Age of all languages shown in this video is mere approximate as its almost impossible to find an language's actual age, lack of historical evidence is also an reason. languages tend to evolve with respect to time making it even worse to find the exact age. Oldest living languages include Tamil, Chinese, Hebrew, lithuanian, armenian and greek
This comparison video is made based on the research we did on internet from various reliable source and the theories of some linguistic anthropologists. We didn't include the claim which lack evidence so the numbers in the video may change in future as new evidences of languages get discovered. Sorry if we failed to include some languages which deserve to be in the list.
NOTE: There is nothing called "oldest language" in this world because every language evolved from some Older root language which makes every language oldest in the world. This list just reflect the information lying in the internet and we didn't make up any of those numbers

Icelandic is 1800 years old.... so several centuries older than the colonisation of Iceland? Globally, I'm perplex about how this list was done. On which basis is the age of language is decided?
In case of the French, 1300 years seems almost correct. The language appeared during the 8th century even if the first official document in French is the "Treaty of Verdun" signed in 843.

How is russian older, than Ukrainian, when Ukrainian words are seen in the writings in countless churches, that exist from the times of Rus in Kyiv, and russian as a language appeared only in like 1660-1700s?

There was no such a thing as Ukrainian before late 1800s. It's called Ruthenian. Educate yourself

in every video of this type, there will always be a Ukrainian with inferiority complexes. The language of the Kievan Rus period is called the Old Russian language.

@@eslle7481 Ruthenians is an old name of Ukrainians, that was stopped to be used in 18-19th century (In 20th century it disappeared completely), and Ruthenian as a language can refer to either the language of Kyivan Rus (The one that people spoke, the one used in the documents is Church Slavic/Old Bulgarian), or the one that is basically the common language of Ukrainians and Belarusians, used in the Great Duchy of Lithuania, but technically the Ukrainian language already did exist, as Hetmans of Hetmanshchyna were often referred to as the Hetmans of Ukraine, and the language, spoken there can be called Ukrainian as well.
