Dickert has been out coached every game on the road this year.

You guys jinxed them with the cf25 loss lol

It's the same game we played on the road all year, and sometimes at home too. This time we didn't have any key turnovers to bail us out. It was bound to happen and I for one would like more answers to the second half breakdowns from coach aside from "communication" being the problem. Good review guys, I can't wait to watch the next one. Go Cougs!

Okay-no excuse-but Albuquerque's elevation is the same as Denver's, "The Mile High City." I lived there, and it makes a huge difference, took my wife and me 10 days to adjust - the defense just seemed gassed. Still, I was yelling at the screen in the pub - "Call time out!!"

Dickert was out of Oxygen, makes sense now why they forgot they had the timeouts, and why the OC forgot to call more run plays! 😂

@TheCouchGM WSU Cougs defense totally SUCKS! They can't stop anyone! Losing to OSU Beav's! It's now very disappointing season!!! Wyoming will win next week! Cougs defense SUCKS!!!

Completely avoidable loss. Coaches can’t make simple adjustments to repeated plays. Not stacking the box, bad clock-management. Really frustrating.

Lack of adjustments by the OC till most of the way through the 4th quarter is becoming pretty standard.

I love Coach Dickert. I feared he would be bought away. He is a terrific coach. But after the last few games I don’t fear it any more. He’ll be back and that is a great thing for the Cougs. Everyone on earth learns from their mistakes. It seems a little slower this year. But, can you name any coach who would come to Pullman and do better? This loss sucks, but we have a great team and it looks like we will next year too.

Ooof. Painful for WSU fans for sure but at least the Cougs scored points. OSU was throttled.

One final thought. I have said this before, but I keep hearing Huskyland bar room BSrs claiming the Huskys are going to sell the stadium to get Mateer. The guy is just carrying too much of the load for other’s shortcomings. I’m not much of an optimist. Praying I’m wrong.

Huskies aren’t getting Mateer Lol. They have Demond Williams who’s a freshman dual threat with tons of promise for next season, and no Coug would make that move. They’re trolling.

This was not a collapse by WSU. New Mexico just formed together, the defense finally started to get stops, and the offense set that scoreboard on fire.

All the respect to Dampier and Sanders, but WSU coaching absolutely cost them this game.

Wazzu has no business being anywhere near the AP top 25. They should have plummeted to at least 35 if not lower. Time to hope they win out and salvage the season.

Hard for me to put any blame whatsoever on Mateer here. He was absolutely brilliant in every way. Slight blame to Arbuckle for not running the ball more (though he called a flawless 1st half), slight blame to Dickert for the clock mgmt & lack of 3rd quarter adjustments (though his defense was gassed & tired from the elevation), FULL blame to Schmedding. He needs to go IMMEDIATELY and let Dickert take over the defense again. Still an amazing season though, GO COUGS

Cougs have soft schedule and still suffered 2 losses so far. Boise and Oregon are best in the west.

Schmedding needs to go. Arbuckle needs to go. The decision to continue calling passing plays when UNM was dropping 8 and only rushing 3 was inexcusable.

I'm concerned about John not committing to WSU this week on a Podcast? Acting like the NIL is what is?
The rest of the team gave up after his Non Commit?

  • @william_mac

I can't say that I disagree with your points in the podcast. What frustrates me with you is that you keep harping on this idea that John and Jake will be gone this year. That tells me you don't know Cougar mentality. Jake is here to stay, he'll learn from this. John has a good thing here, I don't believe he'll go anywhere. Now stir that up in your pot of bullshit!

Cougar mentality didn’t keep Cam Ward when NIL money and larger visibility for the NFL came knocking.
Dunno if John is on an NFL trajectory so he probably needs to maximize his NIL now.
Dickert is much more likely to stay.
