Thanks for a great demo Simon. Very helpful in my decision to buy. I absolutely LOVE that Divided by 13 model. And the other features really make it a no brainer for what I'm looking for.
Hi just wondering will it remove all the presets and sounds on the presets list if i do a factory restore on my amp or will it just take it back to all the original presets, sorry if that sounds like a bit of a stupid question, Thanks
I have this amp put the bad thing about is that it goes full volume automatically when I change to a different artist or a song. Any way I could change that?
The good thing about line 6's is they model so many amps that they are great tools for finding the tones you want, and how you want to sound. Then you can demo higher end amps and see which produces your sound the best.
hey i gotta question i know that it will sound like if i were an idiot its just that i have problems of sound with this amp.. when i select one of the chennaels i have to put themates volume or just the volume at my guitar that quiestion is because every time that i try to put crunch or hi gain or metal or insane it seems that the amp will explode because of the high volume but it really its at the minimum!!!! i dont know whats goning on please help me
well, what wattage do u have, becuase the more watts, the louder the amp will be. My old amp was 15 and at its highest volume, it was only a 2 on my 75 watt one
Is it possible to play this model in an upstairs apartment? I was looking at the 30 cause I don't need anything too loud, but the 75 has like 20x the features.
@xxguitargirl94xx if you have the spider 75 or more, you have the "manual mode", so when you change your presets, volume don't change. otherwise drop the vol control on your guitar, change the preset, turn a bit your control "chain vol", and your volume will not change
@Mbmaster24 depends on sounds you want to get out of it and what your playing. line 6 amps are good for certain things but if you play a strat and arent really into the heavy side of guitar then id seek another option.
I have the amp, and am always suprised to see how small it looks in online videos. Believe me, the thing is really HEAVY to carry around. Luckily the features are really awesome, especially if you have an FBV MKII pedal with it.
@leonfightsaddler the only amps i've played that doesn't sound good at full gain are orange amps. Really the drive pot on those amps is great and really versatile and dynamic. It's like having multiple channels accesible from the drive pot or your guitar's volume
damn, line 6 has outdone themselves with spider IV. i have a spider III. and i got it not even a whole year before spider IV came out! i'm pissed off, why didn't they release it earlier! i wish i had a spider IV!
i really like line six products but i think every one is aware line 6 clean channels sound phenomenal. the test is going to be whether they can build an amp that can get heavily distorted and maintain definition when you solo through it. instead of the sound breaking up.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I get the idea that the line 6 spider 75, 120 and 150 watt are more then decent amps which give you a hell of options so you dont need to expand it with pedals and pods... The 15 and 30 watt line 6 spiders are on the other hand limited because they almost dont have any presets cause they dont have digital screen menu with all those kind of sounds so if you are a smart kid with limited money you need to buy the 75 w??!?!
@LiNx15 It isn't a Strat, it's a strat-style copy, and it you look closely he's playing on the humbucker so it's no wonder it sounds good with overdrive.
@romankok and @daineymoor in the netherlands the line6 spider IV75w is €279,- and the shortboard used is €198,-. That makes a total of €477,- (~419 pounds/673 USD) at rockpalace. Quite expensive for a beginner/intermediate guitarist, but nothing for someone that rocks on stage. I am definately gonna get me the line6 spider amp, but the shortboard seems a bit much for me right now :)
@Ekwok94 i just tried peavey vypyr 75 today and a line 6 spider iv 30 i expected peavey to be better....but i liked line 6 better :) now it actaully depends on ur choice of sound :)
@Nandwar213 its in one of the presets...or in one of the banks...i don't exactly know where...but after a while you'll surely will find it...it's called like aliens..or something like that...i think:D
@MrToobyy i would personally stick with the Spider 3, i had a Spider 4 for like5 days before i took it back because i do not like the sound of it at all. it almost sounds too digital for me. i am going to guitar this weekend and picking up a Spider 3 HD150 and the 4x12 cab. my friend has it and it kicks ass lol i play a Schecter Synyster Custom too
@AngelOfChaos963 So did you think that the spider IV sounded worse than the 3? I have the Spider 3 HD 150w with a Crate cabinet... I love the sound of it, you can turn it INSANELY LOUD. Check out my Song Eclipse on my channel, It's recorded with the Spider 3. Anyway I've been thinking about getting the spider 4, but do you think it's a bad idea?
