@@pholanbasson8613 yeah I feel bad for Bret. I watched the video in slow motion of Goldberg when Goldberg kicked Bret and Goldberg looked at Bret while he made the kick and Brett had his arm up against his face just in time but the way it happened somehow it still affected his career. You can see in the video that Goldberg didn't mean to end his career. All wrestlers in the business knows the risks when they get into the ring they have to sign contracts and it could be injury but that's the reason why so important that wrestlers keep on practicing. I think one of the most toughest wrestlers and one of the most injured wrestlers in my opinion has to be Mick Foley his other name is Mr Saco. I still remember the day when he was wrestling undertaker and undertaker knew that he was injured but Mick Foley kept on getting up put on top of that all the tax that he had on his back and the tooth that undertaker knocked out of Mick Foley's face.
Goldberg kept WCW going right when they needed that shot in the arm. He postponed their demise atleast a year. Also im so tired of the Bret Hart BS. Bret had absolutely no idea when he got a concussion.
I'm glad I'm not the only one. The video started and I wasn't looking, just listening. As soon as Bully started talking I quick looked wondering why Paul was talking.
I listened live today on show and really enjoyed the interview. I just seen the thumbnail and with the way the camera is set up with those lights in Bill's garage (what an insane garage by the way) looked like wings coming out the side of Bill's head. 😅
So I have not watched wrestling since probably 2003.. When I graduated high school.. But I been getting cool clips from the 90s.. Then I found the WCW doc today... And omg I'm so nostalgic for 90s wrestling now...

I want to hear bully Ray say Brock Lesnar like Paul Heyman did. The voices are similar 😂 Dudley's and Hardy boys in any match together was an instant classic. TLC WrestleMania 17 I watch that match a few times a year. Goldberg vs DDP in WCW was great as well. Bill has always been humble and I respect that a ton. Same with Bully Ray.
I met him at Carlisle after his run in the early 00's with wwe and to this day to me he is the most down to earth celebrity i have ever met. I cherish the pic of him and I and the tshirt I had him sign. He is such a good dude
It wasn't the kick that started it. Stevie Richards did an analysis where I think he stated Bret told Goldberg before the match to hold onto him for the figure 4 on the ring post and he didn't, and Bret's head hit the concrete when he fell back. If that's what happened I'd like to see him admit to that. If you forgot in the heat of the moment that's fine, I just would like to know the truth.
@@bobjimmy1539Yeah but Bret knew he was hurt after the match with Goldberg. Maybe not the extent of HOW hurt he was but he knew. He very easily could have taken a little time to recuperate. his match with nash on nitro nash was slamming his head into turnbuckle all match. also i guess bret never hit someone by accident in his entire career lol bret is a whiny bitch who takes himself waaaaaaaayyy to seriously and thinks he was a bigger star than he actually was

Hell Big E doesn’t talk shit on ridge for effectively ending his career. Idk he isn’t gonna give you fake niceties, but Goldberg seems like a genuine dude which is rare in the business. Not sure if he ever was an issue other than working stiff, but seems fine to me.
Nice Coronet behind Goldberg. One of me & my dads fav wrestler growing up as a kid. Even remember seeing him return vs Matt Hardy @ Nassau Coliseium in ‘04. Wasnt a fan of latter part of his run because Vince having him bury the Fiend etc but yeah.
I dislike Goldberg for ending Bret career unforgivable and he is correct he shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame if he had any remorse he would have quit the business out of respect
Very humble and honest man. Would be cool to have him wrestle Cody for the title at Wrestlemainia but push Goldberg to his limit to make it the longest match for him ever and retire. That would be a great story on his part win or lose. Then we can have that Rock vs Roman Reins on top of that to see which main event was better.
Goldberg takes a lot of heat but he was really thrust into the ring. Keep in mind, all of the guys he mentioned had tons of training and had YEARS of working their way up though the various territories under their belt. Was this any different than what happened to David Flair around the same time?
I wonder if Goldberg ever unblocked Matt Riddle on Twitter. I know they didn't like each other, for the longest time & if I remember something I heard Jason "The Solomonster" Solomon say on an episode of his 'The Solomonster Sounds Off' podcast, the 2 of them have seemed to have patched things up...
