As I've gotten older my taste in games has evolved. I still play FPS's, RPG's, etc. But even those have become stale. This list is amazing. At 62 yo (and about to retire with plenty more time on my hands) I'm DEFINITELY going to look into and possibly play more than just a few games on your list. Two HUGE thumbs up. Thanks.
That's fantastic! I'm like you, searching for experiences, no matter the gameplay. May I recommend you two of the best experiences I had in gaming? What remains of Edith Finch is the first game, it's a mystery game where the theme of family is found from the start to the end of the game. 4 hours of pure amazement. Second is Other Wilds, I would call this a celebration if the mind and leave it at that, the rest is for you to discover. Enjoy friend.
Great list man, as you went through them I was surprised at how many of them I had played & enjoyed such as Oxenfree, Wolf Among us, the Artful Escape, Road 96, Last Day of June, Kentucky Route Zero, Sea of Solitude, Ether One, Night in the Woods & Tacoma. Great smaller titles that stuck with me long after playing, I will definitely check out the others on your list. Others I played of this level would be games like Toem, Killer Frequency, Mundaun, Chicken Police: Paint It Red, Tinykin, Last Stop, Crossing Souls, Rime, Virginia, Donut Country, Arise: A Simple Story, Unravel, the Council, American Fugitive, Return of the Obra Dinn, Flipping Death, the Unfinished Swan, Dreamfall Chapters, Wailing Heights, Thimbleweed Park, Old Man's Journey, Blues & Bullets, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, Dear Esther, Flower, Firewatch, the Inner World, Styx Master of Shadows & Never Alone amongst others but I wager I rambled on a bit. Great content man, I have watched a few of your videos, they all have excellent games & are well presented & explained. You can count me as a new subscriber.
I love The Artful Escape. That Game kept me sane during 2020, and it was cool hearing the late great Carl Weathers doing the voice of Lightman. Plus I was introduced to The Wolf Among Us when it was new. And I grought a lot of Fables comics thanks to that game.
This seems like a really great list, my only complaint is many of them seem similar. Like they are all basically movies/books that you just control, nothing too fancy or wow inducing. I’m sure they are wonderful though

Hey! Great video. I keep searching for more games like this and, although i only didn't know Vane and Blackwood Crossing (which look very interesting), this is by far the best hidden gems list i saw on youtube. I also really enjoyed your commentary. I would also recommend games like "Torn away", "Killer Frequency", "The Beginner's Guide", and "Twelve minutes". Subscribed.
I'm not gonna lie man...my gamer pallete has not developed enough for these slow, narrative games. I need the chicken tenders i can't do the ceviche just yet 😂
Very brave list 👍🏻 You are putting your reputation on the line with these offbeat gems! I liked the pov you bring but not all may feel the same way. But again maybe that's why your content has vibe 🎉
I still have to ask, just how is your channel so low subbed despite actually recommending great, diverse and pretty unknown games unlike most channels.
Red Dead 2...every damn list almost. Act Man got little mist in hes eyes when end credits starts to roll. LoL. This list is 4 more mature players, i think. Very good list and some games i havent even played. Im not saying Act Dude aint mature, but didnt got mist on my eyes. Ok RDR2 every 10/10 lists at least and i get it. For me personally , nah 8.5/10...Blasphemy! What ever
They're all 7/10 games or more well known than you think, that's why you don't get subscribers. An unknown game carries little weight if it's always the same genre or not that great beyond a single playthrough. Also a few games in this list is like on every indie game list.
Going by your recent excellent videos, we are talking the same gaming fun language... just this video alone speaks to me directly, as i have played 17 of the 20, which just means, by your lovely recommendations, i should just purchase and play those remaining few, knowing i will enjoy them as much as the other 17 on your well curated selection I have been gaming since day one (Acorn, BBC micro, Spectrum, Amstrad, Amiga, iBM compatibles, etc) and I still do not understand why so many consider gaming a small humans thing (children), yet happy to sit in front of screen for hours, absorbing content without moving a muscle (brain including) and say things like... gaming is too silly, for kids, is too violent, no time for games, is for nerds, can not game with my partner, gaming is too complicated, etc... yet we all know (everyone watching your fun content) it is 'mostly' none off the above, as it can be violent, complicated, nerdy if you want it to be, but like films, TV series, books, etc, it does not have to be, and your selection today proves that, with still hundreds of thousands more to choose from... and we have not even mention VR, which is a whole new amazing experience in its self and slowly becoming accessible enough to have local coop VR gaming (not just online) Anywho, don't want to moan or add negatives to you fun inspiring videos, just reminds me of the negatives i hear often... especially being an old gamer in East London, who 20+ years on, is still looking for local fun'lovin'gamers that actually game frequently too and not just the typical violent rubbish, but games with emotions, depth, intelligence, scares, comedy, sadness... all just like a great book/film... but as a shared interactive experience Yep... your video made me think all that and then some

I love your channel, because you showcase games that are not on the typical lists. Excellent Indie gems that should be visited by many more gamers.
Glad you like them! ☺️

Great video as always. I need Wolf Among Us 2!! I was legit talking about it this morning and then you post this 😂😂
...me too
It has been delayed for so long now (since 2023), but a mid-2025 release looks promising (currently)

*Road 96 was amazing 👌 we need more games like it* 👍
…some games I never heard of before, will definitively check. Besides, I love Kentucky Route Zero. Thanks a lot, subscribed.

Holy hell these are the type of games I was looking for. After playing firewatch, what Remains of Edith Finch and before your eyes
Try "The Invencible"
aside from wolf among us, solid list. I think thats well known

Because despite the content, it's just another game lists channel...there are tons of those.
Great🍾 🔥🔥🔥

Wow. Suicide Of Rachel Foster On List. I Love This Game !!! So Thrilling
alot of these are heavy on the "narrative" side.
maybe sets up a "best of narrative/casual games" list???
Very unique liat bruh
These aren't games they're interactive cartoons
Yeah. Ur roomie in Wolf Among when u first meet that Pig, sympathy levels go high! If u dont give that pig a drink of ur booze, ur heartless!💔
❤️❤️
No pathologic 2?
I already mentioned it on my other videos. I don't want to repeat the same game over and over again 😅
@@kryptomac101 It's cool to see a creator rejecting the milking ☺️

All Narration & Dialogue No Gameplay element 😕
These are all goyslop trash. I guess it's back to Hollow knight , castlevania and From Soft games.
