My wife and I just found your channel, love your content and your personal brand you bring to 4Running and over landing. Blessing and prayers for you and your family please keep up the great work and thank you. We are picking up our 2024 4Runner tomorrow and thanks to you our journey will begin on a foundation of wonderful mentorship … Hope to see you out there someday. “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. WOW!! We are retired & live in Florence, Or. Your video is AWESOME!! You make us feel like going out & buying a 4wheel drive vehicle & go out exploring more in this beautiful state of Oregon. My husband does drone photography too & your drone shots were fantastic!! Keep up the great work!!
What an amazing family adventure! You’re son will show this video to his grandchildren someday. Nice work and amazing filming and editing. Looking forward to more!
Love seeing you with your family out exploring. Very impressive video. You captured some great moments with your wife and son. Beautiful drone shots, great slow motion clips and just an awesome video. Hope to see more of these!!
@@jollytime0811 Thank Miles! You’ll love it out there. I’d recommend shoulder season though cause it gets HOT. We went in late June and it was 100f some days
Wow, awesome video. The production quality is top notch - worthily of NATGEO or Discovery Channel. Thank you for bring us along for your special family moments.
Dude your production quality is off the charts!! Look forward to more of your family's journeys when the 2nd baby arrives! and seeing how you'll fit all the gear with the 2nd car seat 😂
Just returned from camping in that area (Succor Creek). Beautiful place to visit, but I was not prepared for the flies. Since then we have named it the Owflyhee Canyonlands. Could not set a single piece of food out, much less cook, without a thousand flies swarming us. Are the flies a localized or seasonal problem? Met someone from Jordan Valley who said it's the same there. Maybe late August was a bad choice.
@@jjwamwthwaw I recall a few flies here and there but nothing out of the ordinary. We were actually were surprised at how few insects there were. It must be an August thing, we went in late June. I think if we were to go back it would be even earlier in the season for lower temps and more green
What a beautiful film. You’re really hitting your stride as a creator. How did your Wildpeaks treat you on the trip? I need to replace the tires on my rig. Definitely considering the Falkens, but a bit concerned about the weight and road noise. Any thoughts on those things in particular?
@@bobcoats2708 Thank you! 🙏🏼 The Wildpeaks are great! My rig is getting pretty heavy though so the weight is a concern for me as well. The road noise hasn’t been too bad, I’d say on par with other all terrains I’ve ran. If the weight is a dealbreaker I’d go with the Toyo Open Country’s, they are a light AT with a really good tread life warranty. I really liked them when I had them, they were great in the rain too
@@T4Rgarage Haha, yes. I have the Toyo OC AT3s now. They’ve been a good tire for me. Agreed with you regarding the weight; they are one of the lighter all terrain tires. I guess that’s my biggest concern - going from one of the lightest ATs to one of the heaviest. My only complaints are that they got pretty noisy, and their snow traction dropped off quite a lot. Appreciate your time and your thoughts. Hoping for your continued success, and best wishes to you all as you welcome your new baby!
@@augustinechoi2465 I have the prinsu rack and got the low pro prinsu awning mounts. It’s hard to get the awning on and off without loosening the tent clamp mounts once it’s on but it works flawlessly. I thought I’d have to buy some new mounts but it works!
A few years ago, a man, his wife and child, went out into the Owyhees in their pickup in the middle of Winter, They got stuck in the snow and waited for 3 days hoping that someone would come along and rescue them. It didn't happen. On Day 4, the man decided to hike out and go for help. In the meantime, a Search Party found the wife and child still in the pickup. Despite intensive searching, the man's body has never been found, to my knowledge. I keep hoping that someone will one day happen across his remains as it's important that his loved ones have a body to bury. Not too hopeful, though. The abundant Birds of Prey, mountain Lions, and Coyotes have probably hopelessly scattered his bones everywhere.
That's crazy, poor family. I can totally see how that could happen though. We always carry a Garmin InReach with us just in case as this is also a fear of mine

Thanks so much! Congrats on the new 4runner. You made a great choice with the 2024/5th generation. Hope to see you out there one day as well
This channel needs some more visibility. It will explode. Some of the best footage I have seen on RUclips. Especially with 4Runner content.
Thanks Ian! Hopefully 🤞🏼
Dude, this footage is 🔥. I’ve shot a couple of my adventures, but nothing like this. Keep up the amazing work!

Incredible storytelling. Oregon is my home state but I've never made it out there. This has inspired me to plan a trip there in my 4Runner!

Awesome video over all. 100%

Thanks man!! I was actually just listening to your podcast the other day where you were talking about the Owyhee

they want to make it into a national monument. say goodby to access.
@@tryless4me I really hope not 👎🏼 Everyone out there seems to respect the land already and it isn’t overly popular due to its location
I can't believe this place made it this long without " protection ".
