      Its hard to tell if he's understands he isnt the best wrestler, yet a Hall of Famer. Or he thinks hes the 'absolute killing machine GOAT' he was portrayed as.

    Personally I sympathize with Goldberg. How many times can you apologize for an honest mistake before you're done apologizing? It's also not like it was Goldbergs choice to be booked into a match with Bret. He was just doing his job.
    Plus, Bret is always quick to blame Goldberg, but he's also quick to forget that he chose to wrestle several matches after the concussion. Including a hardcore match with Terry Funk.

    • @lambyUK2007
      @lambyUK2007 2 месяца назад

      Of course he wrestled after it. He was contracted to do as the concussion he sustained wasn't properly diagnosed. The simple fact is Bill's negligence caused it, irrespective of what Bret did afterwards.

    Bret is the best, and I understand how angry he is, and has a right to be. But Bill was a fan of Bret's. Can you imagine the guilt of accidently ending Bret Hart's career? In a strange way, that accident may have ultimately saved Bret's life. He's the only one of the 97 Hart Foundation still alive! Sure, he had some tough times, but he's still around, healthy, happy, with great stories to tell. I know Bret would NEVER understand my point, but I've always had this strange feeling that Bret being forced to retire early...idk I'm just glad Bret is still around. Bret can forgive Shawn and Vince, who did stuff to him purposefully. What Bill did was a heartbreaking accident. I just think the world of Bret.

      I LEFT MY OWN COMMENTS HERE BUT I WANTED TO SAY SOMETHING. GOLDBERG IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE WRESTLERS OF ALL TIME EXCEPT HULK HOGAN. GOLDBERG DIDN'T MEAN TO END BRET CAREER. HE DIDN'T DO IT ON PURPOSE AND THERE'S GOING TO THE THINGS THAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN IN PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING. WHEN WRESTLERS GO INTO THE RING THEY HAVE TO SIGN A CONTRACT AND IN THAT CONTRACT IT STATES THAT IT COULD BE INJURIES. BUT THIS IS THE REASON WHY WRESTLERS PRACTICE BEFORE THEY REALLY GET OUT THERE ON THE RING OVER 25,000 PEOPLE OR MORE. You can see in the video that Goldberg didn't mean to end his career. All wrestlers in the business knows the risks when they get into the ring they have to sign contracts and it could be injury but that's the reason why so important that wrestlers keep on practicing. I think one of the most toughest wrestlers and one of the most injured wrestlers in my opinion has to be Mick Foley his other name is Mr Saco. I still remember the day when he was wrestling undertaker and undertaker knew that he was injured but Mick Foley kept on getting up put on top of that all the tax that he had on his back and the tooth that undertaker knocked out of Mick Foley's face.

I think it should happen outside of WWE just a single promotion in India or Saudi so no hoopla to go thru. A good suprise would be to make sting or ddp as suprise guest referee and since jerry lawler just got out of his WWE deal as of a few months ago he could be the guest announcer seeing if all these people are still healthy by the time Bill gets healthy again! I loved Bret and Goldberg it was a freaking accident. Look at all the wrestlers just this past year that got injured, Seth, Rhea, etc accidents happen. Goldberg told Bret the kick was coming what more could he have done?

  • @Bandana_Boi
    @Bandana_Boi 3 месяца назад +2

    Goldberg ends Bret's career, costing him millions. Concussion was so bad it was a precursor to Bret's stroke in 2002, which left him paralyzed for months. "Get over it." C'mon man..
    Did Goldberg do the right thing in '99 and make good on his catastrophic mistake? Or did he just apologize through the media all these years later after Bret went public with his disgust for Goldberg?
    Bottom line is Goldberg kicked Bret's head off, effectively ending his career. The fact it never made Goldberg lose sleep says a lot.
    Also, saying you gave Bret a heads up is almost worse in my mind. Bret thought a worked kick was coming, fed you his face & you for-a-shoot kicked his goddamn head off. If you can't do it right, don't fuckin' do it, man.
    Goldberg doesn't get that because he's a football geek. He never watched wrestling and has no idea what it's all about. Still doesnt.
    And the injuries didn't start or stop with Bret Hart. It's one thing if Bill had one incredibly bad- luck accident. But he didn't. He hurt guys over & over & over.
    Guys like Bill Goldberg are so dangerous because they truly believe they're as badass as they look or portrayed on TV.