First Time Ever Match!! TNA 2024!! Goldberg vs Rhyno!! The Spear vs The Gore!! A Former WCW World Heavyweight Champion vs A Former ECW World Heavyweight Champion!!
Goldberg is awesome! I didn’t know him when he played in the NFL, but he is a WCW/WWE Superstar Superhero. Goldberg is a standup decent guy and a great role model to look up to.👍🏽👏🏽🙌🏽😊
Scott Hall and Kevin Nash fucked with Goldberg so much, and it's clear in this match that Scott was fucking with him, on purpose, to screw up the match. Big difference in personalities, yet the smart marks watched a "shoot" interview that shaped their opinion.
I think Bret revealed in an interview that he lost money on potential deals after the incident with Goldberg. He likely won’t get over it until Goldberg writes him a check. I think if not Goldberg, it would have been someone else. Goldberg wrestled a lot of guys, did he injure anyone? Just might have been wrong place wrong time. If Bret is going to blame Goldberg for ending his career, he probably should have stayed in WWE.
Perfect opponent for Goldberg’s last match for me would Be Bron Breakker History with his dad and uncle, can elevate Breakker with a build up and a win for Bron would do so much Passing of the torch… spear for spear
Always found Goldberg to be a likable guy, unlike Bret hart. Goldberg should not give that senile old man the time of day by constantly apologizing. It’s embarrassing for Bret
So glad to hear someone else say this. This does not get talked about nowhere near enough. Goldberg gave Bret the concussion but Bret ended Bret's career by continuing to wrestle for about another month
@warrenhunte7890 Bret Wrestled 2900+ matches before Goldberg think how many concussions you get in those matches. Bret hart was Ready to retire in 1996 his own words per his documentary. I honestly think Bret Just wanted out. and he has buyers remorse on his Lloyd's Of London Policy
Bret should be over it by now… it was an accident. And it was 100 percent not the only concussion he ever got.. Bret also is a bit more bitter and anger due to other things that have happened to him such has his brother passing and I’m sure his family life isn’t great. Guy also had a brutal stroke which more than likely altered his brain causing him to have no filter the way that he does with the whole Goldberg thing…
About that what killed WCW. Listen to the bobby Heenan shoot interview. He talks about what happened. He said guys were making $500,000 a year who had no business making that much money. Also ending Goldbergs streak. 200 people lost their jobs after that. It was great for Goldberg to be winning. It gave wrestling fans something to talk about. Bill had the look and they let him get defeated to hurt him. He should have not lost at that time. They had no plans after that.
I will also add people should see the Stevie Richards break down of the match. Bret was already concussed before the kick and I wonder if Bill has seen that video from Stevie and get a reaction from him. Also the busted open crew. Beets head wasn't in the game when the kick came.
Brets my favorite of all time, but he had a glass skull by 40 in '98... He is riddled with CTE for sure from a long career. I saw others take that same kick to the head. I would blame booking and management.
The Dudley boys where awesome both great athletes hell of a tag team.i thought Goldberg had a heck of a career to yeah he didn't always wanna be a wrestler but he made a HUGE mark on the business
Goldberg gets to much hate for him not knowing stuff in wcw people forget they throw him out there and told him he was doing everything correct. It seems like instead of talent trying to help they just hated on him for his push. The Goldberg hate has to end
Goldberg didn't meant to end Bret career there's going to be things that's going to happen in professional wrestling and Goldberg made a mistake but also they signed contracts just in case people get hurt so we know how wrestling goes every wrestler has to sign a contract in that contract it states about different injuries that could happen. Goldberg is one of my favorite wrestlers when I was a kid probably my number one favorite wrestler of all time except hulk Hogan. I can tell Goldberg changed a little bit in his life back then when he wrestled he didn't care too much about wrestling but he had to do it to make money and when he got older he started realizing that his love of wrestling he really did love it...✍️✝️🇺🇸
It’s my dream to meet Goldberg an I was promised by someone who works at a wheelchair place saying they could make it happen 😭 yep it’s sad I’m just a poor guy in a wheelchair wishing to have met him.