I have a spider IV 15 watt amp. Its a great amp. I can play some psychedelic rock in the crunch channel along with the effects and stuff. In the metal channel I set up the drive, bass and the mid depending if I wanna play some hard rock or some metal. I stopped using the insane channel. Its a great amp but I think Marshall is a little better with the hard rock tone but the Line 6 spider IV got a great hard rock tone too but its not the same as the Marshall.
I have this amp and absolutely love it! Especially sense its been updating sense this vid. I just have problems micing it correctly :s anybody care to give some advice? I play heavy metal so I have a lot of distortion.
Thanks! I just bought the 75w and FBV SB MkII and I'm having a blast!
Thanks for a great demo Simon. Very helpful in my decision to buy.
I absolutely LOVE that Divided by 13 model. And the other features really make it a no brainer for what I'm looking for.
I think this is the best review of an amp I've ever seen. Plus the accent makes it all the better :)
I love my Spider iV too!! Great job!
I'm buying it right away!!!!
Does it have an internal noise gate/suppressor? If not which one is good to buy?
amazing review, helped me choose if i should buy one or not (i did, and i love it) played amazing aswell :)
that loop sounds really nice :)
I got the 75 watt version id suggest going to your guitar store and trying one out this videos does it no justice
Hi just wondering will it remove all the presets and sounds on the presets list if i do a factory restore on my amp or will it just take it back to all the original presets, sorry if that sounds like a bit of a stupid question, Thanks
@chriscobonham Have you got the 75 ? was thinking of gettin the one of the spider 4 amps but not sure which one.
hey, im trying to decide between this and epiphone valve junior stack.Any help?
@rhettanator2000
I am in the exact same boat as you. I'm trying to decide between this one and the vypyr 30
Anyone know what the song/amp setting is right at the very beginning?
I have this amp put the bad thing about is that it goes full volume automatically when I change to a different artist or a song. Any way I could change that?
The good thing about line 6's is they model so many amps that they are great tools for finding the tones you want, and how you want to sound. Then you can demo higher end amps and see which produces your sound the best.
@leonfightsaddle Do you know if the clean channel can take like a boss metal zone?
Or something like that.
I'm planning on doing that.
does the Line 6 spider IV work with the Line 6 POD HD500
in a part of the intro you are playing Medicated of Octavarium?
hey could i get the tabs for that song you played with the loop?
LUV IT LUV IT LUV IT
hey i gotta question i know that it will sound like if i were an idiot its just that i have problems of sound with this amp.. when i select one of the chennaels i have to put themates volume or just the volume at my guitar that quiestion is because every time that i try to put crunch or hi gain or metal or insane it seems that the amp will explode because of the high volume but it really its at the minimum!!!! i dont know whats goning on

well, what wattage do u have, becuase the more watts, the louder the amp will be. My old amp was 15 and at its highest volume, it was only a 2 on my 75 watt one
do you get that pedal with the amp or do you have to buy it?
i have one and it works just fine
Is it possible to play this model in an upstairs apartment? I was looking at the 30 cause I don't need anything too loud, but the 75 has like 20x the features.
im buying the 30 watts one, but just for doing some playing on my own in my room. Anyone got any opinions about it?
i have a spider iv 15 i can never get the distortion to turn down so i cant get it to sound good
should i get a peavey vypyr 30???sum1 please reply
What's the song called what he's playing at the beginning, it sound very familiar
whats that first song??
@xxguitargirl94xx if you have the spider 75 or more, you have the "manual mode", so when you change your presets, volume don't change. otherwise drop the vol control on your guitar, change the preset, turn a bit your control "chain vol", and your volume will not change
which song is from 0:30 to 0:50 ?
thats a nice sounding amp
@fx5guitar7player9 how can I save the setting, and it's allright thank you
its nice like the finish
can you record playing and then transfer it to the computer?
what is that song at 3:00 ???
whats first song
nice amp and this guy has a great ear for riffing and arangements.
@LiNx15 It sounds nice because it's an esp model
How does One go about getting a sound Like at 1:15
@Mbmaster24 depends on sounds you want to get out of it and what your playing. line 6 amps are good for certain things but if you play a strat and arent really into the heavy side of guitar then id seek another option.
I have the amp, and am always suprised to see how small it looks in online videos. Believe me, the thing is really HEAVY to carry around. Luckily the features are really awesome, especially if you have an FBV MKII pedal with it.
@WeAreCumming The 75 watt is a 1x12 the 120 is a 2x10 and the 150 is a 2x12
@colashanacogh if you have the fbv short board it pretty good. Get a 120 or 150 watt for larger gigs.
@dreske3 AM? It's got its uses I suppose. Personally I think "FM", which is preset 3D is pretty badass.