      @crane7472 3 месяца назад +1

      1.Goldberg has apologized multiple times to Bret. It's Bret who can't let it go and understand that it was an accident, which happens in this type of business. Now, who's career did Bill end after Bret? No ones. And 2, Chris ran after headlocking Bill for a few seconds because he knew Bill was gonna obliterate him. Chris has admitted this in multiple interviews. Bret would've gotten rocked and would have lost more than his career. Stay mad chump

Goldberg just wanted fame , a pay cheque and he got it.

Brett was juiced to the gils for years and it was obvious.I wish goldberg would sue him for defamation.. I saw the kick his knee was bent maybe a little stiff but stroke worthy i doubt it...

    • @cryptocon.
      @cryptocon. 3 месяца назад +2

      You touch on a pretty important point and possibly why Hart is so intent on keeping the blame alive...
      (He has a suit looming over his head to return the money, and if not for that prospect: he says that he would be able to wrestle, again... Which in the least; I would imagine: likely lead to the animosity Bret has towards Goldberg.)
      However, He wasn't the first or only one to have ever suffered such an injury; it didn't have to end his career... He actually says in his own book:

      “People with concussions are the last ones to figure out how badly hurt they are. I was more responsible than anyone for downplaying my condition to myself and everyone else. Somewhere inside me, a fearful voice cried out that I was seriously hurt, but that same voice warned me to quit listening to my brain because it was my brain itself that was damaged. So I let myself go on believing that the problem was a sore neck.”
      (He did not hold Goldberg responsible; it never even crossed his mind... He knew Goldberg's experience, or lack thereof. He didn't feel like he was hurt by Goldberg during the match they had on the following night, on Nitro... He did however say that he struggled to get to his hotel room on the night of the PPV; following the match at Starrcade. Though he also said he actually sustain another concussion, during his final match; once he was powerbombed by Sid Vicious, in where his vision filled with the silver color of solder (His own words)...)

      So, He knew he was hurt, but hid it from everybody; never seeking medical, even though he knows he should have, and continued to wrestle for weeks, anyway (including/continuing to receive impactful chair shots, directly to the head, amongst other dangerous spots) and by coincidence, in a checkup on his neck: he was informed that he had suffered a severe concussion (So, effectively had ignored the concussion he felt he had sustained from the powerbomb, meaning he probably would still have continued wrestling, regardless; if not for the diagnosis received during that checkup)...

      To be petty: Bret has even suggested during an interview when he is seen showing emotion, that it too, is due to the stroke he suffered, which he blames on the concussion, that is blamed on the kick by Goldberg. (As if before it, he wasn't even human.)

      Bret could have just gotten himself checked out, taken time off to recover and still continued receiving $150,000 - $250,000 (amounts based on his own past claims) per week, anyway.
      When will he publicly take some actual responsibility and accountability for his own actions and decisions; which he seems to forget: he was actually able to humbly admit fault for, in his own words; in his own autobiography and in past interviews... (What changed? It seems this all stems from the Lloyd's of London settlement conditions...)

      It appears Goldberg did not end Hart's career; Bret did... (Ask Austin if sometimes, (despite explicitly telling your opponent not to), life altering mistakes still occur; it is a part of the business...)
      Also, what might actually be a missed controversy here, is: Goldberg admitting he sustained a completely torn rotator cuff, and told absolutely no one (presumably, till now, based on his comments within this interview), meaning not even when going into the wrestling match with the Undertaker; which could potentially be the cause, if not simply attributing to the failed Jackhammer, which could have killed the Undertaker... (Not to say that it actually is in fact the cause or an attribution... We'll never know.)
      P.S: Appreciate your channel and interviews, and thank you for your own contributions in this space..

Breakker has the spear of young Goldberg, combined with his dad's and uncle's other inring abilities and being uncontrollable. As a long time Goldberg fan, I would be ok with it. And Goldberg wants a retirement match.
