I have bought a pair, and I gotta say, I'm hearing parts of familiar songs for the first time very clear now. If only they have a replacement cable for these with a mic. I'd never ever take them out of my pocket if i ever find that. I know they are designed for professionals and using a mic isn't intended but they are so good I want to use them always.
you can use separate mic :)
Sennheiser uses a proprietary design of the mmcx connector
I bought these monitors after watching your vid and couldn't be happier. Thx!
This is so much underrated and incredibly useful for nice and clear presentation. Thumbs up!
just bought it last 2 days!!! it really amaze me when it comes it sounding in your ear!!
I'm amazed in today's technology tbh, to be able to have something that small, sound so huge? It's insane! \,,,/
these are indeed the real deal. amazing is what they are.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Thanks for the review. I think I will get them!,
that was SUPER helpful thanks !
Amazing!
Still cheaper than Apple air pods 🤣
i could bet any money they would sound better
@@anothername8107 cx 300-II are better then airpods. I have both of them.
@@Shurik8668 thanks for confirming
@@anothername8107 airpods are not for music. They are good for videos, podcasts and very easy to use. This is the reason why i do not sell them having sennheiser.
@@anothername8107 i use sennheiser for around a year now, iam so happy with them!
Placed order for IE 40 Pro today :)
I just got one few days ago, , transparent version ,when I listen the sound got very disappointed (not clear) but after I change the ear memory foam , l feel like a from hell to heaven !
..i just knew about Sennheiser and i fell in love with it sounds produces..plus..its prices are cheaper with its sounds qualities if comparing to the other legendary brand...my personal verdict..
As they have decent low end, would these be good for a touring bassists IEM?
I'm trying to maybe use these for video editing, thoughts??
thank you for this nice review can you tell us which one is better in term of sound quality Sennheiser ie40 or Sennheiser momentum true wireless 3
pros: wide soundstage, sparkling highs. cons: very recessed and thin mid range, too much of v sounding, cable wears easily in excess daily use. tuned them by using third party tips (final audio type e) been using them for two years now and i think they are ok for the price
Is that new IEM setup video coming soon?! 😁
Please review the MME in ears I think they are amazing and only £40
They sound way better than the Shure SE215. You can hear every detail with them. And their very clear where the Shure's is muddy sounding.
Just got these today. I’ve had a few really nice IEMs, including Campfire Andromeda, ultimate ears, some customs and multi driver BA ones. These sound really nice. A lot of detail, clarity and balance. Put some Spinfit tips on and I love these. I’ll be using them for live monitoring this weekend and that will be the ultimate test. If these are this good, I’m wondering how good the IE 400 and 500 must sound. Have them on a burn in track now (just in case). I certainly recommend these.
So, do you still like them?
and you still recomend this i40?
these are smooooooooth. butter.
would love to know how these compare to the more expensive IE-400 PROS ? unfortunately the local shop that sells both models wont allow customers to try them out because i guess they would become used items once removed from packaging :(
So would theses be an uprade or downgrade from IE80's(of which the RH speaker has issues) or just a more affordable replacement for much the same sound signature??
Do you think it is the sound of this IEM and Sennheiser Wireless mic is a good combination?
How good are they for actually protecting your ears?
Design-wise, they're pretty similar to the Shure SE215. And I've found that EQ-wise as well, the 215s are very similar as well (the buttery smoothness).
So between the two which would you pick, im assuming their both MMXC so i would be able to use Mee audio cables
@@Feedbach These Sennheiser are way better than the SE215. The SE215's sound muffled to me compared to the ie 40/100 pros.
I need this for my recording
they sound fantastic. blown away by the natural and neutral sound quality. the seal fit in your ear is effortless and they stay locked in the most fantastic way. you can actually feel the bass being delivered as well as hear all of the nuances in the mid, upper mid and there is no sibilance at all even at the loudest levels. basically everything Sennheiser says about these is true. i have Audiofly AF-180's which are great and cost $499 and i'm telling now these are better, especially for a live stage vocalist application. i cannot recommend these highly enough. if you don't get this complete redesign of a single dynamic driver then you are most assuredly missing the boat. the separation and isolation are incredible.
