I didnt like godsmack back when the first album came out. Im from new england and i worked in a t-shirt printing factory. Sully came in and was a dick to me when i just wanted to say hi. That was the start of my not liking them. Soneone wanted to go to a show in manch n.h. outside. He had a car no license. He had two tickets. He asked if i would drive if he gave me the other ticket. Well I went. They put on an amazing show. Great musicians. Then i heard and have seen later sully actually chilled out and was a good dude. So my respect has been restored.
Yes could have been timing. Did you listen to Sully's podcast from 3 years ago while pandemic resulted in 2020 shutdown? Sully couldn't tour or visit for months so he live streamed for the world. I haven't followed the band much in last 7-8 years so it was refreshing to hear from him no interpretation from a venting money hungry writer seeking a Pulitzer. He explained how the last 50 years of his life and entertained fans who had questions and wanted to hear him work breaking from news.
