As an atheist, I too am tired of hearing the Horus argument. It took less than 15 minutes of research to determine several of the Jesus/Horus correlations you mention were incorrect....which brought them all into question. Appreciate this video and hope other atheists do the research themselves before regurgitating this argument.

Pointing out differences doesn't exclude the obvious similarities. Example: if I were to start a fast food restaurant called burger queen you would say "dude you're copying off of Burger King" and me going "nope mine says queen theirs says king so obviously they are different because kings are men and queens are women" the entire Horus vs Jesus debate should also show that every civilization has their own God created in the image of man.

I found this interesting, I never equated Horus to Jesus (as I have looked into Ancient Egypt and the Kemetic Faith as a deep seeded interest for a while now). There are motifs of other parts of the religion that link Christianity/Chatholosism/(all the others) to Kemet but this certainly wasn't one, and I'm glad I never actually heard of these misconceptions before this video but I try to verify my sources are accurate as unbiased as possible. I'm still learning a lot about it from the hundreds of books on the subject and a lot of it is up to personal interpretation but I do appreciate videos like this that kind of debunk things or bring evidence to the light.

December 25th was not an estimate of Jesus' birth. Other than that, you're right. Regarding the source for all this nonsense, it's Gerald Massey. When Zeitgeist first came out they had a website where they listed all their citations. They cited Gerald Massey for all the Jesus is Horus nonsense. Massey was an Egyptologist who developed his theories before the Rosetta Stone. So he was literally looking at pictures and trying to make a story out of it. The great irony of this is it was Massey's own familiarity of the story of Jesus which caused him to see these stories in the hieroglyphs.
About the 3 wise men, there is also the myth that everyone believes that Noah got 2 of each animal into the Ark, the bible actually says he was ordered to bring 7 pairs of each ”clean beast”, 4 pairs of each ”unclean beasts” and 7 pairs of each bird
Lol!!! And where did they keep all the food necessary to feed all of those animals? How did they keep the food from rotting without refrigeration? Let me know when the Egyptians used a Hebrew title for their deities (Messiah) millennia before the Hebrew language existed. And in what world did the ancient Egyptians use crucifixion? Crucifixion can never be attested to earlier than the Persians around 600-500 BC
There were multiple forms of “crucifixions” before the invention of the Roman cross. Ancient Egyptians during the New Kingdom period mainly used hanging and impalements on transgressors.
@@Rotisiv There are good reasons why hanging and impalement are never called crucifixion. You dont get nailed when you're hanged, you just got your neck broken or suffocated until you die. And you dont get nailed when you're impaled, you just got stabbed in from below all the way through your mouth. Where as in crucifixion, your hands and feet are nailed on a tree/wood until your bleed out all your blood or you die before that.

About the "resurrection after 3 days" story. The Egyptians were astronomers, they learned that the shortest days of the year (which we now know in the Julian calendar as December 23, 24 & 25) made them conclude that the sun god Ra (or some other god that I forgot) was dead during those 3 days, to be resurrected afterwards. Another possible Egyptian import is the Christian's prayer ending "Amen". The sun god Ra was traditionally prayed to by chanting his full name "Amen-Ra". Though Egyptogists do deny this, they dismiss this as mere coincidence. But Egyptian mythology's greatest contribution is the introduction of monotheism by pharaoh Akhenaten. If not for him, modern people (Judaists, Christians, Muslims) will be worshipping multiple gods instead.
Except the number 3 is something was commonly used throughout the Old Testament. 3 days was associated with a journey, darkness or a sacrifice. In Genesis, Joseph was in jail for 3 days, In Exodus for example, the Israelites plead with the Pharaoh 3 times to travel for 3 days in order to sacrifice. The Ninth Plague, Darkness, which God punished Egypt with was for 3 days. The Ark of the Covenant took 3 days to receive, and another 3 days for them travel with it to a resting spot. There's a whole bunch more verses that state the important of 3. "Amen" is Hebrew for "So be it" Have you read the Hebrew Bible? The Jews have a habit of repeatedly worshiping multiple gods long after their time in Egypt. In fact, it's something that lasts even when they are in the Promised Land. God has to repeatedly punish them for continuously breaking their Covenant. Even if the Pharaoh Akhenaten may have introduced the idea of monotheism, which I doubt. The Jews clearly weren't that reciprocal or obedient towards it.

