These are great for making and donating for homeless shelters. Socks are one of the main thing people forget to donate and they would be great boot Socks!
I've watched a few videos on making socks and enjoyed this one as well. I liked the way you sewed up to the heel, back stitched, folded the heel upward and continued. It reinforced the heel so less chances of coming apart. I'm gathering as much information as possible to make them as fast as possible, so I can get them to local shelters to distribute to the less fortunate. Thank-you for the video.
Thank you! I've been looking at different tutorials and most of them just say "Here's the dimensions I used, just adjust these to your own measurements". You showed what that meant! Very helpful!
I would recommend that you should add at least 1/2" to the measurement of your foot because even with the sewing allowance that you show when cutting out the pattern, the sock comes out quite tight in the length. I also think if you are using heavier fleece it matters more with the increase to the pattern size. Glad I only made one sock before cutting out the second foot, now I have to adjust to recut again. I think you should also mention about putting right sides together when sewing, people might forget this step because you are showing a single color, so it's hard to see that you are sewing right sides together. AND you should say exactly how much seam allowance you are cutting for, hard to tell in the video.
As a safety feature you should add either dots or squiggles of acrylic puff paint or hot glue to bottom of slippers. I love these. I already have the fleece to make them. 💖💖💖💖💖
the problem is the arch area is way too slim and the heal part butts out way too much. Need to redo pattern to fit wider feet and heals that don't protrude.
I would guess that at 1:34 when they measure 10cm for the heel part, you could just increase this to your desired length. I haven't tried this yet, but it makes sense in my mind! 🤞

Thank you for the helpful details you provide in this video!!! Especially making the pattern and stretch direction. Perfect vid! ❤
Unlike a lot of other fleece sock videos, this give clear and easy to follow directions. So making these for this coming winter. Thank you.
😯...and I'm off to Joanne's...💯
Fantastic tutorial. Seems like a great christmas gift. You could add dots/lines to the sole with puffy paint to add grip.

It would be better if you used a 2 pattern piece with a simple fold and short seams for heel placement.
Good video. I subscribe.
Excelente!!! gracias =)

How would I make the taller like mid calf?

🤩😄👍
bellos
I like this project, but I know to make these with this type of measurements. I need the inches, yard, that type of thing before I make these. 🙏🏾
Thank you for watching. 6 cm = 2,4 inches, 10 cm = 4 inches (about).
