Chloe: You rock! First off I want to say I'm an older guy with a daughter older than you so there's noting behind my comments other than true admiration ;-) I've owned 6 Tacomas already and I've just ordered my 7th which should arrive in about 2 weeks. It's a 2021 Red Tacoma TRD Sport. I'm so excited. I started looking around for accessories as I wait for my truck to come in. I happened onto your channel and just love it! You showed me some accessories I didn't even know existed. I'm going to do some of the interior options you demonstrated and the TRD air intake system. I'll keep watching. By the way, like a prior follower below, I was impressed with the CCR CD as well. Keep up the great work Chloe!
I just bought a 2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro with only 35K on it. It's the first vehicle I've purchased where I did not have to settle. I've watched several videos to learn about it and also get ideas for mods. While I'll be watching other channels, I subscribed to your channel because you really know your stuff. I just put in your recommended center console mod and I've ordered and am waiting for the LED mod kit. Next step is the TRD start stop button. Thanks for helping me make my "Taco" my own. I look forward to getting more ideas from you.
Chloe I found a way to do the license plate lights without having to get underneath and tear your hands up. Just take a screwdriver and carefully remove the plastic on the license plate lights lens. Came right out, insert the light back into the housing, and it popped right back in! Perfect without tearing up anything.
I bought the lights from Tacomabeast because of this video but after struggling a little on the dome light I found it easier to pull the whole thing off. Thanks for your content and keep it up.
Interesting this came in recommended. My Taco is my farm truck and spends much of its time axle deep in mud. LED bar, winch, bull bar, hybrid or mud tires, lift, and leather seats, are the only things I've changed. Everything in this video would have never occurred to me. To each his own.
Love the upgrades. I did the interior a week ago or so and the top console map lights can be changed by just pulling the entire thing down. It's just snapped into the roof. Then you can easily change the map lights from the back and pop the console back into the roof.
Additional interior mobs: Weather Tech floor liners. I bought them for both my parents and for my wife. Everyone loves them. I just need to buy them for myself. LOL
They have a center console tray now with a phone charger built in for a couple bucks more. I have one and I gave my old one to a neighbor for his Tacoma.
Just got a 21 trd offroad. It's my 3rd 3rd gen (2017 and 2020, both sr5 (I lease because I'm dumb)) and I was super excited about getting a push to start, but it turns out you don't get push to start with a manual. But at least I get a sunglass holder where your crawl control is (manual doesn't get crawl control either)
The map lights console can be pulled out as one piece. There's 1 plug that attaches to it. Unplug it and you have access to the lighting. It's much easier.
Chloe, one mod that I added was the radio knobs by Hondo Garage. The standard knobs on my 17 are like yours, and i found I was accidently changing settings with an errant finger rub. The Hondo knobs are great, I have not had any problems since the change. They are a bit pricey, but for me it was worth it. On the later infotainment systems, I think Toyota changed the design.
To get to the map lights, you get your fingers under the lip of the whole console, and steadily (but forcibly) pull down. Then you just remove bulbs from that direction. IMO, the MESO CUSTOMS dome and map lights are the bomb. Not only can you find the grains of sand on the floor afterwards, but they actually look better and have the appearance of coming straight from the factory
Nice vid! If anyone is watching this thinking about LED's, a little tip for the map lights. The tape trick works great - just be sure the lights are cool, if still warm they melt the adhesive on the tape and it slips right off. Ask me how I know...
Chloe! I thought of another couple of mods you should do, especially now that you have moved back to Southern CA. One is the addition of a hose clamp on the tailgate to help keep it from getting stolen. The other is to add this rubber hose onto the end of the air conditioning drain pipe, as the way it comes from the factory, will eventually cause your frame to rust out. I had no idea about this either, until this morning, so I will be doing that later today myself! Finally, regarding what you mentioned in this video, about the little "thingy" in the top of the center armrest, being a place to hold the key to the tailgate and doors, that was news to me, although I admit that it looked like the key fit in there perfectly as though that is indeed what is is supposed to be for! However, I have not been able to find anything from Toyota saying that indeed, that is what it is for! I have always thought that it was there to hold a pen/pencil in place, which is what I use mine for! The thing is, if it is made to hold the key, if and when your battery in your keyless entry fob goes out, how are you going to get into the vehicle if your emergency/spare key is inside of the center console armrest? I am assuming you have keyless entry as I do in my 2019 TRD Sport. The key in the keyless entry fob is to be used whenever the battery in the fob does bad and you cannot unlock the door. You then take out the key from the fob, use it to open the door, and then, according to instructions from Toyota, you then hold the keyless entry fob up to the push button start button, at which time you will be able to start the truck and get home or to the hardware store to get replacement battery for your fob. But again, if your spare key is in the console, you won't be able to get into the truck! Anyway, here are links to two videos explaining about the tailgate security measure, which I told you about, because tailgate thefts of 2018-present trucks are highest in Southern CA and Texas. They are REALLY EXPENSIVE to replace because of the basic tailgate itself, as well as the backup camera inside, and then of course, you would have to paint it to match your truck. It is over $2000 in total if it gets stolen! Here are the two links to the video of how to at least, dissuade one from being able to take the tailgate, and another video link about the AC drain hose mod. ruclips.net/video/GJt4A_hCIrs/видео.html ruclips.net/video/YmCK4ENFMZA/видео.html
