11:27 As a refresh, Hyakuzawa (2m guy) has only been playing vball for 6+ months. It was never mentioned if he has experience in other sports. He's even less experienced than Hinata in vball. He's there because Washijo-sensei likes tall players. From Hyakuzawa's performance during the match against Karasuno, he does have potential to be a great vball player. Despite having not much experience in vball, then suddenly losing to a player 15" shorter than him, he didn't get discouraged and played even harder. Even Ukai said he's gonna watch out for Hyakuzawa next tournament, 'cause he might spell out big trouble.
The fact that Hyakuzawa was invited yet Hinata wasn't is a conversation piece in the fandom, and fuels antagonistic feelings towards Washijo-sensei. On surface value, it feels like Washijo hasn't "learned his lesson" and is still heavily favoring tall players, while also being overly harsh on Hinata. Initially, I also felt a feeling of "injustice", but that also happens in real life. Certain bosses/teachers/coaches have their own style and criteria for excellence. Even the national team under 19 recruitment didn't invite Noya. And the national team coaches will later on see a "certain player" in nationals and admit that they missed out on a "diamond in a rough".
If Hyakuzawa can be nurtured, his height is gonna be an absolute power. It's luck, it's unfair that he has a natural advantage and Hinata doesn't, but that's reality. Others who have read and finished the manga know that other players we know understand that luck, natural advantaged physique, and talent are real factors. Those are privileges. But that means anyone who is at the top level without having to rely on those are absolute monsters and deserve the highest respect. It's up to Hinata to prove that he can play without relying on a genius setter that only caters to him. Because if he wants go pro, Kageyam won't forever be his setter, and he has to convince everyone that they should pick him, a 5'4" shorty, over a 6'7" beast.

2:07 he kinda is but more so because he wants to be prepare for everything, he "fears" injuries as well, tht's why he isn't playing as impressive acording to Kageyama
2:16 yes, he is the one Kuroo said is not only top three (the only second year in the top 5 ranks) but also is part of the team that won the previous tournament and are favourites to win again (the guy with him is his teammate and cusin, the best libero in Japan - high school of course)
2:57 they did, when it happened, he was smiling
8:02 yes exactly, since he is around his hight but a better player and jumper, he is a good reference to then teach Hinata from someone with his same limitations
8:15 beleive me, he is telling the truth, like it or not, it's very important
13:10 Here in the manga Hinata says "I want to beat you at your best", it's one of those small differences that are through out the story, but I feel it has a much bigger impact, and shows more of Hinata's character
14:31 don't know if you cought on what Hinata was saying about taking it easy, but since everything in this arc is important for later I'll explain just in case. Hinata noticed that no matter who Kunimi played with in the 2vs2 his team always was stronger and that's because he would pass it high and the whole team had more time to adjust, kinda like when there is a chance ball, it's easier, so Hinata said to take it easy, pass it high, so the setter has more time to pass a better set, something that, with his lack of skills, he needs
16:01 you know who else knows this? washijo, shiratorizawa's coach, who was a ball boy because in his time there was no chance for short players, so all he knows came from watching just like Hinata
18:12 the fandom has decided that although Hinata sucks at school he has high emotional intelligence, if you pay attention he is able to socialise with anyone no matter their personality, the shiratorizawa's ball boys call him Shoyo since his second day, which in Japan is rare
18:25 I sirously didn't notice the first time of watching because I was so inmerse in the story
18:42 if you think about it he acts a lot like Hinata except a little more arrogant because he is already good (although Hinata was declaring he'll be the ace since day one) He is used to people underestimating him for his hight and then get shocked when he shows how good he is (he is national level good)

"I wanna beat you" 🥹 oh hinata. it hypes me up when someone (especially someone who's your opponent) helps you and their reason is they want to compete with you at your best self. Reminds me of the S2 training arc when Kuroo and Bokuto helped Hinata & Tsuki ❤‍🔥

Whats really cool to see, in a way, at the national youth training camp at least with the highlighted characters, they're all extremely talented players who also have very strong personalities (which can be said aren't necessarily agreeable when it comes to team chemistry), which i think another reactor who *i think* either coaches or is an athlete has mentioned that a lot of star athletes oftentimes just have really intense personalities that can come off as egotistical or in your face, which in a way makes kageyama part of that group of people since he's also at that level (its further shown later into the season)
and honestly hinata has potential to be a great volleyball coach haha (again, this season really reminds us why he's the main character of haikyu)

I dont really think the animation is wonky. Its more how they drew Korai with exaggerated angles to his chin while looking up the ball.
The animation was pretty fluid. Its more the how it was drawn in that moment.