@Zaitso811 it's still an ESP. ESP uses the strat shape for their guitars.
Hey, i want to buy one. Do i buy it or not?
@topografer It only has a drive knob but no gain knob.
@leonfightsaddler ya I found doing the mic thing works really well
is this better then the marshall mg100
@LiNx15 Well, it has a "fat strat" pickup configuration (humbucker on the bridge).
@UnknownMisfit1 huh? what do you mean?
This pretty much kicks ass. Of course you'll need a footswitch, but this amp is a major step up from the spider III
@leonfightsaddler the only amps i've played that doesn't sound good at full gain are orange amps. Really the drive pot on those amps is great and really versatile and dynamic. It's like having multiple channels accesible from the drive pot or your guitar's volume
@Depaully nope. if you already have an amp which is loud enough for you, i would look into line6 pods rather than a new line6 amp entirely.
@DRKALX Thanks again ^^
This one WAY better I think.I've tried them both
like how you got the guitar in drop d just like that
@LiNx15 its an esp.. they're made for heavy distortion
damn, line 6 has outdone themselves with spider IV. i have a spider III. and i got it not even a whole year before spider IV came out! i'm pissed off, why didn't they release it earlier! i wish i had a spider IV!
Line 6 IV was used in many recording studios..
i really like line six products but i think every one is aware line 6 clean channels sound phenomenal. the test is going to be whether they can build an amp that can get heavily distorted and maintain definition when you solo through it. instead of the sound breaking up.
@DRKALX Thanks :D I'll know that when I get it for christmas :)
Can you give me the tabs that u playedd of 5:03 to :6:07
the tone at 1:08 is SICK!
Can you get a warm, fat jazz tone out of it like Wes Montgomery and Pat Martino? Would someone please give a demonstration? Thanks.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I get the idea that the line 6 spider 75, 120 and 150 watt are more then decent amps which give you a hell of options so you dont need to expand it with pedals and pods...

i want that guitar, and the accent.
is that a George Lynch model guitar? love it.
@LiNx15 It isn't a Strat, it's a strat-style copy, and it you look closely he's playing on the humbucker so it's no wonder it sounds good with overdrive.
dude wt the song on 5:03 :)
@romankok and @daineymoor in the netherlands the line6 spider IV75w is €279,- and the shortboard used is €198,-. That makes a total of €477,- (~419 pounds/673 USD) at rockpalace. I am definately gonna get me the line6 spider amp, but the shortboard seems a bit much for me right now :)
a Diezel Herbert is one of the greatest amps made. they have massive gain, and that is what the new amp model is modeling
@DimebagDarrellCFH13 Have you even played this amp?
@fx5guitar7player9 thanks! You helped me there, now it's time for me to experiment =D
i would've liked it if you used you're bridge and middle pups too
@Ekwok94 i just tried peavey vypyr 75 today and a line 6 spider iv 30 i expected peavey to be better....but i liked line 6 better :) now it actaully depends on ur choice of sound :)
@Nandwar213 its in one of the presets...or in one of the banks...i don't exactly know where...but after a while you'll surely will find it...it's called like aliens..or something like that...i think:D

@tjompiskompis congratulations man :) and yea no problem :D
@AngelOfChaos963

Anyway I've been thinking about getting the spider 4, but do you think it's a bad idea?
dude you hit the strings o hard
@DRKALX Your awesome :D
@surferboy14lp im having a marshall, when you cant afford a big amp or go on stage, Line 6 is great too. both are good amps, according to your opinion
@LiNx15 it's an esp, so technically it's not a strat :D
@leonfightsaddler turning the drive knob doesnt give it any bad sound dude i have one it works fine..maybe yours has a malfunction or something
To all people who have this amp: Go into the User-presets, and select 3A. That one is great!
@daineymoor no you can see he has a line 6 board... which looks very expensive ^^
@someone0209 it's still not a strat. it just has a similar body style but compared side by side there is differences.
@IMBACHABRI yes
Yup. I have a Diezel VH4 and a Herbert. Both are amazing....but they are fricking expensive.
@EllStock no it doesnt, you need to buy the foot switch separately!
I have this amp and absolutely love it! Especially sense its been updating sense this vid. I just have problems micing it correctly :s anybody care to give some advice? I play heavy metal so I have a lot of distortion.
@Geepsterr this guy knows what hea talkin about!
@btbameu i think im going with the peavey
@leonfightsaddler i agree
there should be a top gear amp show sort of thing!