Thank you so much for a straight forward and calm video with useful information. So many videos are all about screaming and yelling 😳. Keep up the great work.
Looking at getting the MESO customs chrome delete kit but had a question from your personal experience. MESO's instructions have you essentially taking the entire center console apart in order to switch out the chrome. Is there any reason why you couldn't do it all (minus the shift knob) using a flathead screwdriver as you did in this video? Only thing I can think of is the clips are different or it's just to prevent possibly damaging the console itself.
You picked some really sharp mods Chloe.....they definitely add to the utility and cool factor of an already beautiful truck. The subtle chrome touches look great.....understated but they stand out. Wishing you many happy and fun hours on the trails in your Taco 🛻🌮🏔😎
I enjoy watching your videos you a so talented and have a very pleasant voice. Do you think the LED vanity bulbs are to bright. I installed the drivers side vanity bulbs only.
It might have already been said but I recommend getting a plastic trim tool kit. It can keep you from making unwanted scratched and gouges in your plastic trim when removing stuff and they come in all shapes and sizes.
I sure do like the TRD Start/Stop button. I may get one for my Tacoma. The center console organizer sure does come in handy. I put one in my Tacoma a while back and it does make a difference. Also, I may upgrade my license plate lights. I upgraded my interior lights sometime back and it makes a nice difference on interior lighting. You do a great job on showing how to do these mods.
Hey, great vid. I got that same tray for the console, I'm in there a lot and found it was kinda slippery-ish to pull out and put back quickly. {If you have one you'll know what I mean.} I got some sticky-back grip tape from the hardware store and put a few small pieces on it. Worked great.
Definitely LEDs. Check out headlight revolution for exterior ones too. In my opinion, a truck this new shouldn't have yellow looking lights. I've been pondering that center console tray too, but I also don't know if I want to take it out every time I need to get some of my larger items.
You really made that look simple and easy I’ve been wanting to put LED interior lighting but have heard it can cause problems later on with the electrical system.
I don't have a Tacoma but I've put interior LED's in my current and former cars and so far, only my trunk light in my Mustang had a problem. It was because it was the wrong bulb but I forced it in so sometimes it doesn't turn on. The interior of my Mustang works fine. My Miata, VW Rabbit, WRX, and Camry all held up. I have really old LED's and it wasn't bright enough for the exterior during daylight but technology probably has gotten better. One thing to note is that the lights may not be 100% off because it requires very little power to light it and the car always sends very little power, even when off. But the light is so dim that you wouldn't know unless you stare at it
The glove box and center console organizers should come standard. They are amazing. And I dont know about that piece holding the extra key since there is one in your key fob. But it does hold a pen.
You should get the OEM tailgate lock kit next, so that it works with your power locks and key fob. Part# PK3B6-35JS0 (for DCSB). Then you don't have to worry about carrying that extra key around!
I love the start/stop .. going to order one.👍 for under $225 for both , I got the TRD pro grill and the TRD pro shift knob. Two great add on’s for not very much money🙂
Hey I came across your channel where you and your dad drove from NY to SD. That was awesomeness! Lol I’m also digging your truck. I have a Chevy Colorado 🤣 and I did the same exact mods to mine . The interior lights and center console haah anyways great video! Greetings from LA 🤙🏾
For the map bulbs. You can actually remove the bulbs from behind the unit. Just pop off the housing from the headliner and you can twist the bulb off like any other bulbs. No need for tape. Not sure why no ones figured this out yet :)
For the longest time, I thought that slot under the center console lid was for a tire pressure gauge. 💀 Thanks for the insight for what its really for, haha.
I guess the MESO customs TRD start button has been discontinued?? I can't seem to find it on their website. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for the videos! Your videos have helped a lot while I've been making a decision on which Taco to purchase next... 2022 TRDOR Ext. cab.
@ChloeKuo I switched the interiors lighting in my 21 Tacoma and blew a fuse because I forced the dome bulb, would you happen to know where and which one is the fuse? Thanks!
I tried the tape thing on the bulbs and got no where so I just got under the corner of tsohe overhead panel and just pulled it's just held bye pins you can then get the bulb so easy and if the polarity is wrong just switch them around
Apologies for some of the "pixelated" clips in this video--hopefully I won't have that issue in the next video. Thanks for watching :)
Very nice mod. Would you send me the link for the LED lights please thanks in advance.
Is nice see a girl whit a passion for the Tacoma; great video. I want replace the start/stop buttom, it looks great, congratulations !!!

