@@adamcramm Regardless of the price, she was telling them to give 60% of their business away. Basically means they are going to be working for the sharks and let the sharks bank most of the profit! I think she just said it just to be part of the conversation. XD
Sahand Tehrani I’m just saying you left out an important part of the quote. Also, it’s not so bad to get 40% of the profit when you know how much value those sharks bring to the table. That’s a lot less work they’ll have to do to market the product with a far better chance of success. I’d rather take 40% of a successful business than 100% of a failing one.

Janine back again with a risk free deal , all the couple needed to do was get a deal with glen @ 35% which would be fair (not on the numbers but on the value that glen can command in this situation) Janine made it sound like she would be talking/mentoring them on a daily basis - no chance she is going to be that involved
Hahaha.Omg that is so funny. Must have taken you hours to come up with that joke. You should do the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. I'm sure *you* will win joke of the festival.
I truly hope these Sharks skyrocket businesses - because these business owners could get a loan of 150K easily at any bank. There is no need to give away 50 percent of your company for such a small investment.
that's not necessarily the case, plus youll owe interest at a decently high rate. by selling the company, you know the shark has an interest in making it grow because they actually own the company as well, so you get the money, no interest rate, and the expertise
Steve, steve, steve... my favorite part of picking up my dog from the groomer is the cologne smell! It's like how you enjoy new car smell, but every time!
Maybe 'cause they both wanted Glen Richards's support as he's the founder of Greencross (Australia's largest pet care company. Also, PetBarn is part of Greencross).
How do these sharks invest time and enough attention to all of these companies they do deals with? It just seems crazy. (I’m aware that all of the deals don’t end up coming to fruition, but, even if a small percentage do, it’s still a lot of time.)
Yes, in that respect it is risky for Glen to let Janine into the deal at all, on any percentage. The entrepreneur would have 50% and no more; insufficient to pass an ordinary resolution on her own; and thus would need a Shark’s agreement. Even if Janine only had a fraction of 1%, her agreement would become “necessary and sufficient” for the entrepreneur if they wish to overrule Glen on something.
The dog grooming industry is absolutely huge! The company should have gotten what they ask for! I’m constantly trying to find a product good for my dogs skin and that doesn’t irritate mine!

After the entrepreneurs returned having done a discussion outside, Janine screwed herself & Glen up by stupidly & prematurely opening her mouth after Andrew asked what they had come up with.