as you go through each detail, you showed how many similarities the two figures do have- If we just take the basic fact that hundreds of religions have a son-god who is born, dies and returns to the gods, have a flood myth, coincidentally have a god that favors their particular group over others, and have holidays based on celestial activity that affects agriculture is huge.

It would have been winter in december. *Why would shepherds be out with their sheep in winter?* Why would mary and joseph be put up in a "barn" during winter? Not to mention this was in the desert (with water sources) and the desert gets very cold at night, let alone in winter.
Because it was also around the time Hanukkah and more sheep were needed for those who came to Jerusalem to celebrate and offer sacrifices. And the barn was not a separate building like we think of in modern times, it was part of the main house and at least as warm. Not saying that Jesus was born on December 25th, just saying that there IS an answer to that question. After Osiris death, The next morning, Isis returned to the river with her sister, Nepthys and her friends, to perform the necessary rituals, only to find Osiris's body gone! Isis transformed into a huge bird and flew high over Egypt. Using her sharp vision, she was able to find all the [13] pieces of the body to put Osiris back together (except for the phallus). Bandaged, neither living nor dead, Osiris had become a mummy. Transforming herself into a large bird, she flew over Osiris false phallus (made of gold) by which she became pregnant. Nine months later Isis bore him a son, Horus. After which Osiris became the God/Judge of the underworld. Horus, avenged Osiris murder. The story of Osiris, the dying and resurrected god, is also the story of the land: the Nile that settles within its banks during one season, only to overflow those banks and fertilize the land during another.
Your missing the point here. When comparing the ANCIENT evidence and writing the two do not match and there are no similarities. The name Horus is the Latin version of the Egyptian Hor which means "the Distant One", a reference to his role as a sky god. The elder Horus, brother of Osiris, Isis, Set, and Nephthys, is known as Horus the Great in English or Harwer and Haroeris in Egyptian. The son of Osiris and Isis is known as Horus the Child (Hor pa khered) who was transformed into the Greek god Harpocrates after Alexander the Great conquered Egypt in 331 BCE. 'Harpocrates' also means 'Horus the Child' but the deity differed from the Egyptian Horus. Harpocrates was the Greek god of silence and confidentiality, the keeper of secrets, whose statuary regularly depicts him as a winged child with his finger to his lips. Horus the Younger, on the other hand, was a powerful sky god associated with the sun, primarily, but also the moon. He was the protector of the royalty of Egypt, avenger of wrongs, defender of order, uniter of the two lands and, based on his battles with Set, a god of war regularly invoked by Egyptian rulers before battle and praised afterwards. In time, he became combined with the sun god Ra to form a new deity, Ra-Harahkhte, god of the sun who sailed across the sky during the day and was depicted as a falcon-headed man wearing the double crown of Upper and Lower Egypt with the sun disk on it. His symbols are the Eye of Horus (one of the most famous Egyptian symbols) and the falcon. Horus the Elder The elder Horus is one of the oldest gods of Egypt, born of the union between Geb (earth) and Nut (sky) shortly after the creation of the world. His older brother Osiris was given the responsibility of governing the earth along with Isis while Horus was given charge of the sky and, specifically, the sun. In another version of the story, Horus is the son of Hathor while, in others, she is his wife and, sometimes, she is mother, wife, and daughter of Horus. The scholar Geraldine Pinch notes that "one of the earliest divine images known from Egypt is that of a falcon in a barque" representing Horus in the sun barge traveling across the heavens (142). Horus is also depicted as a creator god and benevolent protector.
The Coffin Texts describe Horus in his own words: “No other god could do what I have done. I have brought the ways of eternity to the twilight of the morning. I am unique in my flight. My wrath will be turned against the enemy of my father Osiris and I will put him beneath my feet in my name of 'Red Cloak'."
In the Coffin Texts, Atum has a vital conversation with Osiris in which he describes the end of the universe as a time in which everything will cease to exist with the exception of the elements of the primordial waters, stating that after millions of years he and Osiris would be the only ones to survive the end of time as serpents.[16] He claims that he will destroy everything he created in the beginning of existence and bring it back to Nu, the primeval waters,[17] thus describing the belief that the gods and goddesses would one day cease to exist outside of the primeval waters.[16] In the Book of the Dead, which was still current in the Graeco-Roman period, the sun god Atum is said to have ascended from chaos-waters with the appearance of a snake, the animal renewing itself every morning.[18][19][20] Atum is the god of pre-existence and post-existence. In the binary solar cycle, the serpentine Atum is contrasted with the scarab-headed god Khepri-the young sun god, whose name is derived from the Egyptian ḫpr "to come into existence". Khepri-Atum encompassed sunrise and sunset, thus reflecting the entire cycle of morning and evening. And such a light and small flame is of great efficacy and scope, and nothing less than the clarity of nature itself. The light of human nature makes the philosophers so sure of themselves that with the principles of the first cause they reach the loftiest doctrines and the deepest abysses. But my son, lest I venture too far for your future perception, be aware that men of letters shall make grand and usually boastful claims about the way I interpreted the world, before the worldwide conflagration which is to bring so many catastrophes and such revolutions that scarcely any lands will not be covered by water (6), and this will last until all has perished save history and geography themselves. This is why, before and after these revolutions in various countries, the rains will be so diminished and such abundance of fire and fiery missiles shall fall from the heavens that nothing shall escape the holocaust. And this will occur before the last conflagration -Nostradamus