here you go
no worries, cant wait to see you work on the build.
May I ask where you buy the interior kit from? I have 2012 Tacoma. Please let me know, thank you 🙏🏻!

That means a lot to me! Happy modding on the 2021 Sport 😊
Chloe you have good knack for teaching people how to do installations and removal of stuff on videos and in sequence!!! Well done!!!
The little things in life that makes you happy... ABSOLUTELY!!!
Any idea where I can find the TRD start stop button in black? Seems to be sold out everywhere :( it's just plastic!
I just bought a 2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro with only 35K on it. It's the first vehicle I've purchased where I did not have to settle. Awesome video. Nice and concise. I was hesitant about purchasing LED lights but the demonstration on how easy it is to install them helped.
This is the second video of your that I've watched and so far, you're two for two! Many thanks for sharing your discoveries with everyone.
I use the Off roam phone holder and it keeps my phone in place thru all terrain.I highly recommend it.
I literally stumbled across this video in my recommended list. I was just looking at the LED pack the other day. Great video showcasing the mods.
Thanks for solving the "key holder" mystery in the console lid . Keep the great videos coming.
Huh. I bought mine used and it doesn't have a lock on it. I thought it was a pen holder
Pretty sure that is a pen holder sized for the common BIC pens.
Definitely a pen holder.
It is a pen holder.
My salesman put a chrome dealership pen in mine when I bought it.
I really enjoy your videos. I pick up my new 2021 TRD Off Road Tacoma next week and I’m already planning to do the LED lighting upgrade.
When I saw the CCR cd in the console I instantly hit subscribe. ;-)
I subscribed earlier but when I saw Credence I unsubscribed! Just kidding! Chloe do yourself a favor and get some Gentle Giant to listen to!
Creedence Clearwater Revival. There's hope for the future.
I love that you show us the quick instillations! Great video

I’m so glad I found your channel 🙏🏽 I have the exact same truck as you but everything is stock.
Let the binge watching begin 🙇🏻♂️
So much good stuff Chloe! Getting my new Taco 🌮 this summer. I miss my old one.

Nice interior upgrades! I've been looking at that new start button.
Just got my 2021 TRD off-road last week and your videos are so cool and informative thank you!!
You picked some really sharp mods Chloe.....they definitely add to the utility and cool factor of an already beautiful truck. The subtle chrome touches look great.....understated but they stand out. Wishing you many happy and fun hours on the trails in your Taco 🛻🌮🏔😎
The key holder. It also holds a writing pen. It clicks rite in there. 👌
Idk why but I prefer interior mods over exterior mods. Hey cool RUclips channel keep it up !!
I enjoy watching your videos you a so talented and have a very pleasant voice. Do you think the LED vanity bulbs are to bright. I installed the drivers side vanity bulbs only.
Awesome mods... it makes me want to make a video and show off all the things I have done to my 2020 Army green Taco. Great video!

