Pusta disco maravilhoso. Um dos melhores desses caras. Isso me lembra um dos luminares da música brasileira, Cesar Camargo Mariano.
Orion has a ominous, haunting and yet beautiful vibe to it. the whole record is one of a kind and worth checking out.
It would be nice to hear this album at Spotify!
I wish I knew about this years ago.........but glad I found it......sounds great!
Masterpiece
Bert Ruiter, criminaly underated musician!!!
great piece that i didn`t know
attack ships on fire off the shoulders of orion.
Sooo emotional, a favorite piece . Listen as Bert plays with Eef on the 2nd bridge here . Soo beautiful, starting at 2:15 and the seque right into the motif gets me right there !
What a killer piece!
Fantastic !!
Boeiend nummer.
good
Buen disco un poco al estilo de Ship Of Memories, con csnciones un poco pop, pero mas inclinado al Jazz.
Con ese gran duo de guitarristas que son Eef Albers y el Phillip Catherine.
What a wonderful song! Top-notch prog from Focus, even now that Jan Akkerman is no longer in the band. One of only three instrumental songs on this album unfortunately. Why? Focus' albums were mostly if not all instrumental over the years until this one. The fantastic guitar duo of Eef Albers and Philip Catherine is very much obscured by too much emphasis on vocal arrangements on this album. P.J. Proby's vocals should have at least been far more limited in order to work well with this band's music.
Joe Giersher I think the album is pretty beautiful the way it is through and through.
Eef Albers is definitely in the 'talent deserving wider recognition' category - I have owned this album since the late 1970s and still love it. Sadly, Eef is criminally under represented in Australia...
Their debut, "In And Out Of Focus", had five vocal tracks out of a total of eight, certainly on the UK version - Focus (Vocal version), Black Beauty, Sugar Island, Happy Nightmare and Why Dream.
I tend to agree. PJ Proby's vocals didn't do much for me personally on this release..a rather limp affair, overall, in light of previous offerings. This track is one of the bright spots. Just my opinion.
I think van leer wanted to do a more vocal album because of Jan Akkerman teaming up with Kaz Lux when they released Eli the year before.
check out the 1984 version by Vital Information. Also with Eef.
Melhor álbum do Focus.
Great song, but....