It's not clear if Isis is a virgin, but she did have Horus on her own accord without the help of Osiris. It's written here in the Britannica: "According to the most widely held myth of Horus's birth, he was the son of Isis and Osiris. Isis conceived him by magic after her brother and her husband Osiris had been murdered by the evil Seth. Isis hid herself in the marshes of the Nile River delta and gave birth to Horus."
I don't claim to know much about Egyptian lore so I can't confirm or deny much of this. But I do take issue with there being some sort of calculation that Jesus was born in December. I have heard numerous places that Christmas was placed on December 25th by the Catholic church to override or supplant pagan celebrations of the winter solstice. I don't think anyone actually believes Jesus was born in December. I'm pretty sure most estimates think it was probably spring time.

Food for thought.💭 Every time you see the name, Berkeley or Ramsey or Shelby or Lamarie we have to remember these are names from Kemet (Presently Egypt & North Sudan including Eritrea and North Ethiopia). Specifically from Hwt-Ka-Ptah (the house of the spirit of Ptah) and this is where the Ka-Pt (Coptic) people of Egypt are born. Horus was born in Jebel Berkel (Present day Karima in Sudan). He was born in a cave based on the ancient Kemetic mythology. Hence the name “Berkeley” ie referring to coming from Jebel Berkel. Berkeley is name associated directly with Horus.

