It was read and reported that group of inmates were planning to escape San Quentin including Haggard. But an old timer, I think a lifer convince Merle not to escape from prison because old timer told Merle that he has a gift from God. So, Merle waited until he was paroled from prison. Many years later in the 80s, same person was governor during Merle's time in prison became President of US, Ronald Reagan pardoned Merle Haggard of his crimes.

I understand it may be cold where you live. I understand this may be a "persona" you wish to live by. But you CANNOT listen to music through two thick woollen layers of your beanie.
