Which one do you prefer on your face the triangle technique or the targeted technique 🤔
Going to try the new technique 😯
I’m excited to try the new technique! It looks amazing 🤩
Targeted 🙌🏼
Targeted. Going to have to try that.
Love love love the technique and of course love u and all of ur content I’ve been around since the “quad fam” days lol
The new side. I like how makeup is evolving into a more natural look.
F-ing LOL.
Same always wanted to learn it that ,ay but there were not enough tutorials on it
I like the new side more! 😇 It looks natural
More natural lol there are like twenty different types of makeup going on faces nowadays.... cnocealer contour foundation blush never mind overly large eyelashes eyeshadows 5 step lipstick techniques on overly inflated lips... (I am speaking in general not this person in the video) We are so far off of "natural" lol
Thank God. Everything is going back to being more Authentic.😌
I watched Wayne Goss do this awhile back and it has made a world of difference in my concealer, I do believe your eyes with that technique looks bigger even.

Looks great..but your young and probably look beautiful with no makeup! But I'm definitely saving this video and going to try it. I'm also going to follow you. Here's to a new friendship! Hoping you can help me learn new tricks. I'm not getting younger but I hope I can look younger with your help. Or even just look healthy for my age, after all, fact of life, we all age...I would like to do so gracefully..Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

My first time trying a concealer and I did this. Bro!!!! I looked so good and got so many compliments. Thank you
LOVE this technique!! I'm a lady of a "particular age", so I've stopped doing the older way. But THIS new way, is something I've been needing!! Thanks, gorgeous!! You're truly THE best!! Even this lil older lady appreciates continuing to know and grow!! Blessings to you! 🤩
Yes 🙌
💁🏽♀️...You look damn good to be a "lady of a particular age!"👏🏽💯👍🏽

I'm 63 and I plan to follow this woman and her concealer hacks.
Amen to that 💕
I love that she showed herself adding pigment to her hairline. I'm impressed with the realness. 😍💞
Why did she do that?
@@lisaramirez7834 to fill in a thinning part.
@@ALT-vz3jn what! I’m this day old learning this! I’m definitely going to try this one out.
It is called curated imperfection, and influencers do this to evoke the exact feeling you are describing; that way, they can build trust and parasocial relationships, which will make you more likely to buy what they are selling. It is perfectly planned.

I switched to targeted concealing a couple weeks ago after watching a Robert Welsh tutorial. The first time, I did one eye, left the other bare, and took photos side by side. I don’t have very dark circles, but I was still absolutely shocked at how fresh and bright the concealer side looked.
First time viewer here and absolutely LOVE this tip/hack! I would love to see how you apply makeup to someone a little older (60’s).
You’re so easy and enjoyable to watch! Thanks for sharing.
Your honesty is so refreshing. You are gorgeous and the makeup just tops it off. Thank you so much for your candor and your tips! I'm bingeing on all your techniques!
I fell in love with the targeted technique! I’m 30 and as much as I love the old technique I can totally see the difference. ❤️
Now being 36 and still being obsessed with makeup but loving my skin as well. I love the lighter amount of concealer. Less can be more sometimes! ❤
Love the new technique! But clearly it's important to get the right brushes! Thank you!
I adore the updated targeted concealed look. It definitely looks more natural, but still has good coverage for under eye circles/darkness.
Wow!!! Thanks for demonstrating this! Both sides are beautiful but you’re right the new way is more functional for an everyday natural look. I am definitely going to try. 😊
Well done ! You're gorgeous .
It is truly different when your skin has changed to wrinkly at 49 - 50 yrs old. I can't use any foundation or setting powder now, it's a huge bummer. I watch all all of these videos in hopes that there will be some, thing I can use.
Again, really gorgeous.
I love the new application. And I think you have such a pure heart. You’re so kind.
I love this style video. I love the tutorials because I get stuck doing the same thing over and over. Thank you!!
Love both, but esp how simple you make it. Doing my own wedding makeup since ceremony and reception are in different cities (I’m nuts hi), but I’ve been binging you and you have such usable advice. Thank you!
I love when you teach! The targeted approach is my fave!
Yess
I'm a older woman and can't wait to try this new way! I have had dark eye bags for last 5 years and have ordered everything and nothing works for under eye dark circles. I love the new technology you just did. I always did the triangle
I literally never wear makeup and I tried the new technique, LIFE CHANGING!
Love what your doing I love the new way. Also using a cold sponge is a great way to close down the pores.
The new side definitely lifts the entire cheek bone and it looks so much more natural. I honestly prefer the more natural look and as we are starting to age somewhat we see the creases and slight wrinkles around the eyes. I have started to see the old way as a very heavy and ‘cakey’ looking makeup look because my skin is no longer as smooth and young as I was when I started doing it. More videos like this would be great! Also, anything to slim the face more without making more makeup so caked on would be wonderful.
Love the lifted side so much. You can really see the difference indeed xx
Gurlll I just stumbled upon your account. You're so pretty I love your features please keep making more tutorials. These are exactly what I need!
I am so grateful to have come across this! THANK YOU for sharing what you have learned and practical ideas. I've learned a lot and especially learned what I was doing wrong. You teach SO well!!
The new side!!
Yes please, more technique videos! I like the new technique side because as well leaves more for your blush the show up.
These are my fav kind of videos. I also enjoy affordable product reviews and dupes.
I’m def trying rn I’m currently doing my makeup. Looks nice a new technique thanks Dominique ❤️
The "new" technique (new to you) definitely looks lifted which I love!!! I vote for the higher eyebrow side/new side. Hopefully that made sense. Love this video. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for the clarification on using a brush!!!❤ I've been using the new technique with a beauty blender, which as you demonstrated takes away from the lifting the new technique provides.
LOVE, LOVE the new technique! Natural and alluring, it draws attention directly toward the eye.
Thanks for this video.
I love these. There’s always things to learn. Please keep doing these.
Yes!
New technique is my old tried and tested one that as a lady of a certain age I've used for years . I prefer the new ,(lol my usual ) technique . Your make up looks beautiful
The new technique is just awesome! Thank you!
New technique is light, in a kind of less is more way. Love it!
Thank you so much for showing this. I never liked the old way so I really like the new way. As you said it's more natural and it enhances the natural curves of the face.
I love the new technique. I will definitely try using a brush also.
🤌🏼Let’s do this!