Dr. Bob Becking, in Dictionary of Deities and Demons in the Bible (891) Indeed Osiris died before he could consumate marriage and take Isis's Virginity "The marriage of Isis and Osiris was a very brief one, so brief, indeed, that they were not able to consummate their union while Osiris was alive. “Come to me, fair face who passed beyond without my having seen him,” Isis says after the death of her husband, leading one to suppose that he was murdered before their wedding night." Dr. Dimitri Meeks and Dr. Christine Favard-Meeks , Daily Life of the Egyptian Gods (69) In relation to the severed phallus myth Egyptologist Jan Assman says "The Egyptian Texts which seldom mention this scene know nothing of this detail" Jan Assman Death and Salvation in Ancient Egypt (25) “…[Osiris’s] parts were collected by Isis, and his body was duly resurrected by her, although the phallus was missing. Parthenogenesis means “virgin birth”: “PARTHENOGENESIS. The myth that certain divine beings or culture-heroes have owed their birth to a mother without the co-operation of a father has been found to be widespread. For example, Isis, Cybele, Leto, Demeter, and Venus are all represented as ‘virgin’ mothers. The Chinese culture-hero Hon Chi was born of a mother who conceived by treading in the footprint of God. The principal deity of the Uapes Indians of Brazil, Jurupari, was born of a virgin who conceived after drinking a draught of native beer….” -Maurice Arthur Canney, An Encyclopaedia of Religions, 278. Repent, for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Jesus is coming back soon. I plead with you, depart from the new age. I was just like you once, I was a taoist who would pick and choose traits of every religion and philosophy as if it was one big buffet. Its all lies from the father of lies. Don't listen to him.
Don't subscribe to me seriously dont do it I’ll believe whatever I want, it’s my first amendment right. The reason why you are here is because your church is loosing sheep. Your “story” if being a “Taoist” is simply a lie to make yourself look enlightened. Stop the lies and stop pressuring people to believe in your evil god.
Read the epic of Gilgamesh, It is so thematically similar to the bible, I would be surprised if you didn't believe that some of its themes weren't lifted despite being written 1100 to 1700 years BCE. You can split hairs all you want concerning Horus being different from Jesus, but its going to be hard to convince people some attributes of his character and others weren't incorporated into the bible.
Thanks for the video! It was just a couple of months ago when some guy tried telling me the Jesus was just a copy or Horus and I was totally unaware of this widespread lie at the time. But the comparisons they try to make are so weak. For example crucifixion was invented by the Persians and then later perfected by the Romans it was never around in ancient Egypt. Nor was baptism. Baptism was actually a word referred to appeal most of the time in the ancient world as it was a technique used to dye clothes. They would dip their clothes in a bowl with colored liquid in it and then the color of the clothes would change. The rest of the points you covered perfectly
@@raggie1778 But the fact remains, that myths about sons of gods doing miracles, stars announcing the birth of a god or a king, earthquakes announcing the death of a king, prophesies about some sort of savior being born where pretty common long before anyone heard of Jesus. The commonalities between the Jesus , Osiris and Horus stories is that they are all based on the journey of the Sun in the sky and the seasons. The Gospels were not directly based on Horus, but there are many similarities between the Jesus story and the myths of Osiris and Horus together; Horus ' birth being symbolic of Osiris being resurrected to life.
@@InspiringPhilosophy Have you read the book "Christ in Egypt?" Read my comment above please. You are doing the same thing you claim to be the reason for your refuting the claim of the Jesus-Horus connection, failing to provide any evidence to support your position... that there is no evidence. Where is your evidence there is no evidence? The book Christ in Egypt provides a lot of evidence for the Jesus-Horus connection. Thx!
@Jesus Christ the reason they need to believe is to feel safe in a world unrivaled. Before atheism was partially accepted in society, before the internet, before Mass research among the public, they could do nothing but believe what they were told. It was almost impossible for people to think for themselves

