EASY GROUND TURKEY MEAL PREP! TURKEY TACO BOWLS ($4.00 per meal)

  • Alright Squadies!!! This MEAL PREP is one of my FAVOURITES! It's super easy to make, SUPER affordable, and SUPER yummy. It's a huge win all around, which is why these easy turkey taco bowls are one of my favourite go to meal preps.
    I also love that you can make these turkey taco bowls LOW CARB or CARB BASED. I usually do half of the turkey taco bowls low carb, with the other half carb based (using whole grain rice). That way I can use the carb based taco bowls for my easy post workout meal and use the low carb taco bowls for my lean meals throughout the week (I tend to incorporate my carbs right after my workout to ensure I replenish my glycogen stores, improve my recovery and feel satiated).
    These turkey taco bowls are also PACKED WITH PROTEIN (from the ground turkey), fibre (from the black beans), and nutrients from the vegetables (red, green and yellow peppers). This truly is one of the best meal prep recipes out there!!

    INGREDIENTS TO COOK THESE GROUND TURKEY TACO BOWLS:
    -3 tablespoon olive oil
    -1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
    -1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
    -1 large red onion, sliced
    -1 lb ground turkey (455g)
    -28 oz can of diced tomatoes (strained &
    drained)
    -1 can black beans (15oz)
    -1 can corn (12oz)
    -1 jar salsa (420ml)
    -1 cup cheddar cheese
    -1 packet taco seasoning
    -Dash of salt & pepper
    -Fresh cilantro
    -2 packs cauliflower rice or rice (cooked)

    REMEMBER you can make these LOW CARB or CARB BASED with either cauliflower rice or regular rice. I use whole grain rice whenever I make these carb based, as it's much better and healthier than white rice!

    i recommend makin ur own taco seasonings since most of the premade taco seasonings contains added sugars
