Thank you sm for helping me start multiple channels like this to direct attention to my streams!!I've gotten over 3,000 paid subs on twitch and have been steadily growing my wonderful community! You da 🐐 Twatter 😭❤
I've actually learned over time that streaming on Twitch does have a good amount of fun and moments. But even so I would strongly suggest sticking to making RUclips videos until your big enough to start streaming. Had to learn that the hard way.
Okay. I think from here on out I'm going to focus on making. videos seems like every time I do a live stream on RUclips, I always feel like I'm wasting time because I get no views. and nobody says anything in the chat And i stream for at least three hours. Or longer
I would add that there are certain interactive things you can use with twitch that are not available on any other platform just yet as well. Other platforms are starting to add some but twitch definitely has the lions share for now.
The hardest thing I find about having any channel be it on RUclips, Kick, Twitch or whatever is AUDIENCE ENGAGEMENT. I keep on asking questions but nobody is answering. It feels like screaming into a void sometimes, honestly. My funds are limited so I can't pay for support at the moment and I make do with what I have. I create my own thumbnails, I experiment with AI art to make better thumbnails and photoshop for the titles. I have a lot to learn I know this but the process is so slow sometimes. It grows so slowly that's for sure. Happy to accept any tips or advice. - A
There is one thing you did not talk about that is a big plus for youtube, the vods . When a stream is down on twitch its more or less dead content , but a youtube vod will live as long as there is a platform. But I guess this depends alot of what kind of games you play.
True but if the vods don’t get pushed like normal videos do from the algorithm, is it really a plus? I mean it’s cool to have sure but it also ruins your algorithm in the process
I hear you BUT even after this video I think you should stream on RUclips AT THE BEGINNING of your Livestream journey and then after you should switch to Twitch or some other plaftorm.
Meh, I’d recommend focusing on creating videos on RUclips instead of streaming there. Same energy and better results; referring to the beginning of one’s streaming career
@Twatterlive i totally get that I usually just go live on twitch for fun never really advertise it. Just live on my main youtibe channel which is at almost 1700 subs from shorts
So, Twitch is the best platform for beginners who don't have much reach, right? And creating a separate channel on RUclips just for shorts to gain more reach and bring those viewers to my Twitch stream is a good idea, right? For video projects (e.g., recordings from my Twitch livestream), should I also create a separate RUclips channel?
What’s your thoughts on a RUclipsr with 100k subs streaming. Should he do it on RUclips because of his viewership ? Or move the traction to Twitch For me, I avg around 100 viewers on a yt stream. And less than 10 on twitch. Should I grind out twitch? And will they pay me more via ads
Ads isn’t what will pay you more but twitch is more centered around getting viewers to support streamers via subscribing, gifting, bits etc. yes RUclips has similar alternatives but 9/10 people will just watch where as on twitch it’s more common to actually support. With that being said I would use your RUclips to your advantage by directing more of your attention to your streams
I have around 2k on Tiktok and I did a poll about where I should go live and 90% of them said RUclips... do you still think that Twitch would be a more suitable option ?
You forgot the largest issue with Twitch, the SUPER low upload bandwidth cap it's barely good enough for 720p60 and horrible for 1080 or higher unless you like blocky streams
1. Saying those others don't have an algorithm isn't really accurate. Their algorithms are just much more primitive than RUclips's. 2. The streamer gets all the revenue from Bits used on their channel. It's just that the upfront cost to buy the bundle of Bits has an upcharge for the buyer. How much that is depends on how large the bundle is, but it's not even close to double which seems to be what is implied when referring to the 50% cut. 3. The cut from Twitch subs depends on whether you're in their Plus program. The example of having 100 subs means the 60/40 split might be doable depending on how many of those are gifted and how many viewers are willing to sub at a higher tier (temporarily).
i really like the twitch algorithm compared to yt... twitch recommended channels are usually right up my alley, streamers with small communities, playing games i enjoy... while the yt algorithm just seems to throw stuff at me and hopes it will stick... "oh i see you clicked on a video about xyz once, didn't even finish watching it, but here, lemme fill your recommendations with xyz videos for a week"... "what, you said 'not interested' or 'don't recommend this channel' only 3 times, well that must have been a mistake, here have more of their stuff, u might like it"... but ofc im talking strictly as a viewer not a creator
@@Bunny_Aoife I agree as a viewer. I've found Twitch is pretty good at recommending things. I think it's mostly comparing viewership, which is smart because community is important there so it's nice to see someone you may know already in a new channel. And chances are the same set of people who enjoy one thing are more likely to enjoy another. Meanwhile YT uses all these metrics that are pretty hit or miss for me.
i been coming back too streaming in twitch and youtube i been multi streaming but it sucks now i get 1 view ever since i take my break off twitch too grow my youtube channel no on on my youtube will join twitch because they hate it i only get 1 viewer could be bot admin watching me because i am temping too quit streaming on youtube only but i been multi stream on youtube and twitch since 2017 i never stop that
I dropped twitch in the beggining of this year. Only youtube I like qulity of content and video much more than on twitch in offline and online mode. I think twitch has no bright future even in gaming streaming. Garbage bin for biowaste.

personally i stream on RUclips, but take clips from live streams and post them as videos
How has that been working out for you? Is it effective in getting more people to view your streams?
This was very informative, thank you. A little too fast for me to actually retain the information lol but very well executed overall.
Yes I recommend slowing be down to .75 speed if my talking is too fast
thanks for the advice. I really appreciate how clearly and concisely you laid out the pros and cons.
You make a lot of sense🔥🔥🔥
Whats your thoughts on multi stream, why not stream all platforms all at the same time?
Multi streaming is exactly what NOT to do and I explain why in depth in this video ruclips.net/video/XOmdAUUoBZQ/видео.htmlsi=sC2rkJZlOq2wcmre

RUclips Streaming may gain you lots of views and subs in Shorts RUclips Streaming…. But the revenue shorts live is very small, Like $1 per 100k views.
Captions were distracting sometimes, but the video was amazing overall, nice