Hello beautiful ❤️
I really love the updated look.It looks more natural. I'm definitely going to try it today.
Really love how the new technique look. Trying it tomorrow!
I like the new technique because less is more! Looks great!
Well, I learn something everyday. I like the new technique side for mature skin or woman. Love it! Thank you! Great video!
I love the new technique. It's more real and makes you look more beautiful than the old one does.
Had seen Wayne Goss demonstration but was good to see your technique.Very well done.thanks
Thank you so much for this concealer trick. You are amazing and beautiful 😍
🥰 Thank you!
✨i love how she talks, it’s so soothing and amazing 😻✨
Love the new technique. Love the idea of using the little brush too and using the lines. The sponge does get clunky for those details. Thank you for sharing!
I feel like the old technique never worked for me bc it just highlighted my larger pores on my inner cheek area AND made my undereye skin look dry and wrinkled
You know, this is not to be offensive, but for a couple of yrs now I thought I was the only one struggling with asymmetrical eyes/brows. I guess this is a normal thing as we age. You are stunning. Thank you for doing these videos.
Ive had that happen with botox where an eyebrow drops a little, not forever but sometimes you'll get more movement in one brow than the other.
Her eyebrows look angry
Why not say something nice about her video
Linda
@@sharkktongue hee Brows look great
And you Are big Mad lol
The new technique really highlights your high cheekbones and it’s gorgeous!
New technique for sure! It’s more of a natural look. I need to try it.
I love both! I like the more natural but maybe for a date night or going out on a certain occasion the old way would be beautiful!
Really LOVE both!
IF I had to pick I’d pick the NEW side!!💕
Thanks