Goldberg vs Booker T for his last match. Who doesn't want a spinaroonie in their last match they are similar ages around same weight and height and Booker has said he wouldn't mind a few more matches if the right situation came along. I think it should happen outside of WWE just a single promotion in India or Saudi so no hoopla to go thru. A good suprise would be to make sting or ddp as suprise guest referee and since jerry lawler just got out of his WWE deal as of a few months ago he could be the guest announcer seeing if all these people are still healthy by the time Bill gets healthy again! I could see it for summer 2025 Bring back the traps 1 more time OG 💪
Irrelevant and doesn’t change anything . In Bret’s book he said he heard Bill say “watch the kick “ he heard Him late. Bill carefully talks about “killing “ wrestlers if he runs into them but avoids mentioning the Jericho fight and how that ended.
In the whole Bret / Goldberg I've always sympathized with both sides. It's a shitty situation to be in. However, Bret has allowed his hate to drag on for too long just because Bill ended up reviving his career and making a lot of money out of it. That to me is just petty. Since that incident numerous wrestlers have botched moves that led to their opponents being permanently injured and retired from wrestling, yet none of them is blamed or called unsafe the same way Goldberg is. I get it, that superkick was a mistake, but if you compare that with what Ryback infamously did to Punk almost a decade ago, then there is no comparison really.

Seeing Goldberg lose to Bron Breakker would be awesome.
Seeing him getting jabroned to Goldberg would be better
Passing of the spear torch.
Thats not gonna work for me brother! 😂
I need him to let Bron use the Jackhammer. That’s all I need
Bron is a bitch compared to goldberg in his prime,
I met Bret Hart in 1999. I was only a kid. All I remember how HUGE and jacked Bret was. The nicest wrestler I ever met. Him and Jerry Lawler.
bill goldberg is a great man. all the charity work he has done with kids over the last 25 years is incredible
Goldberg kept WCW going right when they needed that shot in the arm. He postponed their demise atleast a year. Also im so tired of the Bret Hart BS. Bret had absolutely no idea when he got a concussion.
Bubba Ray and Paul Heyman sound the same 💀
I'm glad I'm not the only one. The video started and I wasn't looking, just listening. As soon as Bully started talking I quick looked wondering why Paul was talking.
@@brentjmichael LMFAO, same here bro.
New York accent
I thought the exact same thing when he started speaking .
Bron Breakker vs Goldberg would be a full circle moment for him as he mentioned how the Steiner Brothers helped him in his career.
Goldberg is cool with me
The only ppl that doesn’t like him is the nerdy IWC because he doesn’t flip all over the place
Goldberg in his prime would've been unbeatable today
Yep! hard damn facts!!!
Goldberg Is a prime example of right time and place. 💯
i feel like he says he dont deserve it because he wasnt the type of wrestler that grew up with wrestling but at least he had a great career and he feels bad about bret hart and the kick which i know he apologize for time and time again mistakes happen feel sorry for both bret and goldberg still respect both goldberg and bret for the memories
Frfr Goldberg was my first favorite wrestler. I thank him for the memories and making me a wrestling fan🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Love Goldberg and his run in WCW. Vince did him a little dirty in WWE. I'd love to see his workouts and how he stays in great shape.
GOLDBERG IS GOOD IN MY BOOK.
He's the only reason I knew about wcw as a kid.
You didn't end brets career he wrestled after that match
Never the same after that and cost him 16 mil
@@bobjimmy1539Yeah but Bret knew he was hurt after the match with Goldberg. Maybe not the extent of HOW hurt he was but he knew. He very easily could have taken a little time to recuperate. He chose not to. To this day Bret puts 100% of his following health issues on one match. And that's just not the case.
his match with nash on nitro nash was slamming his head into turnbuckle all match. also i guess bret never hit someone by accident in his entire career lol bret is a whiny bitch who takes himself waaaaaaaayyy to seriously and thinks he was a bigger star than he actually was
Bret is just a bitter baby. Everything is never his fault. Dude put ppl to sleep on promos. It's not a coincidence that what ever show Bret was headlining was losing the ratings war. No one cared to hear his whining and marking.
@@nick56677Yep. Austin wasn’t bitter with Owen when he got injured. Brock broke Kurt’s neck TWICE and he doesn’t talk shit like this.
ONE OF MY FAVORITES💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿👊🏿👊🏿
He's trash
Maybe the indifference..and lack of compassion for what Bill did to Bret is the problem.
