Repairing the Motor Whaleboat's Water Pump: SLATER Work Vlog 13 May 2024

The motor whaleboat's engine has certainly kept the engineering gang busy over the past year. After a rebuild of the fuel pump, the water pump has decided to stop working! In this video, James gives us a peak into how the problem is diagnosed and repaired. Elsewhere, Thomas continues painting the radio direction platform and James gets dirty cleaning the oil filter for the V16.

I would suggest a stop at a veterinary supply store. They have these really long gloves that vets use to reach into the "back ends" of equines and bovines. That should help with the filters.

Once I get the rest of the oil out, it won’t be an issue anymore. That’s a good suggestion though! I’ll see what I can find.

Which if any maintenance projects are ongoing on Saturdays? I work weekdays and assisted with the steam table this winter, any ongoing maintenance projects on weekends?
