This video helped me swap out the 4x4 trim piece. I just ended up breaking the chrome tabs off with a straight pick tool and managed to keep the springs and plastic pieces together. I was definitely sweating it lol. Thanks for the great video. Subscribed
I think the ajt kit is designed to go over top of the old chrome stuff. It probably would have stayed in place if you didnt go the extra mile n remove the old chrome ring. I think meso makes better kits because theyre meant to fully replace the trim pieces. Not just hide them. I live in cali so 3m aint holding up in 110 degree weather. Probably 120 in my truck all day when I'm at work
@@ClassyTacos turned out great and its always worth putting in that extra work for a bette result. Finished watching almost all tour vids. Think I have 3-4 left. Great shit man that truck is killer. Tons of inspiration
You can do it with some patience and a slim pic tool. You do risk marring the plastic around it. You have to be easy with it and the clips are well placed. Good luck! Thanks for watching!
Tricky question with my situation. The climate control rings are cement. The A/C vent rings where the A/C comes out of are cement. The rings around the stat/4x4 select area black. Thanks for watching! Good luck with the install.

I agree, this took some patience, but I'm happy with it. I try to avoid the stick on stuff.

To change the climate controls, do you also access the same way by pulling that section out? I assume so, but wanted to confirm. Thanks!
Yes, that section of the center console does have to come off. Thanks for watching.
Theres no way to put in the chrome delete cup holder piece without removing the whole console is there?

Way too afraid to do this myself 🥶🥶
It’s not that, just take your time.
