This was the year I started sewing my own clothing! I swore I would never sew from a pattern again after a bad experience about 10 years ago, but here I am, enjoying the slow and creative process
Good for you for trying again! I love hearing that you are enjoying the process of it :)
Favorite thing I made was a dress. It will be my first project made by myself.
Thankful for your videos! I recently started watching and I have a fresh love of sewing.
I'm so happy to hear it could help ignite a fresh love of sewing in you! How fun you made your first dress by yourself - that is a lot to celebrate!
Watching your videos is like meditation for me. Thank you for sharing your creations with us ❤
Oh thats so kind! Thank you for watching, Kim 💛
I made Christmas outfits in matching fabrics for my littles this year. I used two of your patterns and everyone was so pleased with the results. I got a new sewing machine and serger for my birthday and Christmas from my husband. I look forward to creating new outfits for them and myself. I would love to learn hand smocking because this was a craft my mom did for my sister and me. It would be cute to create a matching dress for my granddaughter’s doll.
Oh how sweet, Catherine! I love that you got both a serger and sewing machine this year - what a great gift!
I made several of your beautiful rectangle dresses in different lengths and added different pockets to each one. I had such lovely comments from people and enjoyed making them so very much. Your are the most lovely soul and have inspired me and instilled confidence that I didn’t think was possible. Thank you so very much for all your hard work, your time and inspiration. Warmest of Christmas wishes to you and your family. 🥰❄️⛄️🎄
I love that you made the same dress multiple times with a different twist! :)
And your words are incredibly kind, thank you! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
I was fortunate to have the time this year to make many things for friends and family. The last items that I made were the Morea Crossbody Bags from Rooney - one for my sister and one for my niece. I anticipated using denim, but my sister and niece wanted something a bit more vibrant so I went with a cotton floral for my sister and a bright sunflower "happy face" print for my niece. Both turned out beautifully and I have to say that the instructions that were provided were perfect. Thank you.
I love hearing that you had that time, Christine! I'm also so happy to hear the Morea Bags turned out great for you :)
Your video just popped up on my feed. I am 59 and wanted to learn how to sew this coming year although, I don’t really know where to start.
I think right now is a great time to begin!
For starting, practicing stitching straight lines and then choosing a super simple project like a tote bag is a great place to start. There are so many great resources online to help you along your sewing journey! I'm cheering you on :)
You are looking beautiful my little champion!
Wishing you all a blessed Christmas and a New year filled with wonderful adventures and an abundance of God's blessings.
Thank you Shani! Merry Christmas to you :)
Your patchwork bible cover with fabric from all your projects is such a great idea!
Merry Christmas! ✝️ May God continue to inspire your creativity.
Oh thank you!! :)
Merry Christmas to you and your family, and a Happy New Year. May 2024 be happy and healthy. ❤❤❤
Thank you!! Merry Christmas 🧡
Really beautiful projects you completed, the smocking is fascinating. Wishing your family continued blessings, you're so appreciated!
Thank you so much, I am thankful you are here :)
Merry Christmas and thank you for sharing your talent and beautiful daughter with such pretty dresses!! Such a calming soul you have! God bless and I look forward to next year with you!!
Thank you, Madeline!
I made my very first nightgown which is the only clothing I have ever made since being an adult. I learned a lot and it is a beautiful result!
Oh I love that idea! Sounds like it turned out beautiful :)
I love watching and I love your patterns.. You are so peaceful Merry Christmas and Happy New year
Oh thank you, Cindy! Merry Christmas to you!
Thank you for sharing with us your projects and your plans. Wishing you a wonderful year filled with joy and creativity.
I made only a couple of garments last year but definitely plan to sew a lot more this year.
I didnt make as much as I wanted to this year, but I've been growing a baby! I think my favorite make was a dress for myself for Easter, made of crinkle rayon. It was SO difficult to work with, but the result was so beautiful and twirly and fun.
Growing a baby is a big feat! I also love that you pushed through the difficult fabric to an end result you love! How rewarding :)
I re-sew my old curtains. I made smaller curtains, pillows covers and coverlet cover 😅 I’m just started sewing few months ago. I think I will make a skirt before this year ends. Wish me luck! Love y’all!
Good luck with all your sewing ventures and projects! :)
None of knows everything...that's what we have in common 😊
You are so right :)
hello! Merry Christmas! I made your stitched bible cover for myself and one for my Aunt. I stitched a pattern that I could stamp and iron on because drawing or sketching is not my talent. I love how they turned out! Thanks sew so much for all your inspiration!
I love that :) I also think a stamp and iron pattern is the perfect way to embroider a design! Well done :)
❤
I made three quilts and a quilted runner.
Sounds like a fruitful year :) Quilts take a lot of love!
Do you have any tips on walking your pattern/seamlines? I just heard this term today and I'm having a really hard time wrapping my head around how/why it's a thing.
🧡💛🧡💛🧡💛🧡
Thanks for all of your support this year!
Where do you find all your lovely fabrics?
Hi! I get them from many different sources. Mainly: Etsy, Blackbird Fabrics, Joann Fabrics, and ISeeFabric. Here is a video with my favorite places to find fabric: ruclips.net/video/i-VNYr5Fd8c/видео.html
@@RooneySewingPatterns Ty so much. I'm new here and so enjoying all your lovely makes♥️
🪡 I didn't get anything sewn this year. But I've been working on cross stitch.
Enjoy your work
Ah, I think cross stitch sounds like a nice, calming practice :)
