- MILK BUBBLE BATH GREAT FOR SKIN!!! Learn how to make an amazing milk bubble bath that’s also a wonderful & beneficial bath soak, too! Today’s project has some wonderful ingredients that are great for skin! This is a relaxing bubble bath that will leave you feeling like a pampered princess!
RECIPE: 1 cup baking soda, 1 cup sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate, 1/2 cup milk powder (any type), 1/3 cup colloidal oatmeal, 1/3 cup clay (I used Kaolin), 1/8 cup titanium dioxide (this make the water opaque & white like milk), 30 milliliters fragrance oil, 30 milliliters liquid bubble bath. * You should probably also add 10 milliliters polysorbate 80.
The baking soda is the base of the bubble bath. The Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (SLSa) is what gives this bubble bath its bubbles! NOTE: SLSa is the bubble maker, so as long as you add it (or a different bubble-making power house, like sodium lauryl sulfate or sodium cocoyl isethionate), you don't need liquid bubble bath! Kaolin clay cleanses, purifies & detoxifies skin. It also improves skin elasticity which delays aging & soothes skin. NOTE: You may add (or subtract) any of the beneficial ingredients to enhance or reduce certain aspects of the bath soak! This will not interfere with the bubble bath. For FO, I used a mixture of oatmeal, milk, & honey; vanilla lace; & warm vanilla sugar… MAKING BUBBLE BATH: Pour some, stir it, & repeat. Mix batch well with hands. Dry overnight. Sieve dry bubble bath so it's smooth & chunk-free. GRATED BUTTER: Grate 30 grams kokum butter & then add a little at a time, stirring after each addition. Other butters (except maybe cocoa butter) will be too soft for grating. PACKAGING: Fill the jar half way & shove the scoop in the mix so it stands up & is easy to get out when opening. Fill the jar the rest of the way, then pack it! RESULTS: place a few scoops of bubble bath under running water. This bubble bath created high-quality, long-lasting, buildable bubbles. I enjoyed the bath soak; it was very relaxing. And, knowing the bath was great for my skin was a bonus.

Dora, those bubbles are amazing! I have to get some kokum butter, so I can try this. Which milk did you use?
Thanks! KOKUM butter is awesome! I used coconut milk!
I have a funny story with Kokum butter i was a beginner soap maker and so i used Kokum in the recipe but used too high of a % so by the time i went to cut it i couldn't!😂🤣..i love how i feel after taking bath soaks just amazing!💞💝
Lol! Yeah it’s good stuff!
Sounds like a lovely beauty bath
Milk bubble bath. Yes it's definitely a skin therapy, especially soaking in some warm water with candles and some soothing music, yes i love this one for sure.
It’s a good one!
I love ALL of your content Dora. Your amazingly creative 💋

And a super thanks right back at you love! I appreciate your support!
I really enjoy watching your channel ☺ I like your formulations and I especially love all the Sparkle! Definitely ordering the Kokum butter as I have used it before.
Yay! Thank you!
Love it! Ordering the colloidal oatmeal and kokum butter now since I have everything else.
Sounds great! You'll love it!
Great recipe! I made it yeaterday and it turned out gorgeous! I made mine the lightest baby pink as I chose strawberry as my fragrance! I simply loved how it made my skin feel and my granddaughter was over the moon with the bubbles and light pink color, it's so light pink you barely notice, just gives a glimmer of it in the tub!
Warning!!! Do not turn on the jets in the tub! Bubbles will get as high as the ceiling. No joke. It takes forever to get them to drain away. My Granddaughter didn't realize. She's only 12, lol! I thought it was hilarious, but some people might not find this amusing!

Thanks so much Jill! What a wonderful story & I'm so glad that you enjoyed this project!

