It wasn’t perfect but you could see the talent WW has. Hes big, fast, strong… ball came out fast and in a rope. Most raw talent we’ve had back there in a long time, hope we can coach him up.
This was the BEST take on HB and other QB options! I've definitely given you some grief in the past on the qb situation, but this was perfect and changes the way I see things!
The future begins again every day. Yesterday's future is today. My point is that Payton gives us the best chance to win the next game and winning the next game affects the next game and the next. If Auburn wins Saturday, our chances of winning the IB go up exponentially. If we win both games, we become bowl eligible which affects the immediate future and the long-term future. Our team gets the opportunity to play another game and have more practice time, not to mentions the positive effects on recruiting. A bowl game will give younger players and newly signed recruits the opportunity to get experience in the system. All these things have the potential to increase the probability for a brighter long-term future. Letting Payton finish the season IS planning for the future. It's not that complicated. War Eagle!
This is a question for C5 or anyone who knows.... Was the snap rate faster (When PT was in) in this game than any other game? It felt like the first time we actually tried a truly fast pace offense. I could be wrong though.
Cal game Peyton threw four ints. Warranted a change at qb. Hank threw three picks in a half against a subpar opponent. Hank has no mobility so he’s a liability with a bad OL. Think it’s pretty obvious why Hank lowers the floor of the offense and the ceiling is the same.
Yes I think Hugh wanted to see if walker could move the football, but it seem to stall. He needed the experience, but you could easily see Peyton moved the ball better. We definately are going to n eed Deuce.
HF just tryin to scratch out some wins imo, this season hasn't gone the way HF or any Auburn fan anticipated and PT has been one of the biggest reasons, thats not a reach or a knock on him, it just is. we didn't get a portal QB after 23 with the "better pieces" around him narrative...he hasnt been what was expected, no sugar coating that. But after HF pulled Hank at Arky, after a painstaking review of film and sit downs with both QBs he made a change because PT was not getting the job done, he was very clear about that. He revisited that decision during the bye week and spoke it out loud, "but we aren't winning" thats why he thought about it, if PT was who he was supposed to be this never would have been a consideration. Regardless, PT is the best option at this point but we better have the back up plan ready, he was holding his arm late and his pace on some balls Saturday wasnt great especially outside boundary throws, and the placement wasnt great, KLS and Cam did a terrific job on those throws. One big hit on that shoulder and we better have that plan ready. Hopefully PT will survive unscathed and we will get a balanced plan that will allow us to move it and score. We can flat out stop TAMU butts cold with DJs boys, bring em on, JHS Saturday night, im going Auburn WDE!
Y'all just don't have anything else to talk about or what? This QB overreaction shit is dumb. It was their last chance to get a look at Walker before next year. They have seen Hank in games. They have seen Holden in games. It isn't rocket surgery. Stop trying to make something out of nothing

Hope so as well
Remember Nix started as a true freshman.
Hugh trying to find the best mobile threat, that is what runs his offense
The most successful QBs he’s had weren’t very mobile

C5 I truly appreciate your thoughtful, measured and levelheaded analysis. It has been an oasis in the midst of the desert this entire season!!!!
Everything starts with the OL.
I'm ready for Saturdays game
Payton Thorne had 4 td in previous for 4 games. Vs ulm and A&M he has 9td vs p4 teams 9td 7 interceptions
I'm just looking for a better next year. Whatever Hank does I wish him the best. Hank will be a good QB going forward. Likely not at Auburn sadly.
Agreed, I think we already have more talent with WW and Deuce.. Hank will be jumped.
I think Hank still has a chance if he's patient but don't blame him for whatever he decides
We don't have Deuce yet.
The reason is red shirt, White can play now without losing red shirt... come on you know this...
Guess we dont need to go to further games then

Right now we still can get a bowl game. If a bowl game was out of the question then I could see a QB change.

Great points
C5 come on man freeze was forced to make a QB change after cal from the big money folks
Auburn might be 7-3 with a good qb.

It's not fair to rate a backup QB by how they do in garbage time because he's playing with second and third team ol and receivers.
It all boils down to no decent qb play and left tackle , game plan , play calling
Best chance to win? lmao... He has a losing record... case closed

But what about Deuce in that scenario ?
In what scenario?
Next year with Hank Walker Portal QB and Deuce. Who wins back up job if we get Portal QB and what do the others do ?

No J Hunter gives Auburn the best chance to win….
