    Next time you hear someone coming down the trail with a bell, set up your camera and hide behind a rock or tree. Then jump out and growl like a bear!!!!😂

    Hi Cody - the trail sign recommends using bear spray for protection. Do you carry a spray can with you? Enjoy your videos. Got your site from your Mother & Father. Richard in Sedona...

    We were volunteering at String Lake. I tried for weeks by posting on FB I would like to do PC and CC. Finally as the season neared an end I went by myself. Along the way I'd meet hikers and would go with them till they stopped and I continued on account I was on a mission. At 68 yrs old it was an awesome experience. Did had one issue when I reached the top. I sat down to rest a minute then rose to quick and got dizzy. Didn't last but a few seconds and then it was down we go back to String lake. 20 miles in 9 hrs and I tried to go as fast as I could account I wanted to return before dark. I surely would love to do it again.

    I did this loop, with a scramble up to the cool turquoise lake, back in 2016 but well before I was recording videos! I loved it

    The bell isn't to scare bears its to let them know that you're coming. Surprising a bear is definitely a bad idea. Whether it works or not idk, ill stick to my 44 mag and bear spray.

      I know the idea behind bells but it doesn't work. Bears didn't evolve with bells in the forest...

    What's your secret to not getting sunburned?

    • @codiacstudios
      @codiacstudios  Год назад +1

      I don't really have a secret. I never wear sunscreen, and I spend a lot of time hiking under the Arizona sun. I think I'm just used to it. I get red but it turns into a tan quickly.

      @@codiacstudios dang that is awesome. I am jealous. I hate sunscreen so I cover up. Otherwise I turn bright red.