I need to purchase that lighting kit. Seems easy enough to install.
Sidenote: Nice CCR CD!
Good to know you’re a fan of CCR. Love the CD collection.
Nice vid, I'm wondering if the light kit would work in my Canadian 1999 Camry...
Just did the interior and license plate lights, looks great!
There's also a Mod for the glove department(shelve divider)....made so much room with it in my box area...
Hey, great vid. I got that same tray for the console, I'm in there a lot and found it was kinda slippery-ish to pull out and put back quickly. {If you have one you'll know what I mean.} I got some sticky-back grip tape from the hardware store and put a few small pieces on it. Worked great.
Another one of your great videos love the mods
I wish they had a larger aftermarket knob for the radio volume. The stock small smooth sided knob sucks..
Definitely LEDs. Check out headlight revolution for exterior ones too. In my opinion, a truck this new shouldn't have yellow looking lights.
I've been pondering that center console tray too, but I also don't know if I want to take it out every time I need to get some of my larger items.
And I thought I was the only one who carried a rescue tool for seat belts/windows. Smart lady.
crowd shouting: *lift kit lift kit lift kit lift kit*
Just got the LEDs. Thanks as always for the ideas! Simple stuff is always nice!
I love your vids so informative, new to Tacoma
You really made that look simple and easy I’ve been wanting to put LED interior lighting but have heard it can cause problems later on with the electrical system.

Every time you start your truck, it'll be with your custom button installed by you, good idea.
Sweet upgrades Chloe. Slowly but surely your Taco is looking good. Keep it up. 👍🏽😎
Dude.... Another home run! Great video. 🤙🏼
That electrical tape works like a charm 👍🏽🤙🏽
"...also graceful." I said the same thing as you did it, hilarious. Great vid!!
I don’t even own a Tacoma but I enjoy your videos. I do want to get a Tacoma one day. Instead I got a 2020 Civic Si lol
EXTREMELY helpful; many thanks !
Super dope vid! Thanks 4 the video🤙🏾

I have a 2022 trd off road 6 speed manual, do you know if the center console is smaller in the manual?
The led mod was fantastic!!! Even though I did have a hard time with the dome light swap still great, Thanks!!
Appreciated these mods a lot. Thanks.
Dang girl CCR? Great taste in music! I just got a trd pro look forward to making some of these mods!
This was a very helpful video! Thanks!
I love the start/stop .. going to order one.👍 for under $225 for both , I got the TRD pro grill and the TRD pro shift knob. Two great add on’s for not very much money🙂
That’s a great deal!! The shift knob alone is ridiculously expensive, so props to you
Do you know if the TacomaBeast LED interior lights will work on a 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport?
Hey I came across your channel where you and your dad drove from NY to SD. That was awesomeness! Lol I’m also digging your truck. I have a Chevy Colorado 🤣 and I did the same exact mods to mine . The interior lights and center console haah anyways great video! Greetings from LA 🤙🏾

Good choice in music young Lady! 👍( CCR CD)
Good music choice in your center console!
Love your style and your colors, very impressive see a woman know her way around a vehicle :-) thank you enjoyed it
Does Tacoma Beast sell the sets in blue? I want to do my interior in blue to match my truck.
For the longest time, I thought that slot under the center console lid was for a tire pressure gauge. 💀 Thanks for the insight for what its really for, haha.
Awesome video Chloe! Whats your favorite trail that you take your taco to.
I guess the MESO customs TRD start button has been discontinued?? I can't seem to find it on their website. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for the videos! Your videos have helped a lot while I've been making a decision on which Taco to purchase next... 2022 TRDOR Ext. cab.
Great content!! Watched a few or your videos, so keep it up!!!
I had a 2018 TRD off road, I miss it. I end up trading it in for a tundra
Get your rest over there CK they should make a CK model love
all your little touches you did on your truck
@ChloeKuo I switched the interiors lighting in my 21 Tacoma and blew a fuse because I forced the dome bulb, would you happen to know where and which one is the fuse? Thanks!
Anode and Cathode...did you get that from the literature that came with the lights or are you familiar with electronics?
Awesome Video!! Thank you for the recommendation for Tacomabeast! Great tips for installing!🤠👍
I tried the tape thing on the bulbs and got no where so I just got under the corner of tsohe overhead panel and just pulled it's just held bye pins you can then get the bulb so easy and if the polarity is wrong just switch them around
Will Meso ever get the TRD start stop buttons back in stock?
FYI, a pen fits better in the tailgate key holder.
I was going to comment that that is for a pen
no option for 2016+ light kit on Tacoma beast. Assuming they’re sold out for the time being?
Thanks for the instructional video! Helped me out a ton! Keep up the good work!
Very cool upgrades! Thanks for sharing and how to install!!
Awesome video Chloe! Love the mods!
Will the Tacomabeast LED interior lights work for the 2021 Tacoma?
I'm hopefully getting my first pickup on Friday :-)
Damn, I just bought a third mod for my truck as a result of you video. Good stuff there. (LED light kit from Tacomabeast)
