I've lost motivation and achieved what there is to achieve in my life. I hit a point where I wanted to join the Navy but I'm still hesitant because my parents depend on me financially and I won't be able to see them as often. Any advice would be appreciated by anyone here 🙏🏽
honestly the navy is what you make it but just be conscious of the pros and cons that the navy has, especially being as the fact that you are a little bit older. one pro is that the benefits will be really good for your dependents, ex if you're married or if you got a kid. however one con to keep in mind is that the job comes first so you can't just get bored and quit when you want, or leave whenever. Especially if you're a family person, you're going to be sacrificing a lot. you'd really have to do your pros and cons and research to figure out if this is something you really want to do. if you need more help don't be scared to ask.

just from personal input, remember, not everyone can use tampons so its not being disrespectful, its the fact some females literally cannot use them. :) I know a lot of females in fact like that. its not gross and disrespectful, its human nature and science. just put that thought in for the future. other than that, great knowledge you did share.

Did they not test you again after the physical like before going to basic? I just found out I’m pregnant but I just passed the physical and took the asvab 2 months ago 😭 I still wanna enlist but I kinda wanna keep the baby
@angiejimenez6857 the test cant tell before a certain time because there needs to be enough of the hormone for the test to read. So lets say you have your period right before boot and have sex then go in the test will not pick up that you are pregnant cause there wont be enough of the pregnancy hormone. Its why you have to wait a week after your missed period in order to test.
This is very helpful I leave for memps on Monday then from there I leave for bootcamp Tuesday I was very worried about this 😅 I knew we were going to shower with that and I’m honestly not worried about that it was the whole period situation that had me worried
So I gotta lose 20 pounds which will be a piece of cake (I've been stress-eating 😅) and every week, I'll be checking in with my recruiter to check my weight. What advice can you give for the PFA run? Just run it huh? Lol. People have told me to walk the curves, jog the straights.
don't even think about walking. run that shit like your life depends on it and you'll pass. the more you walk, the more time you waste and the longer you'll be on that track. my only advice is, don't wait until bootcamp to start running.. start running now so that your body can be some what adjusted to it. 15-20 mins of jogging outside every day and you'll be fine for bootcamp. And stop stress eating...release that stress by working out, try yoga and do more productive stuff that you enjoy. good luck!!
Am I allowed to bring my own brand of tampons with me on the airplane to boot camp or do I have to use the ones they give us. I also use feminine wipes to make sure I’m all clean. Would I be allowed to bring those orrrr probably not?

I'm going to get a little personal. I am transgender. Female to male. And trying to join the Navy. I was informed I would have to go in as a female, which as long as I can serve fine. This video helped ease some of the stress I was having regarding periods and bootcamp.

I use pads too, you should use the restroom first and clean your 🐱 up real good, with wet paper and dry also, It doesn’t leak that quick especially if you only get 5 mins to shower lol I be taking 15 mins showers and don’t leak do 5 mins is ever better

I don’t wear tampons either. What I do is cleaning my 🐱 in the restroom with a wet toilet paper and dry till it’s all clean and don’t see blood on the toilet paper anymore. Then I hop on the shower and I take like a 15 min shower and I never get blood leaking. So just clean yourself up real good before you use the shower! (:

Do it!!! I joined the Navy at 27 with 2 kids!!! I retired after 20 years in 2007 & would do it all over again in a minute!!!