Hi, Chris, in terms of sound signature and tonal balance, How do you compare this with the shure se215? I like the 215's sound signature because its similar to the warm Sennheiser house sound. I love the mids presentation of the shure too. I'm Very interested in this IE40 pro, but there is almost no information about It.
Thanks in Advance.
@@Gatominobaldo i bought them immediately and have never looked back. they easily beat the se215's in every conceivable way. there is no comparison. these things are no joke.
@@ropodope What about durability? I'm looking at the se215 which are well known for it's durability but e40s are pretty under the radar
@@Feedbach they are very durable. well built. they look great, feel great, lock onto your ears in no time flat and they do not stick out. i am absolutely blown away by them. the sound quality is absolutely to die for. i still don't believe they are $99 but since i perform on stage with them every show now I don't see how I could want to use anything else. the only thing cheap about them are the price and that's it.
put it this way, I have and used to use exclusively Audiofly AF-180's which are quite impressive. they cost quite a bit more and now I no longer use them. i still can't believe this is a single dynamic driver. remarkable indeed.
3:08 for the sound review
Would love to see you review kz zst in ears... In my opinion awesome 2 driver in ears for low budget
i have kz zsn pro, nice iem with 2 driver
I bought the westone um 10 pro. Do you think these sennheiser sound better?
It's a good IEM for live applications, which is what it's intended for. But a lot of you might want to purchase it for music listening or maybe to do both. And I gotta say... it's gonna be difficult with the latter.
If you are thinking about listening to music with these, then you're in for treble murder. You can check out the graph at rtings, that confirms this. The cymbals are way too splashy and vocals often time sound too harsh as well. Some songs sounds pretty good, like Would? or Spoonman, but they are notorious for not having a lot of treble. And even with those you might get ear fatigue.
They come with some foam in the ear tips and I tried adding more, like a lot, it kind of worked, but they are still waaay too bright. And I can't say that I'm treble sensitive.
Just my 2 cents, letting you guys know.
How does this compare to ibasso IT01
What studio monitors do you use?
lol..."I was talking loud, wasn't I?"
Do they come with an adaptor to use for interface monitors ? Like the scarlet ?
he said that he has tried the Shures but then seemed to be new to the connection on the Senn, which is the same as the Shure. I don't know I just love my SE215's they sound like my m50. good bass
they are not the same. i've tried 4 different mmcx connectors and none of them work because the connecting point is a bit longer on the Sennheiser connectors making them proprietary. i have no problems with that because the cable design is practically unbreakable. the sound quality, fit and comfort level for the ie40 pro's are unmatched. you either get them and will quickly agree or find a reason to not buy them in which case you're missing the boat, pure and simple.
@@ropodope Perhaps
@@tylerdavisremax The Sennheiser uses a proprietary (and improved) design of the Mmcx connector, it's more secure and rated for more longevity than a regular mmcx connector
I will buy these
the best low cost investment you'll ever make. these blow away so many out there they put them to absolute shame and the cost is ridiculous.
@@ropodope How does the sound signature compare to IE80/S?
@@Aseutester they are nice and warm and yet quite neutral. they are not a bass hog but with that being said there is plenty of it and you can actually "feel" the bass in your ears. very impressive. there is NO sibilance at all in the upper range. the mid range is only very very slightly recessed and very easy to distinguish separation in the mid to upper mid as well as the mid to low mid frequencies. they've done just an absolutely marvelous job with the redesign. a single dynamic driver? wow! very precise. there is no distortion to be heard anywhere. no phasing or dissonance.
How's the sound isolation? Isn't that one of the most important parts?
sound isolation is off the chain. they are absolutely wonderful.
Check out the KZ ZS10s and AS10s, I love my AS10s and even dropped my SHURE 535’s for 2 pairs of them.. saved a ton of money and for the price I feel like they’re nearly unmatched
I’d love to hear your opinion on them
Are there any cables with a mic that work with them?
Any good for classical music?
Good
Have you tried the shure se215? I feel like that would be a pretty interesting comparison.
0:38
there is no comparison. the Sennheiser ie40 pro's absolutely destroy the Shure se 215's 24/7 365.
They sound great, very clear and powerfull..but is a pain when get inserted in ear, they lose the isolation easely, the shape is not that great, even kz stay better in ear. They have also a annoying microphonics with the cable, you cant listen music at low volume, you hear that microphonics above the music..bad because they sound amazing.
