Not to disrespect his builds because they are impressive but once you get the basics figured out it’s actually as easy as it looks especially if you’re doing it all from your head that way you’re not trying to follow a specific plan if you’ve got a good idea what you want to build and you’ve done it once or twice before it becomes almost 2nd nature I used to be a millwright fabricator and it was a very enjoyable job and it wasn’t that difficult my job required fabricating machinery on an industrial scale and installing it and a lot of times also designing and constructing the building around it and the supporting machinery all the way down to the handrails on the cat walks I recommend it as a job to anybody who enjoys building things it’s incredibly rewarding you’re not doing the same thing day in and day out and the pay is incredible just don’t work with people who cut safety corners you could end up very injured and very broke if things don’t go right

@Jenita Davis hey I’m curious when you do this do some guys actually think you are talking specifically to them personally I think you spam so much that you won’t even read this but if you do can you please answer me I’m genuinely curious
I agree!! I have been with his channel since the beginning and his fab skills are 150% better, sometimes I would cringe 😬 at his first projects but hey I did the same crap when I was young. I'm 57 now and the thing that my ole pops taught me was if it was built by man it can be torn apart and rebuilt better.
In Brazil this motorcycle is called Mirage 250 it's very nice here. I watch your channel for more than 3 years now and never commented, but I really like all things that you do
Yes!! To this build! And yes!! To suspension!! I'm picturing it will look like youre hugging that engine when it's done. That would look so cool. Harry and Loyd will be so jealous!
Personally I like the front forks and triple trees, they give it a chunky, beefed up look. Carry that through the whole project and it'll look beastly, in the same vain as the chunky looking engine IMHO 👍😎
No way. The triple cart. This thing is only 28hp. A real nasty predator can get up that high. It will probably want to flip over backwards trying to accelerate though.
Back in 1969 one of my friends him n his Dad took a Mustang motorcycle that was a rigid framed 250cc 3 speed removed that and installed a 650 Triumph motorcycle engine in its place...take off was in 2nd or 3rd leaning out over the gas tank...it was hella scary fast...lol... good luck with your build...
I think you and grind hard are the best fabricators out there. Cars and Cameras I watch also but they are hacks to an extent but are better marketable. Somehow you have to become as marketable as them to get the Sponsors you deserve
I just built a pocket e-bike. Got a blata minimotard. Stripped it down. Fitted a 48v 1800w motor and wired it all up. It’s great. I can do 36+ mph on my tiny bike making 0 noise and getting smiles off people. Despite the fact a 50cc 2 stroke does like 20 mph and people get MAD if you ride those around. And it accelerates like a rocket too
That turn table should be plenty slow enough from what I saw. I've been an iron worker for most of my life and in that time did a lot of pipe welding. You'll have to get the feel for it, but use a #9 cup, adjust your tungsten maybe ⅜ past the cup, turn your heat up and learn to walk the cup. That will speed you up quite a bit and your welds will be a lot smoother. I'm not knocking your welds at all, but they wouldn't pass welding pipe. Just a tip👍
Also "you cant hold anything bigger" as he said.. well there are those grooves on the bottom plate to bold pretty damn massive chuck on and if speed is issue for him, he could chance gearing or add gearing phase to make it slow enough. Ground clamp not holding in place.. well duh when its made for bolt on connection and from there to ground clamp. This thing would cost bit more if they included copper grounding wire as well.
I Absolutely Love that you build everything from scratch!! I will be shouting you out tonight on our Live tonight because your work is super sick man!! You never fail to get my creative juices flowing! Thank you for doing things the hard, completely custom way!! Your projects are always Unique and real deal Customized. My Sub will never go away! As a machinist I totally appreciate what you do, and how hard it is to change direction as you build!! #RATHERBEWATCHING #ROCKONBRO #WATCHTHIS
Enjoy watching your quality work. Shows that not having a huge shop or hi end tools is no excuse for pore quality or shortcuts. Also side note. You have the best background music. I know its just a small thing. But so many other channels get lazy with it and ruin what would otherwise good video. So thanks. Also wondering if your follow Macro Machines. Be awesome to see you two do a mini colab. I.e..bar stool racer or something small and quick to build.
The triple clamp is spot on with the second cut, you over think things like me, I would put rear suspension on it otherwise it will be an bumpy ride, looking good so far 😉💯💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥👌👌👌
Your next project should be an all terrain pallet jack or something similar. I hate seeing you tear up your back moving your projects around. Lol. Love your channel. Keep up the great work
That's cool, man. Thank you, buddy, for delighting us with various interesting projects. Hello from Russia, I'm watching your videos and learning English) 😄
Chris I'm just going to be honest your talent for what you do it's priceless you are a very gifted all the way around, it's just amazing the work you do ...👌👌👍👍
May I offer an EZ way to spread open a lock collar ? just thread a bolt through the opposite side with a piece of sheet metal in slot , turning the bolt against the sheet metal will spread open the collar just enough . Also , to "prep" your new collars to have the exact amount of permanent install clearance , thread bolt in just enough to "bend" the collar open a few thousands .
Omg this is a freaking build I have been waiting forrrr.........!! Yessss thank youu. Keep up the hard work and good content coming 👌 thank you again bro .😎
I love All of your builds but this one has really caught my attention. This is gonna be awesome. I can’t wait to see the finished product. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 However you really need rear brakes. I would just add a plate to mount a disc on the opposite side of the rear hub. Safety bud please. I’m afraid if you have front brakes only you’re going to lock up the front wheel and either have the front wheel kick out from under you or you could go over the handlebars.

