What makes a perfect pass in volleyball? Obviously the correct technique has a lot to do with it, but subjectively-speaking, a good pass depends a lot on the pass location and trajectory. While the basic serve receive technique is the same between indoor volleyball and beach volleyball, the location and trajectory of a good pass is very different.
In this video, I talk about the differences between a good pass in indoor vs a good pass in beach volleyball. The two sports are very different, so this information is very important to know!

While the basic skills are similar, there is SO MUCH about indoor and beach volleyball that are different. A big difference is where we want to pass the ball.... doing an indoor style pass on the beach WILL NOT WORK, and vice versa. I hope you find these tips helpful!

Awesome video as usual Sarah. I am glad to see that my instinctive passing indoor was kind of in line with good practice - but do you have any advice for how to avoid overpassing? This happens to me a lot on strong (and intimidating) serves, and i don't quite know how to relax my body and absorb the energy
