You can definitely resole those. Good cobblers can take care of it for you. The only issue would be if you really beat up the boots and damage the upper to where there's not enough leather left to resole. I don't know what you do for a living but I worked in a refrigerated warehouse and also had to work out in the yard on gravel and some wetness. They held up beautifully. Also since you have a lot of boots having a rotation is the best thing for your boots. I love my Redwings but these aren't bad.
I just bought a pair of these in the steel toe version for work. Very comfortable. I’m gonna buy a pair of the soft toe ones just to wear. I wear a 10.5 D in the Thorogood 8inch Moc so I got a 10.5 D in the Danners and they were too big so I had to send them back and get a 10. Out of the 3-4 different brands I wear 3-4 different sizes lol. 11 Tennis shoe and an 11 will swallow me while in any of these boots.
How do you like these vs. your Irish Setters? I checked them both out at Bass Pro and the Irish Setters had a bit more extra stitching. I was surprised as most of my Danner’s have the extra stitching.
@@gallo4796 they have two options regular and wide. I wear 13 4E in sneakers. The wide fit feels great. I already purchased two more the black and the dark brown.
Is that a nubuck or a smooth top grain leather? Yep if those are hand stitched along the moc line and with a metal shank in there, it may be worth a resole down the road. For your thorogood sole cleaning, try oxy clean or white saddle soap.
I'm a carpenter and mine lasted 6 months the shoe strings popped I re tied them the threading on the moc toe opened up and the sole ate itself away I love those boots but they are lightweight
Digging that year round Christmas tree

Ive had a few resole quotes and it is not worth it . Only reason i wont buy danner for work since the resole is not cost effective for me
This is the first time I've seen your content. Thanks so much. I just bought these and love them so far.
I ended up with the 6" Carolina moc toe, but those Danners are beautiful.
8" boots just look best imo. Those look sharp brotha.

I just got these and I’m in the delivery industry and didn’t even think about the soles. I hope they hold up

@@nesco7615 did you order the same size as sneakers? Or do they run big like most boots.
not good for winte r? i was about to buy those for winter lol
Did the leather laces come with these moc toes? Or did you have to buy them? I’m thinking about trying these bull runs and I like them leather laces.
Came with both brother

Thicker leather would have significantly increased opinions on this thin leather boot.
Great looking boots
I like dem boots!
Thorogood American flag placement looks better makes me feel proud the flag is visible 🇺🇸
Awesome review, thanks!
How do these compare to thorogood MOC toes or carloiana MOC toe? TIA
How are the boots now? A year later
Do you wear the same size in Irish setters as these?
Why are they so hard on the inside sole after taking of the removable sole. ? I just purchased a chelsea
Underneath the Ortholite sock liner is a cheap fiberboard (read textile paper) liner to give the boot rigidity.
Your right, I ruined a pair of thorogood moc toes in two weeks of trash collecting
They are hand stitched
Good video. Good review. Well done. Thanks for sharing.

leather is made here all the small items overseas
For $240 stay with the thoroughgood
I’ve tried three different pairs of thorogood both lined and unlined and I just can’t get a pair that feel comfortable
To me, these boots need to be 6 months to a year + old to do a review

Turn your washing machine off
Ortholite insole. No liner. *
Components made in China, assembled in America. Nothing about those are hand stitched, sorry to break you bubble. What a rip off.
Buy a pair and see for yourself!!!
@@questjones6181 No, I own union made in America only work boots. You will never convince anyone that truely loves their country to support the CCP.
