I remember this when it happened - I was watching all of the Met on Tour videos of the tour waiting for the Toronto one which I was at, and I saw this video. I got in touch with the kids cause we were roughly all the same age - I think it was probably through MySpace. We kept in touch all these years and I'm am friends with all of them. Even though I live in Canada we still will visit each other and hang out. Tom (on drums) and Andy (black guitar) are driving up to Toronto in a few weeks to see Metallica with me. What a thing to happen - because of this I have these amazing friends - doesn't matter that we're in different countries.
This was fantastic. Give every talented kid a chance to jam with his favorite band...memories for all will last forever. They may even grow up to be music stars themselves. LOVE IT

Metallica has definitely turned into a family band. Saw them this year for first time since "91"!!!!! They still did a good show, but they're definitely getting old as am I. I do find it great though the generations I see a concerts anymore. My parents would never had let me go to a show let alone go with me at that age.

Somewhere around between 13 and 15 Metallica used to be like really huge like everything to a lot of kids.. I grew up and didn't have much money but I had a single cassette tape of Metallica's "One". I think it might have been the only cassette tape I owned..I eventually word that tape out!!! Also we used to draw the Metallica emblem on our denim jackets.. Which had multiple other drawings on them but everyone's METALLICA usually was the center peice stretching from shoulder to shoulder on the back of the jacket! The good ol days! Over 35 years ago!