Virgin just means unmarried etymologically...And Monotheism is Patriarchy, their agenda was to eliminate the woman so the dynamic of course will not be the same.
Also, the coming of the messiah was foretold in the Old Testament. How old is the Old Testament? Basically, all the religious that say Jesus copied them, are actually them copying the Old Testament.
Omg.. This is a very bad video. They are lying to you..to hide the truth..lol.. And u fell for it. These facts..not beliefs are true. . They copy the whole jesus story..lol. Hiding and burning the truths..lol
Look up Flavius Josephus he spoke of Jesus as a real man..and how do we know the Egyptian hieroglyphics is documentation ? How do we know it's not comic strips ? Or cartoons ? How TF do u translate drawings ?
Mathew, Mark, Luke, John, Josephus, Roman records mentioning Pontius Pilate and the crucifixion, thousands of people following His teachings for years after He died, etc etc... more contemporary evidence than Julius Caesar or Alexander the Great, honestly.
To provide some perspective on your compare-and-contrast here: 1. Jesus' mom (Mary) was also 'married' as was Isis, so by your own logic there would be no reason to assume Mary was a virgin either (or that Jesus was then born of a virgin), but merely engaging in 'premarital sex,' perhaps with someone other than Joseph, or with Joseph himself, before the shotgun wedding with Joseph took place to save Mary and even himself from falling into disrepute with the Jewish community (Joseph's dream story about the angels seems to elevate Joseph's human 'moral subconscious' to the cosmic for strategic reasons, as there is no evidence dreams mean anything at all). I think Joseph, more than likely, felt bad he'd gotten her pregnant outside of marriage and finally did the 'right' thing. Horus of Ancient Egyptian belief had the epithet of “Savior” and was born of the virgin Isis. Ancient Egyptians paraded a manger and child representing Horus through the streets at the time of the winter solstice around December 21st. There is also something called Parthenogenesis, a reproductive strategy that involves development of a female (rarely a male) gamete (sex cell) without fertilization, which is what religious people (who live/think outside of biology) are perhaps conflating with 'immaculate conception.' This muddies the water a bit too, as the question becomes, "What is immaculate conception?" Is it really immaculate? (cosmic) or is it simply 'biology'/'science' the Jewish people of that time were completely ignorant to, and most people today still are. It's rare in higher vertebrates yes, but it does still occur, and we have scientific records of it happening in female women, not just Mary and Isis. 2. The 3 wise men (magi) in eastern tradition was 12, but western tradition has it at three, perhaps for the three gifts. But this numbering issue is a very small one, and certainly not evidence of dissimilarity, only historical dilution of story, perhaps even tampering for the sake of story preference/simplicity. What matters is that the story of Horus is virtually identical to the story of Jesus, and only differs on some very inane technical points. 3. Scholars today do NOT agree on when and where Jesus was actually born. Yes, that's right. Biblical chronologists do not agree on the year of the Birth of Jesus Christ. The dates suggested by these scholars range from 15 BC to 1 BC. They also don't agree Jesus actually existed, as we've never had a body, only a story, which matches the story of Horus, Mithra, and others before the time of Jesus. In short, people today lift other people's stories, change the details, to pass them off as their own all the time for various reason, including profit. 4. The rulers of Egypt were often called 'Gods,' which was a tradition that followed from ancient Sumer culture (sky people). 5. There is no 'evidence' Jesus ever walked on water, either. I could go on here, but why, you're simply going over everything and drawing lines through each event and saying, "This never happened," and failing to provide any 'evidence' to support your claim. To use a contemporary example to help shed some light on the subject of how stories are lifted/retold with a different protagonist and supporting characters: The movie The Punisher follows the same story line as the original Mad Max because one stole the other's storyline and changed the names of characters and some details to 'disguise' it as an 'original' story. Are they different as well? Yeah. But, very similar. Many writers and authors do this today, as they did throughout the ages. Given the overwhelming number of facts and details that match between the Horus and Jesus story it should give one pause about the authenticity of the Jesus story, for sure, but it doesn't negate, necessarily, the existence of God, or that perhaps this is the same messianic figure reemerging every so often to revive the 'Word' and get people back on track. It's said that Horus, like Jesus -- or Jesus, like Horus -- was born of a virgin, had twelve disciples, walked on water, delivered a 'sermon on the mount', performed miracles, was executed beside two thieves, rose from the dead and ascended into heaven. Same story, retold? maybe. Same God, returning every so often? That could be it too. There's a great book called, "Christ in Egypt,' written by a scholar you might like. Good vid. Thx.
