    Wayne, I put your video up at the private reception at my sister's house. On behalf of my family, thank you. The navy had a flag ceremony at the church that we had the memorial and it was emotional. We all agreed to give the flag to my niece who is at Pensacola Naval Air Station who is attempting to earn her wings. (she got her flight suite three weeks ago) We plan on spreading his ashes at sea off the coast of Florida on the 28th of June, his birthday. Again, I can't thank you enough.

      You don't have to thank me mate. Its the least i could do. Must have been a very proud and heart retching time for you all. The flag going to your niece is just awesome. Could not think of a more fitting situation. I spread my moms ashes at her favorite fishing spot in the barcoo river outside of or little town of Blackall where we all came from. And i also carried some with me to Graceland and spread her around there as she just adored Elvis and never got to live to get to Graceland with us. Its so fitting that she will be forever part of those places and it will be the same for your dad. Every time you look at the ocean just know your dad is part of it forever. You and you loved one take care mate.

      That's a sad but also warming story. My grandfather was USN during WWII and also my very best friend. I joined the USCG in 1996 after high school. In 2005 while I was in Iraq he passed away, and I was unable to attend his service as I was on a "combat" tour. In 2006 I came home and visited my grandmother on leave enroute my next station, Cape Disappointment to enter training to eventually become a Surfman.
      I kept a small plastic bag with part of his ashes in my helmet bag for the next ten years. He went with me on every bar report, every training mission, every helo ops, and every single SAR case until May of 2016. My last trip on a USCG small boat was an evening bar report and I put his ashes in the water near the north jetty on an outgoing current while on my twilight tour at Station Grays Harbor, what they call "sending him across the bar". I retired in July 2016. that was close to six years ago, and he passed away more than 15, and I'm tearing up typing this. I have asked my fiancé to send my ashes across the same bar so he and I can meet again.
      Close family is the most important thing in my life, I can appreciate what you did for your niece. ScaleModelM, I can also appreciate what you did for you Mother. Thank you both for sharing your stories. I came on to say what I fine job SMM did on this A-3, but I'm happy I saw this set of comments. God Bless you all.

      @chainlighting5638....Hi....I am just now seeing this video, and I thought I had seen every video about the A-3's and particularly any ERA-3B. My name is Stephen Jeffery and we must have known each other because I was in VAQ-33 71-75 and a Plane Captain for our ERA-3B's. Who are you?

So going through that having the roof ripped from above your ment to be protecting you from the elements outdoors just blows me away! Pardon the pun there!

    I would love to see some details on the main landing gear. These were BY FAR the most complicated and fragile landing gear I have ever had to do. The instructions give you almost no details on key mounting points and positioning.

    Sadly, the model is wildly incorrect. It is an exterior slight remake of an EA-3B.
    Despite the image on the box cover the wings to do not have the pylons for the jammer pods nor does the kit include the wing jammer pods. The kit cover art also SHOWS the four fuselage-mounted RATs (Ram Air Turbine generators), but they are not included in the kit. Serious omissions.
    The interior fuselage is NOTHING like an actual ERA-3B. The ERA-3B carried a single Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO) with a “jump seat” which only occasionally accommodated a trainee or a Navy pilot who wanted to find out that turning and burning while facing sideways COULD make them vomit. The EA-3B electronic reconnaissance variant of the A-3 carried the multiple crew members.
    This comes across as a lazy, careless addition to their A-3 model line.
    How do I know this? I flew THIS aircraft among four ERA-3Bs in VAQ-33 from November, 1979, until October, 1982, as an EWO. I was Electronic Warfare Aircraft Model Manager, Aircraft Commander, Mission Commander and the only Lieutenant Event Commander in Naval history at that time. I have hundreds of hours in the ERA-3B from Hawaii, Canada, California, Puerto Rico, Guantanamo, Iceland, Norway, England and France.
    Again, sadly, without creating the extra parts (RATs and wing mounts and pods) and simply ignoring the interior fuselage this kit is inaccurate, unauthentic junk.

    Way too much talking and not enough actual building of the kit. The only procedure shown was masking off the canopy and some weathering. How can you call this a full build video when you don't have any video of the build?

    • @markkrumrey6238
      @markkrumrey6238 28 дней назад

      Now you have an opportunity to do a nice complete build log. I would like to see you how paint the red outline on the engines. So now, you can take your negative comments to work and show us all how to do it.

    • @antoeknee4511
      @antoeknee4511 28 дней назад

      @@markkrumrey6238 Nothing negative that would rattle the cage, but the truth. It wasn't until 29:35 in the video that anything was done, and that was not building but once again showing what was built. I am not a content creator, but a scale modeler for 40 plus years. Look at the video again with open eyes, perhaps you will see what this video is lacking. We are all entitled to our opinions and apparently you think otherwise. Many people that have channels look to the comments for suggestions as to how to improve their channels and appreciate these comments. Take care.
