I adore your channel ... Im currently taking classes in standard cosmetic formulation .... and when i need a break for the serious lectures i come to your channel ...... Thank you!
Thanks so much for watching! :)
This is wonderful. Just made it and had to add just a pinch of Rose Petal Powder to it and it gave it just a little kick with the Cocoa Butter and Coconut Milk. Thanks for sharing this one.
Ooooh, how lovely! Thanks so much for DIYing with me :)
Why aren't u sitting on a Million subscribers already?!! You're kind, young, most scientifically accurate I've found in this field - - and u don't even take urself half as seriously as other.. It's adorable! Plus ur humble .. Great job.. Just subscribed..
I have one question. You said u can put links for procuring these products anywhere in the world. I'm from Mumbai, India. Do u have any sources other than Amazon where one could buy these products at a good rate.. WSP, TKB, etsy, Stephenson's, Nature's Garden, mad about micas, bramble berry, lotion crafters don't ship to India. Or the shipping costs more than the product itself. I'd appreciate if you could help. In any case thanks.!!
Because it is a new world and people are steering away from using animal or insect byproducts. I think she's adorable too and think she is talented.
@@lilybaytoday yes exactly, in fact I'm moving towards a zero waste, au naturale, eco friendly lifestyle myself.! Love it!
Well, shucks 😊 Thank you! I sure hope I hit a million subscribers soon, that would be amazeballs!
I'm afraid I really don't have a lot of advice for ingredient shopping in India-I'm in Canada, and it's hard to find online shops in other countries, especially where there is the potential for a language barrier. A reader from India did send me this, though: "Just wanted to inform you so that you could help anyone in the future. I found all the ingredients except Cocoa butter in Munnalal Dawasaz in Hyderabad. They dont have a web link but they do sell on amazon.in. " I hope that helps!
@@HumblebeeAndMe Girl!!!!! That's a lead.. Thank you..! Keep up the good work.. Really! Much love!
@r h s India supplies link looks good. ..also, do you know about myus.com? If you ever order from multiple stores in US it serves as a US address, collects and stores your packages, then sends them on to you as a single delivery...much much cheaper than US Postal services. ☺
Thankyou I’ve been trying to started my bath business this help

Thank you for sharing. Great video as always.
Ya know, I love that you make a nice small recipe for testing before a max batch~ very nice~!
If I made big batches of everything I make I think I'd drown in DIYs 😂
making this today very much looking forward to it :) all your recipes are spot on love it!
Thanks, Jennifer! Happy making :D
you and your recipes are just Awesome. thank you.
Thank you! 😊
Thanks for the recipe!! Love your blog and channel 😊 As a chemist, I have to tell you isothionate is pronounced with an "eye" sound. Iso-thy-an-ate...does that make sense? Anyway, wonderful idea!!
Fantastic! Thank you so much, haha. I knew I stuffed that one up!
Soooooo...the coconut powder I found was a blend? It is organic coconut powder, pumpkin powder and pea powder? Can I use that?
Is is save for babies?
can i add 2g of poly80 to it so the bath wont be too slippery? or should i add more of poly80?
There's no need to as there is already a surfactant in this formulation :)
@@HumblebeeAndMeif we remove the SCI, should we add the Poly80?
Love your approach to researching and comparing all of these bath and body goods! For this video I have a question. By milk I thought you meant the finished product (not the bath itself) would be a rich liquid, not a powder. Do you have any recipies of this kind? Thank you for sharing!
In order to work with milk safely we need to keep it dry until the moment of use; think about how long milk lasts on your counter!
hi I have scs can i use that instead of the sci?
Oooo coconut milk powder!!!
So decadent!
Humblebee & Me Im loving your brilliant recipes..i use them for my personal and my mommy..though i have adopted a few ideas and transformed it into a unique product with my added spin on it..and my friends are bartering with me for some..i love a good trade!!! Thank You..keep it up cute Bee!
Thanks Marie!
You're so welcome-happy making!
Are there any preservatives required for a shelf life? Or should this be used immediately?
www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/need-add-preservative-recipe-long-will-last/ :)
Ready to make this next week.. How much do you add to bath water? Thanks.
As much as you want! I'd probably be looking at somewhere between 0.5-1 cup :)
would corn silk powder work to replace the silk for vegans?
From everything I can find online, corn silk powder is basically just corn starch, meaning it's pure starch (carbohydrate). Silk is pure protein, meaning these things are as different as a slice of bread and a steak. You CAN use one for another, just like you CAN eat salad instead of sushi for dinner, but they definitely are not the same thing!