j'adore vos videos depuis la Côte d'Ivoire
Merci beaucoup! Heureux de vous avoir. Bonnes vacances en Côte d'Ivoire !
Hi Dora, Love you videos…you are so adorable and live the way you share you projects and recipes. You do a great job explaining what the ingredients do. In reference to this project, if I wanted to add the honey powder, what amount would I add to the recipe. Thank you so much 🥂🥰
Thank you so much! I would've added 1/8 C, up to 1/4 C of honey powder... If I'd remembered to actually add it! If only I wasn't so ditzy!
Hey my beautiful Dora I'm back lol girl I work at a hospital n I been so busy n when I get home got my orders to do so I'm just back on track watching all the videos I missed n as usual ur right on point .. you always make my day seriously !!! @@giselleneale9237 what do u do? Don’t go too far back when binging, fair warning! 😂
This is so amazing! Can’t wait to try🤗 do you mind sharing where you got the jars. Love you videos. New subscriber here.
I would, but I don't remember! I'm sorry!
Love your tunes! What’s your playlist?
I subscribed to epidemic for copyright purposes. all music i use comes from there
Very luxurious! I love the mica that you used; it is very complementary. Can I add bath pearls? If so, would I need to add polysorbate 80? Great job, as usual, Dora! Thanks
Thanks do much! Yes in deed, add some bath pearls, no POLYSORBATE needed!
@@CreativeBathLab ok, great. Thanks
👏👏👏🥰
😘
How much does this recipe make? I’d like to make a large batch and gift some to family and friends. Your videos are great and very detailed. Love it! Thank you so much for all you do! ☺️
ThAnks so much! It made 2 small jars & 1 large one. I’m sorry I don’t weigh my items so I couldn’t tell you exactly- I always forget to do that!
U are so clean everything u do is always so need n organized .. I can eat by u anytime lol 🤣🤣🤣.. in m still binge watching I did get some work done lol..❤️❤️
Girl, that's just what I show the camera!!! lmao. The truth is, I have a small studio so I have to be neat & organized to a certain extent or else everything would just be in disarray!
@@CreativeBathLab lol ur good my craft room is small gosh I'm trying hard to get it organized because I have so much essential oils , butters etc . I converted my hallway closet for all my other stuff like my oils , waxes etc . I'm gonna get that lil cart u have . I like that do u do this full time ?
Basically, but I also have other stuff. I own rentals, mostly apartments (24 units in total). So I deal with tenants, repairs, etc. I have a property manager that helps tho so it’s not horrible. Thank God for him, if not, I don’t think I’d have time for this channel… plus, I have another channel! lol
@@CreativeBathLab I'll email you
Do you highly recommend the sodium lauryl ? What happens if you don’t add it ?
Unfortunately, in my country we don't have Kokum butter, which is the next alternative... And thank you sooo much for your amazing ideas... Love them all
Oh well that sucks. You can add any butter that you want to the mix. But, kokum butter is the only one I'm familiar with that will grate because it's hard/firm enough. And you are very welcome!
Thank you soooo much for your prompt reply.... Take care and stay safe
Beautiful I want to make this bubble bath and is it easy to make
You should its awesome & easy to make!
I just found your channel and love it! Can you please share what resources you used to learn about formulating your recipes? I am so curious about where/how to get started in terms of ingredients and their purpose/benefits. Thanks for the awesome videos!
Awe you’re too sweet! I have a few tutorials where u can learn about formulating your own recipes. I am self-taught 100%! I’ll link those for u in a few! So glad to have you, welcome aboard!
Especially things like when to use preservatives, how to choose the right type, binding agents, etc. I feel like it is a little overwhelming at first just to hear the names without knowing what exactly their purpose is. I love learning and being able to contextualize the information
Sweetheart I'm so sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. If I am responding to comments on my iPhone I can't paste URLs in here so that's why I told you I'd send links in a few & then when I finally got back to my house to the computer, I FORGOT!!!! Then, I remembered today, & searched for 30 minutes for this comment. Better late than never!!! Ok, so watch these tutorials: ruclips.net/video/Dx35OPNjuGk/видео.html ruclips.net/video/2GTCIlLTecA/видео.html Sorry again! But watch those & it'll clear up a LOT of questions you may have!
Thank you so much, Dora! You are amazing and I appreciate your time and effort to send the links ❤️ the videos are very informative!
Awesome, so glad you saw this! I was hoping it wasn’t too late! ☺️
Hola recién llegué a tu canal y me gusta mucho. Con que puedo reemplazar la avena coloidal, en Colombia es muy difícil conseguirla. Gracias por compartir tu conocimiento
Lo reemplazaría por otro polvo espeso, como arcillas o leche en polvo.
Hi Dora, is this receipe safe for kids around 2 - 4yrs old?
How much honey powder would you add and would that be pollen ground up?
