I've had my alclair dual xb's and I'm a amazed on the build and sound quality for the price. I use them everyday during school and there seems to be no reduction in sound response
I like this but personally I prefer 64 audio I got the 12t’s 12 drivers and they sound so amazing

RK Audiology in Austin recently got a digital ear canal mapping tool so that your eardrum is saved as a file and not a piece of silicone. I got my ear mapped that way for my westone ears I have coming in.
Great educational/merchandising video! As an aging drummer, protection is paramount. It was an easy decision to order custom IEM‘s. Your video confirmed exactly what I was going to order. Same model and the same colors. We share similar tastes.
same boat Matt - e.g. aging drummer :). I've tried off-the-shelf iems, only to find they don't fit my ears and keep falling out. Think I need customer fitted ones. The price has held me back, but I haven't done a ton of research yet.

Personally I use a pair of Alien Ears g16 IEM's. I find they work well, and with 4 subs, 2 mids and 2 tweeters, the high bass really helps when drumming. They were also affordable (ish) coming in at around $875. It's a good deal, and it works for me

I'm getting the XB dual drivers. I'm not a fan of earphones at all, and I didn't want to spend too much as first "IEM". I'm really curious!!

I would love some custom in ears but I am only 13, so my ears will probably have to grow just a bit more. and also I love your channel, I am a drummer at a lot of places and these headphones would be great for a lot of the churches I play at.
Whatever Vids just start with Shure SE215s until you know what you want. They’re still incredibly isolating, when I first put them on I could hear my heartbeat

Okay dope in that case get one of the cheaper Alclairs. If you grow out of them then it won’t be a big deal because by then you’ll want to upgrade

Hey Jake! Are you rocking the RSM Quads? I had a pair of Shure SE530’s (triple drivers) that I sent to a company to put them in a custom mold, but they just pooped out after 15+ yrs. Time to upgrade and looking for the best bang for the buck.

Hello, I have shure se 215 se in ear monitors. In bosnia and hercegovina nobody do this “custom monitors”, only guy who have firm who is making monitors for people who are deaf... Next question is, can I put those shure in ear monitros inside that “orange” mold, because he told me that mold is going to bake and I am afraid to not damage my shure se 215 with that baking process...

Great question. Not sure when ears stop growing! Maybe reach out to alclair directly to see if they have recommendations
Actually, our ears and noses never stop growing. At about 18-20 you tend to stop growing as rapidly. It varies from person to person of course. Most folks will find that their monitors need adjustment or re-shelling ever 5-7 years.
Hey Jake, have you ever had issues with your ears plugging up after using custom in ear monitors? I've had this happen with my shure in ears and was wondering if its a similar struggle with customs as well.
I haven't! You may want to get your ears cleaned or consult with an audiologist.
Did you see the wad of wax he pulled out of his ear?! Yes, he did! 😜 It’s common though. I bought a tool from Amazon that is basically a tiny silicon scoop with a light and camera that syncs to your iPhone so I can clean out my ears every once in a while. Don’t use cue tips!! That just compacts it all. If you keep the wax out of your ears, your IEM port won’t clog up nearly as often with wax, either.

Thanks for the info. Did you find that your mould in ears block out more sound than the Shure e 315? I've been using 215s my tinnitus makes we think I should jump up to moulded but am unsure of the isolation improvement as most specs are similar isolation DB wise

Hey - How do you like your customs? It's been a couple months, now.
I'm currently I'm using Sure's 315's they sound great n all, but I really miss hearing "the full product" including ambiance - the congregation, the stage "air". It's like cooking a great meal every week and never getting to eat - lol. Also looking into IEM's with ambience filters and was wondering if you had experience with them, or..
Did you set up stage mics? As a church plant, figure that'd be hard (time). I tried setting up some once before rehearsal, but didn't get very far...
I love my customs and use them every week. I'm used to not having congregation mics, but I've considered setting at least one up in the near future. That would definitely help with the ambiance.
@@Churchfront I've been asking for one for almost a year. We just set one up first time this week. It was nice during rehersals to hear everyone, but I needed to boost the mic during the real set... I'll deal with that next week. I'm still considering the Westone AU 30'S to allow ambient tone in..
This was really interesting, could do with finding a Uk based 1 though, I’m currently using Shure se 535, which I gotta say, I’m not blown away with them......, as yet, maybe it’s the sound desks that I’ve been going through 🤷🏻♂️

From what I learned, performing on stage sounds different from what the audience hear. Taking into consideration that they are on stage and everything is loud, it may cause hearing damage. This is where iems come into play with their excellent isolation while being able to hear the performance.

Seriously, cool video. I follow a lot of audiophile stuff online so it's neat to see one from a worship leading perspective. Maybe CIEM can be Christian in-ear monitor now. Did you look at other brands besides Alclair? It seems there is a partnership of sorts here but I am curious what alternatives you maybe considered.

Alclair Audio I know this doesn’t pertain to me necessarily but I have a A4Ts which is their quad drivers and I love them, I have a friend who has the Alclairs and he has yours guys quad driver series as well and he really enjoys them. I don’t think really think one is better than the other just based off personal opinions
