SUMMARY: 1) lotion 2) 20 dollars [for hair products, bring small sizes] 3) chapstick 4) makeup [have your hair braided before bootcamp if you have an afro, it's a life saver] 5) hair products 6) watch/waterproof with alarm [no apple watch] 7) insoles [those boots will make your feet ugly] 8) address book/calendar book 9) phone cards 10) hygiene products [toothpaste, toothbrush] 11) extra underwear 12) black mask [THEY GIVE YOU EVERYTHING, BUT YOU CAN BRING EXTRA OR THINGS THAT IS A BARE NECESSITY, DON'T BRING TOO MUCH] (tysm for this video, I'm preparing for the military once I graduate from high school :D)

I brought identification, my plane ticket, my wallet, a little cash, and the clothes on my back. That's it. The Navy put all that in a box once I arrived, and provided everything from that point forward.
That is all you need. Well I went in when there wasn't any social media. Was scratching my head on what to bring videos all over RUclips. Your recruiter tells you what to bring, unless they don't like you and you bring a suitcase of clothes.
my ship out date got moved up to less than a month from now and i've definitely been panicking trying to learn everything that i should know before then... i've watched all of your videos, they're the most helpful ones i've seen!!

If your traveling on the plane there’s certain stuff that your limited to take such as lotion, oil, etc. So will they have any form of hair oil?
Nope… they have that liquid stuff but it did nothing for me lol… bring your own just put it in a small container

When you bring your own clothing, do you put that in your sea bag? Or the in the box that they give back when you graduate from boot camp? I asked my recruiter if I could bring my IPad for A school but I wasn’t sure if I should do that when I ship out and but it in the box or just have my family send it through a package when in school 🥲(same with my Apple Watch and etc)
In the very beginning you’ll put everything in a box that they put in storage and you won’t get it back till the end so just bring it and pack it in the box

Yes you can…but I’d suggest getting them a little smaller so they can last longer

Yes they give you shower gel, shower shoes, wash cloths, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrush, towels, lotion, underwear, bra etc...they literally give you everything you need✨

Can you clarify about the process of graduating boot camp and going to A school? Do you need someone to ship a box to you once in A school, or can they bring it at graduation? And do they actually ship the box (from the first day) back home or keep it until you graduate bootcamp?

You can't collect anything from your family at graduation, not even your phone. They do ship your items directly to your family as soon as you get to boot camp.
@@babygrinch so you go straight to A school with just your uniforms from bootcamp?
@@morganholland3511 After boot camp you might have to wait a while to get to A school depending on if they have space available - some people wait a couple days, some people have to wait a couple weeks. But while you're waiting for A school, you can have your personal belongings. Just not directly after graduation while you're still technically in boot camp

@@morganholland3511 Unfortunately as far as I'm aware, you can't travel while you're on hold. But chances are you will go to A school sooner rather than later.

Can you wear your hair in twists in boot camp. My hair isn't long enough to put in a bun.

Chill. You can buy different lotions at the nex at different sizes just buy multiple of them if you need but remember you gotta fit all the extra stuff in a small a&b so Becareful about what you bring

How often are you allowed to call people?
During bootcamp I got like 3 phone calls…but it all depends on your RDC because they can reward the division with a phone call (which rarely ever happens) orrrr they can take away your scheduled phone call 💯 so if u have a phone call scheduled make sure the division is on its best behavior lol 😂
