For the 5 lug rear rotors, you can use 98-02 v6 honda accord rear rotors or 02-06 base model acura rsx rear rotors.
hey man, nice work! i did the same to my cb9 a couple years ago, wish i had a video like this to watch before doing it! the research was a journey 😂
Thank you for your service. I will be needing these videos for my cb9
Great video, glad you mentioned the part at the, since 5th gen rear spindles won't work on LX/DXmodels since they have a shorter rear bolt. I'm a bit surprised you didn't change out the lower shock bushings, paint the dust shields (or put your old wagon dust shields).
Can’t fucking wait for this to release. Love all of your content
Appreciate the kind words - just trying to help out the Accord and Tacoma communities while creating these videos.
My 90 accord ex auto seat belts stop workin. Gonna replace belt alarm module do to rust. Any other recommendations??
Buenas, para hacer ese cambio yo tengo un Accord cd5 94 que ya viene de disco atrás pero será que le funcionan los rotores de Prelude 5gen por que veo que hiciste el cambio completo o es necesario hacerlo
I'm from springfield Massachusetts I'm looking for oem leather interior for my 1990 accord ex I seen u pulled door panels was wondering if they still available
I have 1990 cb7 LX non discks on rear can I use from prelude 5th gen assembly nukle and control arm or what would be the recipe for it thsnks like your content 👍🏻👍🏻
I love your videos man... So i have a 93 accord lx wagon with drum brakes... what so I need to do to convert to 5 lug?
Best bet would be to convert to disk brakes on the rear with the Prelude rear hub. Find a rear brake and spindle setup from a 90-97 EX Sedan or coupe and use those parts.
@@randomrebuildswhat brake pads do i use? i got the control arm for the disc swap and doing the 5 lug swap too just not sure what pads to get for the rear
What are nut measures?
i plan on doing this for my 95 accord wagon lx. did you ever connect your e brake to the rears and is there anything special needed?
also is the brake balance proper?
great videos btw!
Since mine was EX and had discs already, it was more simpler to swap rather than doing drum to disc conversion at the same time
@@randomrebuilds thanks for the reply homie, ill get it all figured out
@@treylude hey bro, so what did you end up using? i've got a 94 wagon lx that i want to do the same to
@@adrianjacosta i havent gotten around to it just yet but i have settled on using an aftermarket proportioning valve like wilwood
I already have rear rotors on my 93 EX Sedan so I only need to replace the hub and rotors but, can those rotors be used in the fronts also?
Doubtful as the fronts are usually larger than the back brakes. I'm not 100% so you'd need to measure both and compare.
Hey, I've got a CD6 I believe. 97 Sedan lx. It's got drums in the rear. I'd like to do 5 lug disc conversion. I'm not sure if these will match up. If you can confirm that would be awesome. Thanks.
You would need these, plus the rear trailing arms. Also the back lower control arms as well but I can't confirm on that.
I’m in RVA.. and thinking about doing this to a 97 accord coupe but I got drums in rear and special tips on that conversion ?
You’ll follow the same process but you’ll have to add different brake lines I went with Valex steel braided lines and you’ll also have to get the e brake cables for discs.
HEY Brother. I want to ask what the right size is and where did you get your rear hub 5 lugs. im having difficulty in getting them. i try QRT and a couple of brands, they don't fit. i'm stuck with this project. can you help me out. i have the rear assembly just like you had on your video. but can't find the right hub with the 5 lugs for a 96 accord 4 door v6.can you tell me where u got yours and the brand or company where you got them from so i can order them. thanks ..keep up with the videos they are really helpful.
Detroit Axle brand - 97-01 Honda Prelude
@@randomrebuilds
Question… is the 96 honda accord 4 dr sedan , the same 97 rear suspension, cause i bought a 96 wheel assembly and the 97-01 prelude doesn’t fit, can u help me with this ? I will appreciate
Are the hubs from Detroit Axel also? If not can you share what manufacturer you used?
Yes they are Detroit Axle
where can i buy
I have a cb7 sedan , but is drum brakes , at the rear , what parts can i use to convert mine into disks brakes and from what year make and model thanks in advance
'90-'93 Accord Sedan/Coupe rear knuckles and brake lines/calipers/brackets.
@@randomrebuilds thanks brother
@@randomrebuilds do i need the trailing arms too or just the knuckles
I got a drum in the back of mine does it work the same ?
You will need to do a rear disk conversion as I’m not familiar if a rear drum 5 lug conversion would work or not.
Hey I have a 1997 CD7 accord EX wagon and am wondering if you possibly would know if this would work and if it does I would also like to know what year integra type R you got the brake drums from ? Please and thank you
Yes, this should work on a '97 Accord wagon as 90-97 Accord shares the same suspension setups. The rotors were from a 2000 Integra Type R. Acura RSX rear rotors I've heard also work but haven't tried yet.
@@randomrebuilds thank you so much for replying love the content currently buying the parts for the rear and gonna do the front as well soon
@@randomrebuilds hey I tried the rear hub swap and it doesn’t fit the knuckle I bought the prelude ones but what would I do now if they don’t fit ? 🤔I’m a little lost lol
You will need Sedan/Coupe 90-97 EX rear knuckles. Trying to use Wagon EX knuckles - the shaft is too thick for the Prelude Hubs.
Do you know if It'll be the same process for the cb7 that came with rear disk brakes? i would assume so but I just want to make sure if a 97 ex is the same as the cb7 with rear disk brakes.
The CB7 will not need rear spindle replacement as the wagon has a larger shaft than than the CB7 sedan/coupe.
@@randomrebuilds so can I still do the 5 lug swap with a 97-01 prelude hub?
@@fuexueyg7408 yes since you’ve already got sedan/coupe spindles it’s much easier
@@randomrebuilds nice! Thanks for answering my question.
внутренняя поверхность подшипника ведь не полностью на валу сидит - плохо ему не станет?
How much did you sell those tires for in Europe? What do they go for?
Or wheels I should say.
@@joseduenas4700 I think $50 EA
I have a 1998 accord 4 lug I want to put the new factory 5 lug on how can I do that
Me too
Id assume you could swwap over EX V6 front knuckle assemblies and the rear hubs as well.
Why couldn’t you have used your original rear disc knuckle assembly to do the swap?
The axle shaft is too thick for the Prelude 5 lug hub - will not go on at all.
Ohh ok it’s specifically for the cb9 wagon rear huh? Ok thanks
Why you can't just change the hub???
The axle diameter is larger on wagon vs coupe/sedan.