there's plenty of people who have debunked the existence of Jesus and if he truly was real than there wouldn't be so many different religions now would there? Problem with Christians is that they believe everyone else has a duty to PROOF THEIR OWN BELIEFS while the Christians beliefs are the true beliefs and there's no need for proof while everyone who tries to discredit them are branded as heretics by the church. There's a very good reason why the bible claims god's words in the bible encourage people to have faith and not question or try to research is because asking questions or trying to do yourself may lead your to realize how much bullshit and how many lies are written in there hence is better if you stay stupid than educate yourself so just have faith. Funny how nobody questions the existence of the roman emperors, the existence of the greek philosophers, the existence of pharaohs which are far less important than Jesus is if he truly existence and some date even far before Christianity came to exist so you know is not a matter of Jesus records being to old, could it be because the evidence that in existence is not very convincing and probably fabricated? no it can't because you can't accept it right :)). More than 80% of the people in this world do not believe Jesus exists but apparently again everyone who isn't Christian is a fucking moron or a heretic for having different beliefs right?
it has been debunked on several occasions due to lack of evidence by people of different religions who simply don't accept what christian church claims to be evidence as evidence, just like Christianity has constantly tried debunking pretty much every other religion. In fact by simply believing in the christian god or Christianity overall you have to accept as debunked every other religion since the bible says AND I QUOTE: “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. “You shall have no other gods before me. “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments" Jesus' existence is only commonly accepted in Christianity and due to the fact the vast majority of the media we are exposed to is more or less controlled by people of christian belief is normal to have this false impression that Jesus' existence is accepted by everyone and that no one believes he didn't existed but you'd be surprised how many people in Asia for example see him as nothing but a fairy tale. Despite my aggressive I personally believe he did exist but was nothing more than a prophet or a historical figure and that's it. It is absolutely hilarious how people can obviously know that Hercules or any other Greek hero from mythology didn't exist because of how exaggerated their accomplishments are (and for good reason lol) But will go as far as to kill someone for even trying to argue Jesus' existence despite his accomplishment being much more impressive in the overall picture than either of the aforementioned. Just goes to show how brainwashed some people are and how common sense is something that is severely lacking for zealots. AND NOT ONLY are the supernatural elements of the bible in question but they are fucking stupid from the very beginning. Just go and look up the 7 days of creation if you don't already know them and see how retarded they are so from the get go there's a big fucking warning sign that the bible is full of shit.
Oh, I agree with you. I'm not a Christian myself. I thought you were suggesting he didn't even exist as a historical figure-my bad. I don't personally believe any of the biblical stories, though it is possible Jesus did say some of the things written.
interesting how the word heretic came from the council of nicaea, a convening of people trying to figure out all the ins and outs of this jesus fellow.... weird!
The Egyptians never used crucifixion as a form of capital punishment. It got started by the Assyrians and Babylonians, but didn't get used regularly until the Persians in the 6th century BC. The Egyptian myths stated here are from the 6th Dynasty of Egypt, which is over 1000 years prior to the start of Persian usage of the punishment.
She'll probably have to plagiarize her heart attack from some other atheist, that dumb broad hasn't done anything original in her entire existence on RUclips.
The Kamal Kartik Her and I never got along, we had a pretty heated interchange of a video back in 2013 where she decided to attack Ron Paul's political movement and I pegged her as a typical Neo-Lib moron. I will concede that her material has gotten progressively worse over time, but I was never a fan. Granted, I haven't been an atheist since a few years before I started my RUclips channel (which was LONG before she showed up) so there wasn't any real common ground to start from.
I say this with respect for a fellow seeker. You started supplying sources, and then stopped: so how do I trust your assertions? Also, the winter solstice was considered December 25th on the Julian calendar - so you disproved your point. The question isn't whether Jesus/Yeshua was born then - the speculation has been that his birthday was fabricated to correspond with the birth/legend of Heru/Horus. In religious syncretism, this is often the play: to make Jesus imitate and then replace a popular deity of the region sought for religious/hegemonic conversion. I learned this in college.
That doesn't matter. The Julian calendar also doesn't record a holiday on 12/25. There is no evidence any god was considered to be born on that day prior to 354 AD. Also, you need sources if you want to argue there is a connection. It is not my job to provide sources to debunk a claim you support for which there is no evidence for. You don't get to just assume a connection when you have no evidence.

