Amazing content! I wish I had found your videos in my teens, when I was crazy about becoming a goalkeeper but had almost no quality guidance and technical analysis given to me by coaches.
Haha 4:55 “before I hit side volleys” I was gonna say the kick is bad but I mean you said before you learned the side kick so understandable but still good
Hey man love these types of videos because they help me compare some situations to my games and see what I should have done better. So thanks again man!
i conceded 9 in a game...we won and i scored the winning goal if i didnt redeem myself i dont think i would've played starting varsity for my upcoming tournament
I played in 5th grade my team always conceded around 7 to 8 from this one school and then the coach saw I enjoyed being a goalie and then we only conceded two
I was in a similar situation in NPSL didn't know anyone. And the wind was incredibly strong, blowing towards my goal the first half that game. I conceded 7 goals and lost confidence in my abilities for a while...

At the 4:14, you say you are "waiting for him to put his head down for the through ball." Which player you referring to? The one playing the ball through, or the player making the run. Can you elaborate on what you were reading in the play to help decide when to run out? I haven't heard this before. Many thanks
@@trisakkhanal1036 well, consider that modern goalkeeping was trained in Fortuna Düsseldorfs academy, a Bundesliga Club...he also played in the fifth tier (might have still been fourth at that time) which we do consider almost professional in Germany... I don't like his drills and training either...but if you compare u19 Bundesliga to a D1 program, usually the better players will be in a professional club's academy
@@trisakkhanal1036 that random goalie was also playing in the same leagues...even better than him as well. Also, they are doing skill challenges with side volleys and shit like that. The other goalie was better, I'll give you that
We had a season last year our goal ratio at the end of the season was - 154 I was in gaol once (im a cb) and we drew the game 1-1 and we actually would've won but the ref didn't see the goal we conceded was out of bounds. Funnily I broke my wrist in like the first 10 minutes and we couldn't sub because we only were 10 payers on the pitch. It was the first time in 2 years I had fun while playing football
Solid game mate! yeh I’d agree with y oii at 7:43 i probably would’ve held off and waited for the striker but otherwise just a spread save should do the trick
Chill, no pressure , when I concede goals I get hate , it makes me laugh when people hate me, that gives me more confidence to practice more and become better everyday, don’t worry , you’ll probably become pro if you practice enough and prove urself on the field. It won’t be easy and neither will it be for me, but deep down, it’s very possible , just don’t worry what other people think of you. Anddd
Real ones recognize this stadium from the film Going Pro: American Soccer😳 when the Brooklyn Knights played against the Ocean City Nor’easters in the PDL⚽️
great analysis, just wondering if you think you'd do the save at 8:15 differently. because i think you used a sloppy technique. But overall its more than just a solid game !
I’d just train different techniques slowly each week and see which one I’m more comfortable with, my technique is usually sliding toward the ball and making my self big
Naw it kinda looks like he touched it on film but he didn't. You can bet the attacker would have responded differently if he felt it was passed back to me.
So i play in a Kinda semi pro club 4th croatian league U16 And i remember There was a game and first half i conceded 5 goals And 2nd half my friend conceded 18 goals We lost 23-4 Lol
You look a very sound goalie but honestly, the level of football around the pitch really isn't that great. Hopefully it'll get better over time but looks a long way off Europe currently. Really like MLS though and how it's come along lately, just need more "grass roots" opportunities for people who can't afford thousands a year. That way you'll really start seeing some high level football at younger ages.
So this game was back in 2014 the summer before I signed overseas. This league (PDL) is really just a league for college players to stay fit during the summer before the fall season. I think we had 4/10 of our players in this match eventually sign professionally. But it was really just a weird setup for all of us. Only two of the players in this match played with the club previously. The rest of us just showed up for the match having never played with each other. Plus only have 10 men it was never going to be an attractive style of football. But you are right that the US needs more grass roots opportunities and that a ton of quality players slip through the cracks because they can't afford to pay. Which is a big reason we started the Will John channel and now GK Goluremi. To help out those kids who can't afford proper coaching by giving them free advice by players who have played professionally.
Sorry m8, u guys r playing well technically (first touches, dribblings, goalie tech) but ur team play is really terrible when ur used to european football. I had to say this. The way u press, defend and rotate is just soooo weird.
We were playing a man down and 8/10 of us had never even met/played with each other prior to this match. It doesn't really matter where you are playing the over play of a team in that situation isn't going to look good. I do agree that in the United States the tactical side is lacking when compared to some European countries. But it doesn't really make sense to use this game as an example of that.
7:09when the little kid gets mad when the striker missed 😂
Jan Halcin 😂 that’s amazing thanks for pointing that out
Your vision is underrated my dude lol
modern day goalkeeping would realize his mistakes he would just edit it out and not talk about it
Rustic Raccoon modern day goalkeeping?
Ainesosa sorey modern goalkeeping doesn’t matter any way he is shit
Rustic Raccoon modern day goalkeeping. Is a professional, but MODERGOALKEEPER isn’t
@@bordha5138 apparently modern goalkeeping is above the professional level tho..

17 right here

I’ve conceded 14 goals at one game, but these things happen the important thing was learning from your mistakes
I have never felt more relatable to something
If you're conceding 14 goals. It's clearly not your fault unless you're the reason of the first 3 goals.
How many your team scored though? Cause I conceded 12 but out team scored 11.
My team scored 0 that day. The defense was all outta wack

Nice, you played very well. I’m a center mid, but it’s helpful listening to you talk through your thought process as a goalkeeper. Wish you the best!
I’ve conceded 0goals
Cause I’m a striker
Then how many ‘easy goals’ you didn’t score because that is also conceding
@Missie Milon very true

Better than Modern Goalkeeping
Better trainer and analyst, but on the pitch, not too sure about it.

Is being a short goalie a problem? 5 foot 6?
Kinda because height helps alot but campos one of the best keepers was only 5'7 and he was very good.
How tall are u and do u believe height matters?
Not a GK but what if you don’t have the assets to record your game
That Wasn’t Needed YT use your phone?
OJ Greer I guess there’s no way it will run 90 minutes
That Wasn’t Needed YT Do you not have a DSLR camera?
OJ Greer no 😆 it’s not that serious yet. I don’t wanna say my exact age but I’m under 15
