido master once, he moved my body in ways I didn't think were possible. I felt so vulnerable and powerless to his aikido control. I ended up tapping out although I wanted the moment to last longer. Ever since then I developed a respect for alkido and the strong young men who use it. Especially the men who use it on me since every time I fight an aikido master I gain experience. And the strong desire to fight again with these young men. I've been paired up against many men in my life but none of those men were as strong as the guys I fought in aikido. My aikido needs work though as last year this guy got me in a triangle choke, which I found it hard to get out. Especially since he had strong thick legs that squeezed me tight. Personally I'm better at submitting people in twisters or rear naked chokes, they're probably my favorite positions. Especially when I have an audience that always gets me excited ☺️

Khabib is and always will be the best competitor. He knew how to stack all the advantages for his side and leave his opponent with every disadvantage possible. I still remember him yelling at Belal telling him that Sean Brady was jetlagged. One of the greatest competitors in MMA, GSP was the same except he's more of a fighter than Khabib. He took more risks and so took more damage.
GSP even said Khabib is one of the scariest opponents. He said he tells you what to train for, you know his fighting style already, so you get all prepared. Once in that ring with Khabib, your plan gets washed away fast as Khabib walks you down and punishes you. All while talking to you as you fight for your life.
That’s why GSP said Khabib is one of the scariest opponents and also can’t be beat.
Remember what he had on his shirt if sambe was easy it would be called bjj. Always makes me laugh
Yet he never fought a real good bjj fighter
@fabriziogarreta7400 because none of them were at the top of the division until after he retired lol. Islam easily tapped olivera ,and thats supposed to be baby khabib. Its just funny didnt need to be true but theres no evidence to disprove it.
@@brandonprice119 why do you think he retired? Lol Islam is much better than khabib. There’s a video of them sparring and Islam’s lighting him up lol. Charles lost cause Islam dropped him. Khabib had piss poor striking.
@fabriziogarreta7400 he retired because his father passed and he promised his mother. I dont think islam is better he is more complete but khabibs grappling was a whole different thing. Charles lost because he tapped.
@@brandonprice119 that’s bullshit. His father always wanted for him to be 30-0. He promised that to him too. He still had a whole row of fighters to fight, he chickened out. No offense but you sound like a fanboy, Charles lost cause he got dropped from Islam, THEN Islam submitted him after he got rocked. Khabib doesn’t have the precision striking nor the striking defense of Islam.
Khabib is a true legend sambo is very effective
Ok khabib the humble king said it i believe him this man when he wants a interest he turns into a maniac on knkwing it all about what it is and doing it hands on. And thid guy is one of the most humble badass ever.
Wrestling = Best takedowns
Judo = Best takedowns
@@bricedenice_7346isn't judo required clothing, if your opponent goes shirtless it hard to take down

@@ivanjefferson6344nah still easy to take them down with judo
Its good that Khabib ackownledges the unpredicatbility of an MMA fight. No matter how good your wrestling and grappling is, and although wrestling and grappling has been the dominant martial arts in MMA, all it takes is one crazy overhand swing, or an uppercut from hell, and its lights out if it connects right
... or head kick.
@@ernienegrete5702 unless it is khabib's head
That’s why Khabib had the best defense ever. He knew the art of absorption. He’s the only fighter I’ve ever seen use it. He knows how to move to absorb anything thrown at him.
Look at those leg kicks thrown at him. He just ate them like nothing. The sound of them were brutal.
@@ryanb8736 Khabib was very mindful of not getting hit too much, his body language actually always showed that he doesn't like having shots thrown at him at all. It's not like strikes didn't bother him, it's more the fact that he knew he had to be able to take a few good hits while working on making it his kind of fight. Once he got his opponents where he needed them, the striking was nullified. You can tell the difference when you watch some other grapplers in the UFC - some of them get lit up while trying to grapple and they kind of fall apart. Khabib knew how to survive the striking distance just long enough to get guys down and from that point there was no more striking.
When I did BJJ I was always nervous going against a wrestler. They used to take me down like a rag doll😂 I did learn how to defend a bit, but I never had a good take down to counter theirs.

My son does Judo and MMa. A very good combination.
MMA is not a fighting sports. It‘s the mix of all of them btw. So you cannot combine it. It is already one.
@@yasinblueberryYnot really. It does have a base on its own. Training MMA gives you generalist Game and helps you round what you have. Other martial arts give you the specialist Edge.
@@yasinblueberryY For hobbyists, generally MMA classes are separated from straight BJJ/Wrestling/Boxing/Muay Thai classes.
@@yasinblueberryY He goes to separate classes for each discipline. Slow down kid and take a breath.
@@vittocraziyou don't "train mma" you can spar with mma rules, but mma is not a martial art with techniques you can practice and perfect. If anyone says they'll "teach you mma" they're most likely scamming you because you don't know any better.
Let's not forget he talks all this in an MMA point of frame, for an MMA career sambo + wrestling is a perfect mix to climb up the ladder
He's correct. This is why wrestlers are better at jiujitsu when they cross over vs someone doing only jiujitsu
He's not wrong. How many times have you seen bjj guys get frustrated and just pull guard from the clinch? Or just scoot on the ground trying to grab at an opponents legs until they get stood up?
The subtitles are wrong
He didn't say "underground"
He said "on the ground"

True, but it depends on the gym.
What episode is this?
I hear you. Brother!
Combat sambo is pretty much mma
Yup. With head and shin protection. Pretty much only difference
Kazushi Sakuraba: "hold my beer"
Sambo is Wrestling, Judo and Jujitsu with some striking aspects. It’s often ignored just because it’s relatively new and it doesn’t have the ancient mysticism that people like in martial arts.
He looks like Mafia ❤
Underground jiu jutsu would be cool. Just need light sand
So wrestle, kids. This has been preached, rightfully so for 1000's of years. Always build your foundation with wrestling
if Aussie Rugby was easy, it will be called combat sambo.
yeah.. over proud
bogan 😂
islam beat volk 4-1 lmfaoooo
When did Volk take down Islam?.it was 5th round, it was a knockdown not a takedown.
Rugby is a completely difference sport. It is not a combat sport. No comparison here.
If Aussi Ruby was hard it would be called Rugby.
As a jiu jitsu guy i must say he is right
Alhamdulilallah
My brother learned Sambo and wrestling. He used to beat everyone up in our neighborhood.

Wrestling + bjj beats wrestling + sambo we just don’t see lots of high level bjj guys who wrestle
Combine Karate+TKD+MuayThai for with sambo+wrestling+Judo and its unstoppable
Sambo is already wrestling+bjj+ little bit striking too 😂