Let me know when the Egyptians used a Hebrew title for their deities (Messiah) millennia before the Hebrew language existed.
And in what world did the ancient Egyptians use crucifixion? Crucifixion can never be attested to earlier than the Persians around 600-500 BC
So if it wasn t attested it didn t happen
There were multiple forms of “crucifixions” before the invention of the Roman cross. Ancient Egyptians during the New Kingdom period mainly used hanging and impalements on transgressors.
@@SergiuSalcau00 If one makes up a bunch of arguments out of thin air to conveniently support their thesis then yeah - it probably didn´t happen.

In Genesis, Joseph was in jail for 3 days,
In Exodus for example, the Israelites plead with the Pharaoh 3 times to travel for 3 days in order to sacrifice. The Ninth Plague, Darkness, which God punished Egypt with was for 3 days. The Ark of the Covenant took 3 days to receive, and another 3 days for them travel with it to a resting spot. There's a whole bunch more verses that state the important of 3.
"Amen" is Hebrew for "So be it"
Have you read the Hebrew Bible? The Jews have a habit of repeatedly worshiping multiple gods long after their time in Egypt. In fact, it's something that lasts even when they are in the Promised Land. God has to repeatedly punish them for continuously breaking their Covenant. Even if the Pharaoh Akhenaten may have introduced the idea of monotheism, which I doubt. The Jews clearly weren't that reciprocal or obedient towards it.

Horus the Elder
The elder Horus is one of the oldest gods of Egypt, born of the union between Geb (earth) and Nut (sky) shortly after the creation of the world.
In the Coffin Texts, Atum has a vital conversation with Osiris in which he describes the end of the universe as a time in which everything will cease to exist with the exception of the elements of the primordial waters, stating that after millions of years he and Osiris would be the only ones to survive the end of time as serpents.[16] He claims that he will destroy everything he created in the beginning of existence and bring it back to Nu, the primeval waters,[17] thus describing the belief that the gods and goddesses would one day cease to exist outside of the primeval waters.[16]
In the Book of the Dead, which was still current in the Graeco-Roman period, the sun god Atum is said to have ascended from chaos-waters with the appearance of a snake, the animal renewing itself every morning.[18][19][20]
Atum is the god of pre-existence and post-existence.
Easy his body is never founded like every other religion were their body have been found. If Jesus body was found then the religion itself would have completely failed.
Not sure if people are having vision of Horus but for sure many in middle east have vision of Jesus speaking to them... unless those people at ME are lying in such unified way though they are not connected...

