If you have Alchemist you are supposed to use ultimate as soon is it out of cd, also usually you should wait on 3rd lvl and raise 2 skills as soon as you get 4th lvl
also units upgrades are great here, they are dirt cheap at first and very useful

Footy 4.2 all random was the BEST footy. Used to play it all the time back in the days.

Hello Grubby, you should give a try to custom hero footies, it's obviously less popular but it's honestly way more interesting, you would be stunned by the micro possibilities. If you see any guy named "Firness" tell him hello, he'd be glad to teach you basics :)

That's the thing about war3 customs. You really wanna play, but after one game you remember how Imba it is even with the best of community plays like this game where there's no leavers/droppers etc, and after the games finished you don't really wanna play again for another few weeks/months haha
My old name was, RingOfJ33bus. I think my favorite hero was alchemist and beast master a close second.
Next try heaven vs hell, or molten core if they still have it. I used to play a lot of custom maps when I was 10 years old, so it's nice to bring back memories cheers grubs!
You can zoom out btw, makes it way easier to play

If this game played in my country then after first wave attacking you almost see no footman left in the map. All of them are killed by tower. So enemy hero can’t get level up.

Why are you not using your ultimate constantly? At least in the beginning, you can stay near the middle for mana and just spam it

Yeah, this game is pretty unbalanced in several ways, but the fact is that you're going to struggle in any game if you haven't got much experience with it. A lot of things could've been done differently here, but that's just the stuff you learn as you go along.

This is the broken version if I'm not mistaken.
You were winning for first 10 mins or so, at the point you had militia you probably could have killed everyone if you upgraded them, your ally had strong vamp and endurance aura. In the end the enemies eith more footies experience won by maximizing their hero skills.
This game is not so much about micro, There is pretty much just a few basic strats that everyone who knows the game use constantly: selling boots and buying scroll in the beginning to get gold, get rifleman and max attack, after that it's becomes a death squad, running around and oneshotting mobs, a lot of heroes are unbalanced and too op, basicly assassins who just run around without footmans and kill weak heroes, which is hard to deal with, you have to always carry some form of potion to protect yourself against them, a lot has good aoe skills which allows them to grab a lot of money by throwing one spell on the battlefield. A game is pretty fun if you get to know it better.
Grubby had a lot of problems because he was upgrading his units carelessly without even looking at their stats and focusing on hero, but even then he neglected transmute, which is the best spell, because this game is all about making money the fastest and making your units deadlier.
bad map is a bad map, don't have to say much. i remember the old version of footies about 10 years ago where the game only have basic hero of wc3 and some normal item.

Haha grubby just upgrading his shit randomly with no strategy or goal in mind. IMO he should have stopped at riflemen and then just upgrade their attack and defence, since breakers looked like they still took dmg from hero spells. The. I would have also upgraded my hero to fast attack and high dmg to go with acid bomb and rage and to hero focus.. And also higher hp/armour so don't get one shotted by the BM with +200 dmg..

Grubby also way too casual about this game, in later stages you will get one shotted by hero or by army focus, you gotta be ready or else you'll just be going OHHH! after you die because you ran in vs an army alone with your melee hero who was completely unstacked in the late game.. Lol. Can't believe how many times you died completely unaware and only realised it after you already died lol
And units are good, you just went all over the place and didn't invest your money wisely. Should of stopped at rifle and not just feed all your units to others, you should have built tower and killed all your unwanted units.
ex0duzz in later the game become brain dead with unbalance stuff like black knight, stack dam bm... what can he do? thus this is the first time play this version and he rarely play custom map like this. Well can't ask him more.
Simply my personal opinion, but I'd say stay away from custom maps.

This is just so unbalanced and therefore I avoid it... I prefer the normal games in which your actual cognitive skills reflect way better than in footmen. Footmen games are for noobs. You just need to know which items to buy and you must have some luck with your hero abilities.
