Yes! This beautiful song was written by the great Willie Nelson and couldn’t have been sung more beautifully; Patsy Cline will always be a Queen ❤️ By the way, she’s wearing that headband because she has been in a very bad car accident and was covering the wound/scar

Her voice was pitch perfect on every note. I don’t mean it was “close,” but it has been analyzed to show almost every note was exactly, perfectly where it was supposed to be. It is unheard of, even for the best singers.

Since she died so long ago, there isn't much actual live footage of film with her in it,so the photos are just stills of her life to give us something to emotionally connect with her.The song isn't really even a break-up song as much as it is a reflection on her bad judgement. This song could go either way for a man or woman to be singing it.It is the classic,'the heart wants what it wants' whether it is logical or not.

My man, without a doubt, you just heard the best ever voice in country music. What Elvis' voice was to rock n roll, Patsy's voice was to country. And I dont care what anyone says. Not up for argument. Yep I went there, ha.
Seriously though, Patsy was such a pure singer. Good gosh her tone and that deep alto resonance in her thick voice was untouchable and unmatchable. Sadly she died young and we will never know what she could have achieved. Still, she left enough songs to be considered a legend.
I dont think the pictures are about the song. As a matter of fact, Patsy didnt like this song at first. Didnt want to record it. And didnt like the topic. But was convinced it would be a big hit. And the rest is history. It was a huge hit and one of the greatest country songs and performances ever recorded.
This style with the strings and more classy less honky tonk sound was called "countrypolitan". Made famous by Chet Atkins (great legendary guitarist and producer) and singers such as Jim Reeves (check out some of his hits. Amazing voice also) Anyway, different style of country music.
The song was written by Willie Nelson. And also on his album "Songs That Made Me Famous..." He sings it in every concert. Huge song.
Check out Jim Reeves "He'll Have To Go" for the flip side of this situation.

Patsy Cline is from my hometown of Winchester Virginia and my mom went to school with her. I remember exactly where I was the day she died in the plane crash. We were out in the barn milking the cows and my grandmother came out to tell us about the plane crash and she had died 😢😢😢 My families burial plots are in the same cemetery as hers.

Grew up with this older country music, my mom had a huge floor model am/fm radio- 8 track player- cassette player and record player stereo and every Sunday was her day to play her favorite artist and songs, this was one her favorites along with Kitty Wells's song "it wasn't God who made honky tonk angels" so many great songs from way, way back, my mom passed in 2003 and miss her terribly and whenever I hear these reminds me of her, thanks for your reactions to all these greats

Patsy Cline is one of the country royals. She layed the foundation for a lot of legendary female artists down to this day. Since many will spam the comments with her great songs, I would like to suggest another powerhouse female that also helped to lay that foundation. "Loretta Lynn - You Ain't Woman Enough (To Take My Man)" Patsy and Loretta were close friends. Patsy took Loretta under her wing and the two even toured together. It's been said that Patsy even leant Loretta her clothes when needed. Now that's true friendship! lol 😆 Both of these legends have an extensive collection and definitely a great rabbit hole (in my humble opinion)

Though arguments could be made for Karen Carpenter "Rainy Days and Mondays", Gladys Knight "Neither One of Us", Cyndi Lauper "True Colors", Dobie Gray "Drift Away", Barry Manilow "When October Goes", Neil Sedaka "Breaking Up is Hard to Do (slow version)"...

Pstsy felt every song she sang. She had a cry in her voice & many times she was really crying while recording. Listen to "Sweat Dreams" & "Faded Love". You won't be sorry. Many fans & artists considered Patsy Cline the greatest female Country Singer!! First hit 1957 #1"Walkin' after Midnight" to last hit (l think) 1963 #7 "Faded Love" Recorded for only 7 yrs & Patsy is still being talked about today. If Patsy was starting out today, they would of ruined her voice with autotune & taken out all the emotions she sings with.

Patsy Cline was a country star from Virginia, and her career was short, but memorable... In 1961, just as her career was taking off, Patsy Cline was involved in a car accident... She was lucky to survive after being thrown through the windshield... her forehead was slashed in the crash and that is why in the video footage, she was wearing a wig and a headband to cover her injuries. Unfortunately, she did not survive the plane crash that ended her life in 1963 while she was touring... Patsy Cline left behind a husband and 2 children (R.I.P.)

It's a sad thing that this part of music history is fading. The early years of country music were some of the greatest. Dolly Parton, Tammy Wynette, George Jones, Merle Haggard among others were the early pioneers. I am afraid that this era will just fade away and be forgotten.

Another get rich scheme, they grew mushrooms under everyone's trailer in the park.Another time they traded cartons of cigarettes for marijuana, they laid train tracks for model trains to cross the Canadian border into the US