Every time you see the name, Berkeley or Ramsey or Shelby or Lamarie we have to remember these are names from Kemet (Presently Egypt & North Sudan including Eritrea and North Ethiopia).
Great job. Nice study honestly. It takes a lot of courage to speak as you did in this. Thank you for doing this
"It is interesting that Isis is addressed as Hwn.t in a sarcophagus oracle that deals with her mysterious pregnancy. In a text in the Abydos Temple of Seti I, Isis herself declares: “I am the great virgin.” … In the Late Period in particular, goddesses are frequently called “(beautiful) virgins,” especially Hathor, Isis, and Nephthys."
-Dr. Jan Bergman and Dr. Helmer Ringgren, in Theological Dictionary of the Old Testament, Vol. II (339)
So I am Isis.
So I am a flame goddess.
You are Osiris.
I am mother to Horus.
I am sister to the god.
I am Hmmy.t.
I am the Great Virgin.
Temple of Seti I, Chapel of Osiris, West Wall-South Gate (13th century BCE)
Amice M. Calverley and Myrtle F. Broome, The Temple of King Sethos I at Abydos: Volume I, The Chapels of Osiris, Isis and Horus, ed. A.H. Gardiner (London: The Egypt Exploration Society, 1933), pl.9.
Notice Isis says she is Horus' Mother THAN says she's a "Great Virgin"
"In Egypt the epithets add.t, rnn.t and Hwn.t, ‘girl; young woman; virgin’, are applied to many goddesses-e.g. Hathor and Isis-who had not yet had sexual intercourse."
Dr. Bob Becking, in Dictionary of Deities and Demons in the Bible (891)
Indeed Osiris died before he could consumate marriage and take Isis's Virginity
"The marriage of Isis and Osiris was a very brief one, so brief, indeed, that they were not able to consummate their union while Osiris was alive. “Come to me, fair face who passed beyond without my having seen him,” Isis says after the death of her husband, leading one to suppose that he was murdered before their wedding night."
Dr. Dimitri Meeks and Dr. Christine Favard-Meeks , Daily Life of the Egyptian Gods (69)
In relation to the severed phallus myth Egyptologist Jan Assman says "The Egyptian Texts which seldom mention this scene know nothing of this detail"
Jan Assman Death and Salvation in Ancient Egypt (25)
“…[Osiris’s] parts were collected by Isis, and his body was duly resurrected by her, although the phallus was missing. This obliged the goddess to resort to parthenogenesis in order to conceive and bring forth Horus.”
-Dr. James S. Curl, The Egyptian Revival, p. 15.
Parthenogenesis means “virgin birth”:
“PARTHENOGENESIS. The principal deity of the Uapes Indians of Brazil, Jurupari, was born of a virgin who conceived after drinking a draught of native beer….”
-Maurice Arthur Canney, An Encyclopaedia of Religions, 278.
"Aeon/Horus was born of the virgin Isis on 6 January....The Egyptian Goddess who was equally the "Great Virgin" (Hwnt) and mother of the god was bestowed upon the very same praises as her successor (The Virgin Mary)"
Reginald E Witt Isis in the ancient world (218) (273)
"As Mithraism moved westward it proved a fertile ground for the addition of mystic meaning practically all the symbolism of Osiris was added to the Mithraic cultus even to the fact that Isis became the virgin mother of Mithras"
Gerald L Berry Religions of the world (56)
"-Cybele, Aphrodite, Demeter, Astarte, Isis, Hathor, Inanna and Ishtar like them she (Mary) is both virgin and mother and like many of them she gives birth to a half human half divine child who dies and is reborn"
Anne Baring and Jules Cashford The Myth of the Goddess Evolution of an Image (548)
"Isis also discovered the elixir of immortality, and when her son Horus fell victim to the plots of the
Titans and was found dead beneath the waves, she not only raised him from the dead and
restored his soul, but also gave him eternal life"
Diodorus Siculus Antiquites of Egypt (31)
As we can see Isis reserrected Horus from the dead just as she did Osiris!

Good vid. Thx.
Sigh....if someone is questioning the story of Jesus, why don't they make a reasonable claim that cannot be debunked by simple research....
there's plenty of people who have debunked the existence of Jesus and if he truly was real than there wouldn't be so many different religions now would there?
I don't think the existence of Jesus has been even close to debunked. The supernatural elements of the bible are in question of course.
it has been debunked on several occasions due to lack of evidence by people of different religions who simply don't accept what christian church claims to be evidence as evidence, just like Christianity has constantly tried debunking pretty much every other religion. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments"
Jesus' existence is only commonly accepted in Christianity and due to the fact the vast majority of the media we are exposed to is more or less controlled by people of christian belief is normal to have this false impression that Jesus' existence is accepted by everyone and that no one believes he didn't existed but you'd be surprised how many people in Asia for example see him as nothing but a fairy tale.