@@danmasaj i have never had an isolation issue. selecting the right tips AND don't forget there are two different "notch" points on the iem which will make them go to a different depth inside of your ear. i've used KZ's they def don't stay inside of the ear better in my view. i listen to volume at low level all of the time. it's a shame you are less than thrilled for these $99 iems.
@@ropodope Thanks for answer, i like how the sound , is amazing.I tried all the tips inside but no right for me..i will buy a double or triple flange tips..happy new year.
Would you recommend them to an introduction to/first pair of IEM for the stage ?
absolutely and what you'll quickly discover is that you won't want or need another pair. there is nothing like them. they are unreal.
@@ropodopethank you for your reply and your words towards the In Ears!! Cheers \m/
@@TheSchumi1234567890 It's my pleasure. these things are a sheer JOY to use, especially on a live stage.
I got some of these this pass weekend I played 4 hours in the afternoon and 2 hour show at night . Amazing sound and so comfortable . Sennheiser did it again wonderful Product for the price . They are very small and light weight. That’s what I liked the most . But they pack a huge sound .
Did the clear shell turn yellow after a while?
But how are the bass and sub bass?
What about the sound leakage ?? Would somebody hear your music if they are next to you ??
nope, they are in ears with silicone tips. So next to no sound will escape your ear or through the back of the in ears.
Fluff brought back the old intro music!
Could you please check etymotics?
Is it true that the earbuds pop off easily from the cable? If yes, could this be a problem during walking?
No, it's not the case for me. Mine just works perfectly.
If I plug these into a Sennheiser G3 reciever (mono) will I get signal from both monitors or do I need a different cable?
Yeah. Mono signals play from both earphones. If you want different things in each ear, you can check the Roland CS-10EM in ears which come with separate plugs for L and R.
Is it better than ie8i?
i got it today
how to verify it?
i scran qr & got senneshier offical link
is it 100% orginal
Is this right choice for just listening music from phone? thx
Chibukozoss yes
I'm using it with Samsung Galaxy S4 and it works perfectly fine for me.
What about the noise isolating for drummers?
Was wondering the same thung
Hi everybody. Anyone knows if these are also good for cameraman who is monitoring the sound of his video recording or are good only for artists on stage?
@@RiffsAndBeards thanks for your answer and all your work to produce these informative videos for us to watch and learn! A big bravo, man.
@@videographer-Switzerland Did you buy them?
VSonic GR07 vs IE40 PRO
I WONDER WHO WOULD WIN?!
Vsonic have kicking all earbuds under 100 for a good while...
BurettH321 ie40
The shure se215 has the same connector. Very similar design. Nothing new.
mee audio has same connector
not true. The Shure's use an mmcx connector. these look like the same but they are not. other mmcx connectors cannot be interchanged with these because the connecting point is a good bit longer making them proprietary in a sense. these connectors also are designed to be unbreakable and to easily be released in case they get yanked from a user's ear. i find that to be quite true.
Would you say these would be better than say the ATH-M50x?
yes and a much easier locked in feel to your ears. they are in a word freaking unreal.
"Would you say these would be better than say the ATH-M50x?"
What do you mean "better"? Better sounding? Don't think these In-Ears sound better than the ATH-M50X Over-Ears.
can i use this for music only? like on a mobile or a dap. please reply thanks
Yes, It can be used for music directly in your smartphone, for an example.
Thanks for the info my dude. Im not a musician but i love music a lot. Been a long time fan of sennheiser as well. Thanks again!
@@shnbjss420 how fo you like them?
Coolgamer-Network id like to listen to this just using dap
Are these earphone loud ?
They're not that loud. But they're really clear
IE 60 or these?
Second that question.
The whole time I thought you were going to demonstrate the sound quality with a fake silicon ear and a tiny mic, on a tiny mic stand, to capture the sound coming from the back of the ear
Is the connector mmcx?
No.
butterly = best metallica song
lol what sennheiser did IS the industry standard mmcx connector. That 2 prong shit isn't.
Much better than Apple air pods
只有设计评测?没有音质评测?是否适合于流行乐?是否有别于传统IE60,IE80调音?
Lisa Black Cat fuck u Lisa
Would these able to replace SE425?
Yes.
