I... I really dunno how... only heard Adam sing for the first time in March of 2021!! I cannot believe how I missed this guy my mum is a massive queen fan but refuses to even listen to this guy sing! I am mystified as for her reasoning behind this choice as other than she thinks she cheating on Freddie by allowing 'a another' sing his songs..
I literally stumbled by accident, and found the battle between adam and James corden as best lead for Queen on his late late show from way back and it blew me away! Now 5-6 weeks later I have, by the power of you tube gone, back way back to 2009's season of idol, winging my way through every possible adam lambert snippet and obviously his music both solo and with Queen.. his voice is amazing, he is a genuine, gracious, lovely, all around guy.. his philanthropy is inspiring!! I cannot think of a reason to dislike this guy.. we have been gifted something so special in Adam Lambert a truly beautiful human being.. ❤

I have been a fan of his for the past decade, he still gives me the same feeling he did the first time I heard him. Had the pleasure of seeing him live 9 times, three times solo and six times with Queen. He is one of those rare artists that sounds even more increadible live than in recordings, when this corona shit is over I recommend you see him live. He is funny too, love him to bits ❤️
I'm a big Adam Lambert fan since his AI audition and I envy the likes of you who've seen him many times, seeing him perform live would be a tick on my bucket list 😊
@@MsMircon there was a time I thought I’d never see him live because I didn’t think he’d come to my country (Norway). I’ve seen him twize here now, 4 times in England and once in the US. Other people have their hobbies, he is mine 😉 I have also made international friends thanks to him and his voice 🥰 I hope you get a chance to see and hear him live. He has an increadible stage presence, is a great performer and so much fun!

I've loved Adam Lambert since American Idol and I was lucky enough to see him here in Perth , Western Australia with Queen just before Covid hit, he was AMAZING AND FABULOUS ❤

Cher is classic. Adam singing Cher is amazing. His voice gives me goose bumps. You just have to listen to it over and over - it is so powerful. WOW. And he rocks in Queen. I love FM, and I love AL. Both are incredible artists in their own ways

How to bring the maximum emotion out of the simplest of lyric. Adam is a master at at getting inside the lyric of a ballad. No one is better at it.

I love that you had the de astonished look on your face that Cher had when Adam hit that high note. Did you know + he told us in an interview he was really jet lagged when he did that performance. He is so talented - can sing any genre - always immaculate technique. Did you know he even dang country, filling in for Little Big Town on "I've Got A Girl Crush" and was nominated for an award. Adam is a busy man - just recently a guest on the ALW "Cinderella" album

I love ❤️ Adam and Freddie! What Adam did so beautifully was take a up beat song turned it into a ballad and got to the emotional raw lyrics of the song! Than he just slowly builds through out the song and he always makes a song his own and the arrangement of this song is just beautiful done, Cher was loving what Adam was doing, he truly did justice to her song and honored her in such a great way! I brought his version of Believe on ITunes! He got a standing ovation at the end and it was so deserved!

you may not know this but less than 24 hours prior to this he was performing on the Strictly Come Dancing finale in the UK!!! He jetted to New York and then did this, he is simply astonishing.

He is special and underated. Love his talent.
By slowing it down he speaks the words right to your heart. I always get teary eyes at "I don't need you anymore". And, you're right: Cher's original is more upbeat and celebratory of the after-a-breakup while Adam's version is like an acceptance and a moving-on state of mind. Adam Lambert is incredible, I love every bit of this performance. It doesn't hurt that he's so gorgeous too. Thanks for your reaction.

I completely agree about Adam's version coming across as reliving a moment of heartbreak in life. The first time I remember getting that feeling with one of his covers was If I Can't Have You and of his originals, Can't Let You Go and Threre I Said It.
A uniquely emotive, powerful, rangeful and versatile voice in this generation and so fitting to fill the huge boots of the late great Freddie.

I read somewhere on the original video, someone mentioned his “I don’t need you anymore” x4 is similar to stages of grief. The emotional changes with each time he sang it. It is crazy emotional and healing, love this performance.
Adam Lambert is a vocal masterclass and he connects with the song so well, he hit the D5 perfectly at the end but he can hit higher notes on key! and can sustain notes with power with his almost perfect breath control, and another thing hes got good vocal resonance, even without a mic he could probably still be heard lol. loved it. Hope you do more of his stuff he also sings with Queen :)

I'm a HUGE Adam Lambert fan and a HUGE queen fan 😁 I prefer this version over Cher's....he is doing tremendous with Queen..he does get bashed so much..very underrated..but as Roger Taylor said... There's no other voice on the planet that can outsing Adam😎

Awwwwww It was so lovely seeing you react to this, all I could think of is " Yes, YOU GET IT" I have listened to this and watched it LOADS of times and still, I get goosebumps watching it. The tone of his vouce, so smooth, so gentle but like you say, the transition from one style to another was spotless. I wish Adam got more credit for the performer that he is. I have loved him since i saw him perform Black or White on American Idol and I was HOOKED. He gets a lot of flack as gets compared to Freddie Mercury, something that comes with the role he is in I guess. But I wish his solo work got more exposure. I hope one day to meet him, to talk to him about his journey, I guess interview him. Such a huge inspiration to me and one amazing human being. And anyone who knows me has heard me rave about him for over 10 years now. Going to listen to this again now . Thank you!! ( Natalie in Wrexham N Wales)

I like Cher but don’t necessarily listen to her per se as an artist and never cared for this song. I happened to see a clip of something that had the ending of Adam’s version playing and was so taken by the beauty of this completely different rendition that I had to go and watch the Kennedy Center clip. I have listened to it so many times. I still can’t believe how moved I am by this version. It’s stunning. It’s beautiful. His talent is endless. Just, wow. I love that music has always had and still has this effect on me. I love that Cher was also so moved and appreciated him enough to allow his release of the rearrangement. She is a true musician.
