My friend, you are the absolute KING of pastel weathering and highlighting in the world of scale modeling. Everything, and I mean everything I know about it, I learned from you. Thanks so much for sharing that and so many other techniques that have made me a much better modeler.
FYI; HO train figures are 1:87 scale, N scale are 1:160 scale, G gauge has a verity of scales; 1:29, 1:22.5, 1:24, 1:32, 1:20.3. O scale is 1:48 to 1:43. Harder to find but out there are flight deck & flight line figures in 1:72 & 1:48 scales. These are WWII figures. Hope this is useful for those who want figures.
Great video. I'm sort of a Trekkie and never thought about how big the runabout is either. I'm also in the process of painting the DS9 model kit(newer clear one w/1:2500 defiant) and your defiant stand is a great idea. I was trying to figure out how I was going to display it with the defiant and now I think I'll use your stand idea. Thanks again.
Nice collection. I am buying the shuttle and intend to light it. I like using forced perspective when building my diaormas. I made a chevy plow truck on a base with snow and everything, then set it up in the front window in the winter and shot some pictures. Everyone thought it was a real truck!
Well done, sir. The battle damaged Defiant looks killer! Great job! When I was a kid I added some laser scoring on an X-Wing model by pulling the fuses out of firecrackers, laying them different areas of the model and lighting them. It came out pretty cool I guess. My dopey friends were impressed. But you have taken it to a whole new level. The structures visible under the blast holes was a brilliant idea. They came out perfectly and look very realistic. Kudos!
Hey thanks Giordano. Funny story about the firecrackers. For me it was the ol' Bic lighter but it often would overdo the job. Thanks again for the nice comments.
Your hobby store has got to be great! I try to find such pieces in my area, I live in a big city, but such pieces are impossible to find. Hobby shops/stores are becoming rarer and rarer. And, the costs are getting so upward it's almost unaffordable! Again, you are an artist! Bravo Sir!
Thank you. Some of these models and I've had them for some time. And yes....we only have one hobby store left so hopefully they'll stick around. Thanks for your compliment and for watching.
Great work, my daughter wants me to build her a DS 9 and frankly from what I have heard and knowing the quality of that manufacturer I am hesitant. That said, what you were able to do with that kit gives me hope! Pardon my nit picking suggestion, with the Defiant take the intact structure under the battle damage and damage it. IE make the round sections look like burst plasma conduit.
No problems with sound here. The yellowing decals is a bummer... have you thought about trying to sunbleaching them before need to resort to stripping them? I did some internet research and found that sunbleaching old decal sheets (putting them in a window for a day or two) took the yellow out before you took them off the sheet. I wonder if it may also help after you put them on the model.

+Wakeman Edwards Wow....well thanks for the compliment and for making my day. I really appreciate it.

tetsuoswrath Thanks for the compliment and for watching. Would love to see a pic when you finish your kit.
You're welcome, and I'll definitely post a pic of the finished station.
Outstanding work!!!

well done on the defiant battle damage, nicely done mate.
Nicely done sir. I sure do like that battle damage you've done. Looks great. :)

Great looking models!
Wow at that Defiant model!

G A Pratt appreciate your comments, thank you.
I've had few people tell me they get no sound. Not sure why. Let me know if you have issues. Thx
The landing pad is a great, have you thought about making a larger starship/freighter to go on one of the upper pylons of the DS9 model?
Thanks and no I haven't considered that. I'd have to find one that's in the proper scale.
Interstellar Modeler I think a standard freighter could be an easy scratch build, and it could be made very light.
Hey thanks guys. And thanks for sharing my video Marc. I appreciate it.
Always a pleasure!
Very nice!
Very cool
Thanks
Nice!
the runabout looks good would have been better covering the seams as they do stick out like a sore thumb. good work though!
I agree. This model was done a long time ago before I had any good techniques for hiding seams.

I will give that a try. Not heard of such a thing but am willing to give it a shot. Appreciate the tip and thanks for watching.