Oh, ok. Was told by others they work the same way but was still unsure. Thanks
If you have a link to a specific product I can take another look-I may have found the wrong ingredient. Most of what I turned up was a cosmetics brand called Corn Silk, but I found an Etsy seller that sold herbs, including corn silk.
no, I'm sorry, I do not have any specific links as these were just personal conversations but I guess I'll just google more information whenever I decide to try concocting vegan things as gifts lol
I have coconut flour & Flakes. Can you use theses
Hello, thanks so much for sharing all these wonderful recipes! Can you tell me, I’ve made this and its not foaming very much, if at all....Could i add more SCI? Thanks
You can, but you can also try SLSa instead-it gives better bubbles for projects like this :)
Hi mam, how is cornflour good for dry skin? Pls reply
It makes the bathwater and your skin feel extra silky :)
Thnx for ur reply mam😁
Can I use sodium lauryl sulphate powder instead of slsa
You could, but keep in mind that the pH and active surfactant matter are much higher. You can learn more here: www.humblebeeandme.com/surfactants/ :)
Did you need a preservative? Thanks
No water, no preservative :)
Would ground oats go well in this
I wouldn't add straight-up ground oats as the insoluble components will make a huge mess in your tub. Colloidal oatmeal would be great, though!
marie, can this cleanser be used on the face?
No-it's not a cleanser for anything, let alone your face :P You're just supposed to add it to bath water, like bath salts.
Humblebee & Me omg. ok! lol
Hi Marie may I know why this cannot be used for face? Is it because of the cocoa butter?
Hello! Thanks for sharing this awesome recipe. Where can I find that jar you used and what size is it if you don’t mind me asking. I looked and didn’t see it listed. Thanks in advance!
I picked it up from a thrift store-I think it's ~125mL.
Thanks for this tutorial. ;) What can I substitute SCI or SCL with? Any foaming stuff really irritates my skin. I don't even use soap, too. Thanks.
You can just leave it out.
Got mine from walmart coconut milk
I'm very curious, does this have to be made with a butter or could one substitute with a liquid oil? I really want to try making this it looks and sounds amazing
The reason this works with a solid, brittle butter is because you can powder a brittle butter and that powder mixes in with the dry ingredients; even shea butter wouldn't work. It has to be a brittle butter like cocoa. Liquid oils definitely won't work, you'll just make a pastey brick!
I have liquid silk aminos. How could I make this with the liquid type?
I have an FAQ on this in the FAQ (www.humblebeeandme.com/faq/) :)
I found coconut milk powder link from the website. Do you have an amazon link to the silk powder. Have you considered finding a vendor you like who will sell to you wholesale these kinds of products, but instead of you maintaining inventory, they will drop ship directly to your subscribers/customers? They might allow you to private label with your brand even. Just a thought that popped in my head. probably something you've already started
This silk looks like a good choice: amzn.to/2BoyYNv :)
I have considered it, but it's a pretty overwhelming thing and I do worry about minimum order sizes being MUCH larger than the order volume I'd get. There's also a good possibility the only place I could afford to do drop shipping from would be China, and then customers would be looking at 6 week delivery times, which also isn't ideal. I might be wrong, but those are the current thoughts keeping me from looking into it any more :)
Ugh! Everything is so laborious! (she said dramatically) I'm old enough to remember when 8-10 weeks for shipping was standard and that was in-country. Now, if I can't get it in 2 days for no fee, I act like I'be being ripped off!
Hi! Would you say that 5 grams fragrance oil (about 1 tsp) would be okay as amt to add, if wanted?
That sounds like a LOT to me as fragrance oils tend to be very strong. I would probably start with 1g as that'll still be more than 1%.
Hi, love your tutorials! At the end you mention adding Epson salt, can this be added to the recipe, or does it have to remain separate?
Where would I purchase coconut milk powder? Thanks for sharing.
Amazon has it :) amzn.to/2gDn7Rg Remember, you can always click through to the recipe on the blog and everything is linked there!
Yes,I actually did use your link and I received mine yesterday! 😊
I bought silk peptide and it smells horrible. Do all of them smell bad? Maybe I used a bad supplier?
They do have a smell, but I'd describe it as sort of sweet-not offensive-and I never notice it in products when they are complete. I would get in touch with your supplier and ask them!
I'm so glad I asked you. I will do that. I will also order from another supplier. I just want to say thank you for all you do. I have always had the best success when I make your recipes and that means a lot to someone like me. Today, I'm making your cooling foot spray! I'm very hopeful. Sometimes the measurements are a bit hard for me, I wish they were straight forward such as cups, TBS or mls but I end up converting right in the end. I hope....:)
If you want good results I cannot recommend getting a scale enough! There is pretty much no chance you are doing those conversions correctly as every ingredient has a different density. You can purchase a good scale on Amazon for $15 or less and you'll be able to to do less dishes and have much better, repeatable DIY results! Thanks for DIYing with me :) www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/what-should-i-consider-when-purchasing-a-scale/
Nice how can I make this in a 8 oz. Bottle? Thanks
This makes approximately 1/4 cup, so I'd estimate you'd want to multiply the recipe by 4. Please make it at least once as written, though, so you know you like it before making a bigger batch :)
fantastic, is this safe for babies?
I can't imagine why it wouldn't be, though I would recommend choosing SCI rather than SLSa as it is more gentle. This will sting if it gets in the eyes, though.
plz mam can you tell me what's ur ingredients. because I can't understand. .I follow ur channel and I like to request from you plz can you written ur ingredients on ur Vedio. very use full for us..i am from srilanka...thanks
Everything is always listed in full in the description box below the video, with a link to the full post on my blog, where you'll find links to the ingredients and more information :) Every video! Happy making :)

Why are you mixing your measurements? I think it would have been great if you just stuck to grams.
I do now-you'll notice this video is quite old :)
