Slicks are the best looking tires in the game. Change my mind 🤷🏽♂️😂
The fact that Nintendo took their time to buff the worst tires and vehicles in the game to make them slightly better, but still bad.
You'd think there be a tire that will dethrone the rollers. The closest I can think of is the Leaf Tires getting a mini-turbo buff and that's it.
What they really need to do is buff the overall speed stat, with the parts that have the lowest speed it will barely effect them but the ones with the highest speed stat will be effected the most. Like how you see in a line graph 📈. But make it more even towards mini turbo not better. Mini turbo is like 20% - 75%. Make speed the same and not 20% - 50%
@@QwertyS3 Absolutely agree with this. The Speed stat deserves to be just better. They could even adjust (lower) the speed Coins provide and then buff the Speed stat to make up for that difference.
You cant even feel the speed stat. You can feel every tick of additional acceleration, MT, or handling.
@@RiqMoran Yeah I feel like Nintendo really went out of their way to make it so that Speed wouldn't be dominating. Stat-wise you do give up a lot just for an extra 0.25 in Speed. They even make it so that slower parts are often FASTER in certain environments. But that just doesn't make much sense. I also think the reason you don't "feel" the Speed much is because everybody's Coins are constantly fluctuating throughout a race. So you could be getting outran by a baby character all of a sudden because you have no coins and they have 10 coins (that you can't see). This makes the Speed stat feel more underwhelming.
Its a shame since slick is one of my favs in terms of look

The two deku babas ruined JPG race in hyrule circuit. One bite him and the other one destroy his red shell and the player in first wins. I was laughing a lot when the deku baba bite JPG it was so funny😂

14:38 The Blue Shell is not the issue. It's the follow up after that's the real race killer. What you experienced after was quite mild compared to how it usually is.
The follow up is only a race killer if you don't get a lead, which is easy if you get into first place with 10 coins
Metal tires are worse and faster due to wave 5 btw
The metal tires are worst cuz they also give the highest speed but with less acceleration and less handling than the slicks if I can recall
the slick tires have much worse traction & slightly worse weight than the metal tires

At least the slick tires had their best moment in Mario Kart 7. The Metal Mario + B Dasher + Slick tires combo was everywhere.

You should try Bowser/Dry Bowser with the Streetle, Rollers, and the Paper Glider sometime. P.S. I used the slick tires for some time lol.

@@ghostbaconhair I’m just saying I’ve been using that combo on mk8 dlx this entire time and I’ve gotten to 16k while everyone says the tires are garbage and rollers are better(they are lol). I’ve been using the combo since 2016 on base mk8 tho so I’m just super comfortable with it that the speed and skill alone can carry you.
