take the bail off and tighten the nut holding on the rotor. Sometimes there is a screw keeping the nut from turning, just remove that and reinstall after getting the tightness correct. Some reels use reverse threads so you may need to turn counterclockwise. Do not crank it down or it will not spin, just tight enough so the rotor only wobbles a tiny bit. Also add some oil to the drag washers, main shaft and where the handle goes through the body, it will help it quite a bit.

Its been awful hard for me to try another telescoping rod since i had one absolutely shatter while fishing 20 years ago. I bet they have got better over the years. Its something i would love to have in my truck sometimes, just seems so convenient.

I keep a micro rod in my truck lol Telescoping rods are made much better now for sure but using a micro rod or ice rod is perfect. Fishing the ponds here in the bay area, it can handle anything and takes up hardly any space.

Looking for a couple of telescopic rods for the back pack so im not ripping the tips off my other poles. This looks like the perfect fit for those hike to the lake type situations. Great video, thanks!!

@@liveyourtruth88 I own all of them the the best one is the $50 spinning combo; however, the $30 spinning combo is my favorite. It’s quality for the price is just amazing. The rod is crazy light and the reel is smooth and strong.

@@Tightt88 you’ve convinced me! Lol the $30 one sounds more like what I’m looking for right now. I need more light actions for sure.

I picked one if these up the other day and my bail was just fine and my rooster tail was also working. Seems like youve got a defective or used product. Its a 6'6" medium action rod. But id call it a light/medium. Ive always been an ugly stick user but switched go telescopic a few years ago. I own 5 of them now including this one. For $20 its the best casting rod ive owned as far as telescopic rods are concerned.
