Hi Courtney and followers, especially quietlife 7186. I am trying to finish a lot of my crochet, knitting, embroidery and macrame projects I started years ago and due to life put aside. While doing this I am attempting to improve my sewing skills. I am starting small with pillow cases, toys etc. I too was struck by what quietlife 7186 said that while crocheting she feels like she is "putting her life in order somehow". I too have thst same feeling as well when crafting. Ecclesiastes 3:1-9 talks about different times. "A time to heal...A time for gathering stones...A time for keeping.... A time to repair... A time to be quiet." All are times that we need in order for us as busy women to then go out and be all that is expected of mothers either in the home and/or at work. This time is precious as we make, pray and talk to Our Lord and God who blessed us with these skills.❤😊

Your approach on YT is amazing, and I love the designs you are putting out - simple, flowing, and natural, with a focus on sustainable fabrics. I am finishing my first pair of jeans this next week and they are coming together very well. Afterwards, I plan on sewing some slip dresses with various fabrics and patterns for myself, my sister and my niece. Spring is just around the corner and having a few finished dresses will be convenient to throw on before going on a day trip to the lake or beach.
Oh! A pair of jeans, how amazing! I also love the idea of slip dresses to throw on -- how sweet of you to make one for your sister and niece as well :) Enjoy making!
As of right now I want to learn to sew a fitted bodice and do some quilting of some sort. Maybe a jacket! I love your go with the flow approach. I have four little so it really works for me. Thanks Courtney! I appreciate you!
Love this! I’m planning on making the Betty wrap dress this year as I already have the pattern! I’m also in a season of holding my plans loosely so anything else is just a bonus!
I enjoy quilting & embroidery and this year I’m participating in two online via RUclips block of month with both making a queen size quilt and an embroidery project which happens to coordinate with the quilt. I’m also planning to make another backpack.
I'm one of your elderly followers who used to make clothing for myself and my children when I was your age 💖!!! Due to health challenges, I have not sewn for a long while, but I would love to make some projects that I can do from my chair. I am not able to sit up or stand for very long, so I don't think that I will be able to sew much by machine. I have enjoyed crocheting a lot!!! It's like I feel like I am putting life in order somehow when I crochet 🧶!!! I love your commitment to Christ and your ideas and how you are choosing to spend your precious time.