Hi Dora, thank you for this awesome video. Is there a substitute for SLS? Thank you!
You’re welcome! SLS, SLSa, or SCI (or CSI) I Always get it confused!
@@CreativeBathLab Thank you for responding! I’m asking is there a substitute for SLS or SLSA? Is there something different I could use that’s more natural? Thank you!
Hi!! thank you for sharing this lovely recipe. However, i'm a little confused. Do I need to use some Poly 80 in this if i'm using the kokum butter and mica? If I use colored mica I dont want it to stain my tub. Thanks for your help!
If using colorant, then yes!
Hi, you are an inspiration! What is the total size of batch of the above recipe? I want to add an preservative (I'm thinking of Optiphen plus). How much should I add to the mixture if I use your above recipe?
😉 sorry I don’t know! & you can add preservative if you want, but it’s not necessary
How much honey power should be added please. This looks amazing 🤩
thanks, I believe it was 1/4c
Thx so much for sharing these.. now I just gotta find jars that look like lil milk bottles. Although I do have honey pot jars that I use for my candle lanterns , so I suppose I could use those jars.
Also, Could Cocoa Butter, mango butter or shea butter or maybe Hempseed Oil substitute Kokum butter? And could any colour of mica be used?
Of course substitute any oil or butter for such, any mica for such…. Any honey pot Jars would be great!
Hi Dora, I made the exact recipe but mine didn’t turn out as well as yours. I have very minimal bubbles unless I really agitate the water. All of the bubbles completely disappear within a few minutes ☹️ Am I doing something wrong? I used everything you did except for the FO.
hej, titanium dioxide and SLS are not good for our health - what can we replace them with? thank You
Can you use anything other than the SLSA for luxurious bubbles? It had a strong powdery scent when I make my mixture!
I thought you said it was from the milk? It wouldnt be the SLSa causing it to smell for sure
Hello, quick question. Is it ok to use any color mica and if so, will I need poly 80?
Yes & yes!
Do you sell your products? They look so professional!
Thanks so much. No, I usually just give them away!
@@CreativeBathLab
Oh my goodness! You are so generous! I would totally buy your products if you sold them.
@@SG-xo5ug thanks, & I’d totally sell them to you! lol but, believe it or not, right now this RUclips channel is taking up all of my time… to actually start selling, marketing, shipping, etc. I think I’d pull all my hair out!!!
Since cocoa butter is also pretty hard, could one use that instead of the kokum butter?
Sure!
How much would you sell these for ?
So for your fragrance oil can you use just the warm vanilla sugar
Absolutely! That would be perfect for this recipe!
Hi Dora, Do you recommend using a preservative if it will be UNopened for a while?
You can, it wouldn’t hurt
@@CreativeBathLab ok, thank you!!
Will the baking soda increase the ph without Citric acid? Thanks
Hhhhmmm… u know, I don’t know! lol. Sorry! But it was lovely!
Wich kind of fragance oil we can use ?
Any kind that is skin-safe!
Can substitute the sodium lauryl sulfoacetate with sodium Cocoyl isethionate powder?
Yes
@@CreativeBathLab would i use the same amount as the one your using in your recipe?
Do I need the Kaolin clay? I only have rose clay or could I skip out the clay completely?
Either way is fine
@@CreativeBathLab Thank you so much! Can't wait to try this.
Where do you get your fragrance oil
ruclips.net/video/GbDjA_-nqiM/видео.html
Hi , i’m from Viet Nam . I want to buy through Amazon, how do I do that?
Hey boo, just follow the links! If that doesn’t work I’m not sure.
Can you make it without the liquid bubble bath?
Sure
Can I use SLSA instead of sls?
Yes
What liquid bubble bath do you use?
I think it’s listed. Solomo I believe (Amazon brand)
Can Castille soap be substituted for liquid bubble bath?
Hey, I just tried to see if castille soap made any bubbles and the one I used (bronners fragrance free) absolutely did NOT create any bubbles lol. I think, from reading other comments, the bubble bath is what adds the extra bubble power. Hope this helps and someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
You are right!
Hey boo, you can add castile soap if you want, but it won't add any additional bubble power. SLSa is the bubble maker, so as long as you add it (or a different bubble-making power house), you don't need liquid bubble bath anyways! Good luck!
Now I know this would be yummy. Girl, I bet your skin is softer than a baby's butt. Thank you, Dora. I love it
Yes this was very relaxing! Love ya girl!

😊
Why not just milk powder? All these ingredients read chemical
Why does my milk bubble bath have a strong powdery scent? Other than that it’s really great!! HELP Please 🥲
Powdery scent? Im not familiar with this. WAIT- I just remembered... Yes, milk has a strong smell anyways but i guess when you get it wet or something it kind of gets musty. if thats what youre talking about. i dont know why this is or how to stop it
@@CreativeBathLab okay, Thank You so much 😊 you have really good videos!!