Robert welsh made me start doing this a year or two ago and tbh I never liked the triangle caked concealer but I’m happy to use less and save more ❤️
Same
Girl same. He is the reason I only use a tiny amount. I tried so hard to bake and it never looked good ever. The triangle technique never worked for me in any way shape or form. Love him
I just found your channel and really enjoyed watching it. You do things differently and love how you put the types and instructions on the screen. Thank you.
New technique all the way! Beautiful💖
Girl you don’t need foundation look at that beautiful skin
I love the new technique cause it does look more natural and subtle. I’ve always had trouble with my concealer creasing or looking cakey no matter what concealer I use so this video was very helpful, thank you!
I can’t wait to try out this technique! THANK YOU! ♥️ Gorgeous makeup!
Love the new technique! It lifts the eye and saves so much product!
AS A AMUA MYSELF, I believe utilizing both techniques where appropriate would work best of all! First, use the "OLD" technique, only for color correction, but next, use the "NEWER" technique for concealer.
To finish up, I would use a highlighting pen to create the illusion of lift with light. Lastly, I would add more colors of blush. If you are exposed to sunlight your cheeks will be pinkish on their highest point, rather than flat color in all the same tone. Adding a soft pink on the highest point of the cheek bones will add the dimension desired.
Love the new technique. I am so happy that you did comparisons. Lisa Eldridge has been doing the new technique for more than a decade. You brought this to all of us young people 😊😊
Anything that stops me having to pile on this products is going to be good for my skin, so I'm loving this 'new/old' technique!
Can’t wait to try this! Thanks doll 💖
The "new technique" is really the older technique for my generation 🤭 we just go in circles in fashion and makeup
You’re absolutely right! It’s the same with the clothing industry. I’m not one to run out to buy or wear the newest style. I only wear clothes and makeup that look good on me. The latest fads will eventually die and I will have saved a lot of money for not getting sucked into their pressure buying tactics!!!
Totally. I agree and I'm 55.
Thank you!
Exactly what I was thinking
@@susanyork6097 That's true. I even wear my mom's old clothes which come back in fashion and nobody knows. Fashion comes back again every 20 years.
I'm pretty sure Wayne Goss came up with this technique. He is a makeup wizard!
Yess
Lol no, the 80's came up with this technique.
if you see this run and try this right now. This is literal sorcery!! Ive always been soo complex about my dark circles and this helped me so so much. thanks again ❤
For sure the new technique. Gonna try it tomorrow. Thank you
I saw Robert Welsh do the targeted technique for the first time on RUclips and it MADE A DIFFERENCE
I just wanted to tell you. Thank you for taking the time to do these contrasts! I love the new technique but if I’m having a fast day… it’s the triangle look 😂😂😂 and I’m 36
NEW!!! I hate looking like I have makeup on! I like looking natural, and it’s hard to find video that fit that genre! This really helped!
Love how you put the used items in the description box!
Love this! Can’t wait to try!
LA girl pro concealer is hands down the best for color correcting I have medium skin tone and I use the peach for color correct and then apply tarte shape tape over it. It has completely changed the game! Thanks for the amazing tips! Love makeup educational videos
I've always used the targeted technique for years and years 😉 - never did the triangle.
I'm excited to try this new technique tomorrow! Thanks gorgeous 😘
LOVED the new technique!
I’ve seen Wayne Goss use this technique, not sure if it originated from him or not.
Yes I started doing it after I watched him and it has made a world of difference with my concealer although I do not believe he did the extra bit on the outer corner.
I saw it first from a teen model on tiktok last year
Robert welsh, british makeup artist.
I feel like that is one of my biggest problems is the creasing under my eyes. I have a lot of eye wrinkles that are usually accentuated with concealer
Same here. I'm 39 and my under eye creases and bags have become horrible over the years probably from years of pulling on my lids to do crazy eyeliner stuff lol.
Omg, it's incredible how de old technique rounded your face compared to the other side, checking from front you can't see the whole thing, but when Christen turns her face to compare, omg... it's really... I'm speechless honestly!
The New technique most definitely! Love the natural look! Love your videos!
I see really no difference.
It both looks amazing and you’re gorgeous!
The difference is very obvious
I can hear Robert Welsh’ rigs on this video lol I know this technique is a bit different than his, but I think it’s something he would approve.
I love the new technique it looks so natural and gorgeous 💕
Those lashes are gorgeous!
My only issue with this new technique is the emphasis on the inner eye/nose area. My glasses plus oily skin always smears the concealer and messes up the whole look 😩
Ah I could see that, does it do that even when you set it?
@@christendominique yea it does. Unless I’m not setting it properly idk. Any tips?
@@LivCinclair You don’t have to bring to much onto your nose if you don’t need it and set with the brush type I used in the video.
@@christendominique I’ll definitely try that. Thanks so much!! ❤️
What’s your technique for contouring round faces? I’ve seen a few from Selena’s makeup artist but I would like to see your technique! Thank you!!!
LOOKS FABULOUS CAN'T WAIT TO TRY THIS THANKS!
One of the few realest MUAs of RUclips. I’ll try the new technique
"No creasing, no fine lines"... wait till you're older.🤣
I know Robert Welsh didn’t create this technique, but I feel like he really popularized it!
Love the new method. 🙌🏼
Thank you! Super helpful. Can’t wait to try it out!
Robert Welsh created this technique. ✨ a british makeup artist and beauty youtuber💯
First!
❤️❤️❤️
The updated version is definitely more beautiful and shows the natural beauty of the face!
Amazing as always Christen!!❤❤
The new technique is beautiful!
Your face, eyes, and shape of your face is BEAUTIFUL!!! Thanks for sharing your tips. Much appreciated from New Mexico!
Targeted for sure, your face looks so much more lifted and it’s super flattering on the face
I love the new technique, thank you for this❤️
Thank you for sharing the new technique.