Just a tip when setting the bead have the tire standing up and not laying down if something ever goes awry and the back bead blows off the rim now you have this tire shooting at your face at x amount of miles an hour. I'm only suggesting this because when I was a teenager I had a truck tire blow off the bead when I was trying to set it. It launched straight up 25 ft hit the ceiling and came back down on the hood of a Pepsi truck. The only thing that stopped it from taking my jaw off was my two hands which broke 3 bones on my left and 4 on the right. I get your tires are much smaller but they built pressure much quicker. You're working on a workbench and your face is about a foot and a half away stay safe dude.
With TIG welding to get it flowing better you need more amps. I would probably use 130 amps on that piece en just go dap dap dap or walk it over the wire. TIG can be a lot faster than you would think.
Wall outlet power adjustment is super cheap. Regulate power out the outlet. There used for soldering. It will slow your unit down. You’ll have all the range of pedal but you can set this regulator thing low so your pedal low speed is lower witch would also mean you max speed will be lower. But it has a dial 1-10 so you can get that unit in the range your looking for. Idk wat it’s called but prolly google soldering power regulator and you’ll see it plugs in wall then your unit plugs into it and we’ll it will wrk.
I think making it a hardtail is a great idea. Front suspension is easy, but making rear suspension will require a lot more work. Also, I think adding a nice big round headlight to the fork will really improve the look. I do like these "simple builds" though!
My first video of yours (after hearing your name many times elsewhere). I'm really impressed, especially with your shop discipline and use of space. Not to mention all the interesting techniques you use. There's a lot of machining content in the context of a big well equipped shop, so I doubly appreciate the down-to-earth content here.
Chris give the forks more rake and room for the oil cooler. Also please clamp your work when drilling. My friend lost use of a finger from rushing a drilling. FYI we like it when your builds evolve in front of your eyes.
Don’t forget to put a sleeve between those wheel bearings so when u tighten the axle nuts you don’t squeeze the bearings in, they aren’t ment to take force like that
This is just like the 600cc triple two-speed kart... death in a super powerful, fast, and tiny package! Its awesome!!
I am totally amazed at your fabrication skills and keeping it all in your head. Your builds are awesome and this will be no different.

you are off to a great start, can not wait to see on the road.
Looking good so far. The front fork does look a little blocky. But the engine is big and blocky too. So they match. 😉
Pocket rocket with a huge V-twin!
Huge? Still only 250 cc but huge for a minibike!
Massive as in weight? yep. power? Nope. I really don't like the motor in this thing. It's unnecessarily heavy, and weak.
Been waiting on a pocket bike build with a swingarm maybe?💪🏾💪🏾

This is the perfect build. ALL the right ingredients. Engine Brake?! It will throw you over the handlebars, if you are not experienced.
This should be an interesting project 👍

Of course you should have front and rear suspension it would be such more nice ride and more fun to drive.
But thats my opinion.
Keep the good work.🤘🤘
Super nice welds bro!
I'm so happy you decided to go rocket!!!😁👍
Thats bike is amazing brother
Great work. You should add a headlight into the forks 👍🏻
Wow fist time ive heard about the masonery drill bit on hardened steel, nice!
For your positioning table if you get some heavy guage wire and make a pigtail lead for the ground it could make attaching your clamp easier
Love it bout time one of you took the challenge
Triple clamp looks good
Finally something small!Thanks
Babe wake up rather b just dropped some heat 🔥🔥
That engine is huge for a 250cc ... I'd be willing to bet that the engine of my twin cylinder 800cc KTM 790 Duke is smaller. How much does it weigh??
From what I can find, about 100lbs stripped.
Probably filled with rocks and sand…..looks like a metric twin 1100. Why so much mass for a 250?
@@mzinns So that it would look like a big v-twin engine. They tried to make it look more like a large cruiser than the little bike that it was.
that was my first thought, mini crotch rocket with MAXI engine
He's gotta use a different engine for sure 250cc for that size?!
Dude great build !! Love you’re work man!!
That looks excellent!! You Really have got something here, can't wait to see the finished product 😉👍
Don’t forget to put a sleeve between those wheel bearings so when u tighten the axle nuts you don’t squeeze the bearings in, they aren’t ment to take force like that
Dont die on this before you finish your rock bouncer!
Might a new bigger shed not be an amazing and handy idea for a video series
I have a project like this in mind...Using a 200cc 2 stroke engine from a Yamaha Blaster and the left over parts from that machine.