Universe Mode Past Present Future
I dislike Goldberg for ending Bret career unforgivable and he is correct he shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame if he had any remorse he would have quit the business out of respect
The difference in character between someone who lived in the real world and some coddled nepotism wrestling baby like Bart Hurt speaks volumes.
Ted Turner had little power by that point. Being out of the country meant 0.
Goldberg is very humble in his older age, loved him as a kid.
I thought this was Mike from breaking bad
Maintaining his physique. Glad to see him here!
Goldberg takes a lot of heat but he was really thrust into the ring. Keep in mind, all of the guys he mentioned had tons of training and had YEARS of working their way up though the various territories under their belt. Was this any different than what happened to David Flair around the same time?
Goldberg and Bret heart my wrestlers back then
i WANT BULLY RAY IN WWE! NOW IS THE TIME!
Goldberg Goldberg Goldberg
This made me love Goldberg actually. I never was a huge fan and he’s definitely a polarizing figure but this man is just grounded and truthful
GOLDBERG SO AWESOME ON BUSTED OPEN PODCAST !!!
Goldberg needs his retirement match. Bron Breakker Vs Goldberg at WrestleMania for the I.C. Heavyweight title in a Career Vs Title match.
Goldberg is awesome! I didn’t know him when he played in the NFL, but he is a WCW/WWE Superstar Superhero. Goldberg is a standup decent guy and a great role model to look up to.👍🏽👏🏽🙌🏽😊
22:10
Perfect opponent for Goldberg’s last match for me would Be Bron Breakker
History with his dad and uncle, can elevate Breakker with a build up and a win for Bron would do so much
Passing of the torch…
spear for spear
What a body Goldberg sir have.Lots of love and respect from Bangalore.🧄🧄🧄🧄🧄🧄🧄🧄🧄🧄🧄
Always found Goldberg to be a likable guy, unlike Bret hart. Goldberg should not give that senile old man the time of day by constantly apologizing. It’s embarrassing for Bret
If he's senile it's because of Goldberg...
Bret wrestled 9 more matches after Goldberg, Bret Contributed more to the end Of Brets career than anyone else
and bret paved the way eventually for Daniel bryan.
Bret screwed Bret constantly
Goldberg is amazing to listen to. He's a cool dude
I would love to see Bill back for one last match at WrestleMania with a good opponent! He is just iconic his presence is iconic!!
Nice interview
That kick from Goldberg can’t be any worse than a kick from Cro Cop.
Time Warner is to blame
My dream Goldberg retirement match would be vs Braun Breaker!
33:24 lol goldbergs thinking "who the fuck is cody rhodes?"😂😂
Beets head wasn't in the game when the kick came.
probably he still feel guilty on what have happened to Bret
Brets my favorite of all time, but he had a glass skull by 40 in '98... He is riddled with CTE for sure from a long career. I saw others take that same kick to the head. I would blame booking and management.
The Dudley boys where awesome both great athletes hell of a tag team.i thought Goldberg had a heck of a career to yeah he didn't always wanna be a wrestler but he made a HUGE mark on the business
Gage Goldberg will be training with Cody Rhoades within 2 years just watch
Not a Goldberg fanboy but I agree with him about the Bret Hart heat it needs to be squashed already
I kinda understand where Goldberg was coming from when he said he didn't know what he was doing.... How could he?
My favorite wrestler ❤
Goldberg gets to much hate for him not knowing stuff in wcw people forget they throw him out there and told him he was doing everything correct. It seems like instead of talent trying to help they just hated on him for his push. The Goldberg hate has to end
Must have been hard on goldberg when he talked to fans and had to pretend he loved wrestling as much as they did. I respect Bill for his honesty
Nice! Bill Goldberg looking sharp as always and top fit
Jesus Christ, Goldberg Still A Beast.
01 vs 01 02 vs 02 03 vs 03 04 vs 04 Past Present Future
Bron Breaker is a great option Bill, cause it also helps out Scottie Steiner
In Bret’s book he said he heard Bill say “watch the kick “ he heard
Him late.
He looks incredible
God I’d love to see Goldberg and MJF be a tag team.
Who's MJF?
Rock vs Goldberg at Mania, YES
